I loved this place. As soon as I walked in the door everyone treated me like family. I had the best Calzone ever and the flatbread was good to. I’m in New Orleans allot and wish I would have found this place long ago. If you want a friendly place to relax and enjoy lunch or dinner then this is it. They also have several huge TV’s which make keeping up with news and sports easy!

I can’t remember what I had when I went here but I know it was pretty good. I do remember that I had a pizza and that I enjoyed it, although since I can’t remember it, it definitely wasn’t one of the best I’ve ever had. As far as the restaurant goes, we had good service, the restaurant was clean for the most part. It was pretty empty in there too.

Somehow my review of this place has disappeared, so let me bullet-point it. When I was there I had: Bland food I attentive waitstaff Waitstaff complaining about the job less than 3ft from me Burnt appetizers that they tried to hide with a sauce The store manager discover that the people next to me we’re related to a famous new Orleans chef and spent the night sucking up to them.

A simple review. I had the small pepperoni pizza for lunch and the pizza was great! It looked good and followed through on that promise. Pepperonis were crispy and the cheese was perfect. I do agree that the overdependence on TV sets everywhere(and by nearly every restaurant it seems) is annoying, but I was here for the pizza, not to hang out. Service wasn’t out of the ordinary in either direction, the place was clean, and the bartender was great to look at. I will be back, but its all about that great pizza.

I buy lunch for my sales staff every Saturday and they continue to pick Pie over any other restaurant. Great food and fast delivery.

I’ve been here only once. I wasn’t WOW-ed. The drinks were good, the pasta was good. It was nothing spectacular. I’m sure they’re consistent and if they are, I’d come back for some good pizza and pasta. I will say, though, it’s just a tad bit over priced for me. Considering that there are so many other places like this for less $$$. All I’m saying is, what makes this place so different, unique and overall BETTER to charge a little more than everyone else? I had two cocktails and a pasta dish = $ 29. I think I’ll drink and cook at home next time.

I went back to try the lasagna. It was very good, very meaty, very rich. I like Brick Oven and Red Gravy better, but lasagna is lasagna – it’s hard to find a bad one. Husband didn’t care for his onion vodka sauce pasta. The flavors were good, just a matter of personal preference.

Just ate here & I really enjoyed it — service was fast … maybe just a bit too fast(I think they should wait until after you have finished your salad or soup before they bring out your entrée) But all in all a very nice place & very yummy food. I got the tomato basil soup — very tasty & it came w/a piece of crusty OHMYGOSH delicious piece of bread(freakin’ heaven sent!) & then would you believe the tomato basil pasta w/chicken added … I asked for more sauce cuz I really like ALOT of sauce & the waiter was very accomodating! My honey has the ceasar salad & it looked good & not drenched in the dressing & then had the lasange — to me the sauce was very sweet. Wait staff was great — very helpful, very attentive, very nice! The bar looked GORGEOUS — it has a gorgeous mosaic tiled front & then the background lights kept changing very soothingly — made me want to go over & have many different kinds of cool drinks! I can’t wait to go back to try their pizzas!

I ordered food and then an hour later they called to tell me 4.3 miles was too far for them to deliver. Sarah, the assistant manager was rude and hung up on me when I asked why they couldn’t deliver 4 miles. There are tons of pizza places around. Go to one that treats its customers better than this.

We were back last night(Saturday, 6PM) with our«Double Deal» coupon. Ditto my original comments on the food. We split a Greek salad and a Pulled Pork Pizza. The salad was large and really good. More than enough for two. Lots of black olives, fresh mushrooms, feta and good mix of onions, lettuce and cucumbers. Greek salad is pretty simple, but it is amazing how many places just go through the motions. Despite plans to try the veggie pizza, we tried the Pulled Pork pizza on a whim, I’ve never had it before. I’m not sure I would order it again, but it was well done. Most important, this places seems to have made a significant step improvement in service. It was helpful to be sitting in the front room, away from the kitchen traffic in the back room. Our waitress was relatively new at this, but paid attention to our table, kept our drinks full, kept us informed about the status of our food and actively worked to ensure we were satisfied. The front room was being serviced by three different wait staff and the all seemed to be hustling. This is an enormous improvement over the last visit. We will be back. Might be a good place to watch the Saints, not sure if they have NFL ticket. The Double Deal is a good bargain, $ 30 of food for $ 15.

First off don’t go when it close to closing on a Sunday. That was my first mistake… next the bar back /busboy took my order and got me my drink… the bartender was inattentive the entire time i was there. The staff kept coming out from the back and talking loud about going to do karaōke when they got off… Very unprofessional… the food was blah. i ordered the shrimp pasta and got scrimp pasta and watered down tomato paste yummy. i admit, being in the business at one time, @ closing and getting the best service is a no no… I’m up to trying again but first i got to get that taste of disappointment out my system… I mean scrimps… really???

Oh how I don’t like being the lamb for the slaughter and lured into a place that has 4 and 5 star reviews only to get a 1 – 2 star experience! So let me give you the REAL lowdown on the Metry version of Pie Pizza and Pastas. First when you go to walk in(it is the old Chad’s American Bistro) you will be greeted by a crew of smoking waitresses right by the front door. Oh so Metry like and classay. Who doesn’t like inhaling a big cloud of second hand smoke before a meal eh? When you go inside you will have entered a dark former bistro lair that resembles NOTHING of a pizza and pasta type joint(or the warehouse district location). It’s just odd, you feel like you are in the wrong kind of place and almost want to back track but the«hostess» at her VERY formal hostess stand gives you the«look» and you realize you can’t back out now. They clearly kept every bit of dark décor, to include fancy black linen table clothes… I had to ask myself really? for a pizza and pasta place? Anyway it just is odd, the whole thing, enter(if you dare) and see for yourself. Oh and let’s not forget to mention the huge screen TVs everywhere playing SportsCenter, yeah because that’s SOOITALIAN! it was on the verge of being comical(if it was by accident). So we sit down and go over the menu and decide to try a pizza, the place is named Pie after all right? The pizzas have to be good right? WRONG! We ordered a Roma which had the thinnest possible slices of roma tomatoes you could probably ever cut, PAPERTHIN! A few sprinkles of chiffonade basil, and a few thin cuts of buffalo mozzarella which didn’t cover the whole pizza, there was 4(we counted) cloves of roasted garlic. It looked ok enough but the toppings were skimpy to say the least. On to the taste. oh how to describe it. bland, that word comes to mind. We added salt and that parm cheese on the table it was so bland and the crust honestly reminded me of a bad, old Aunt Annie’s pretzel that lacked rise time. Seriously those of you who know my reviews know that I don’t pull any punches, when something is bad its bad and I stay honest to my experiences. Have you ever heard the saying there is no such thing as a bad pizza? Well that is not true! Pie Pizza and Pastas in Metry has it. With Slice, Reginelli’s, Theo’s, and Pizza Delicious there is just no good reason to risk it on this place. I honestly felt nauseous after we ate and for several hours after, not a good sign. The waitstaff? attentive… OVERLY attentive, trying to get the best tip possible because there are no other customers attentive, check on you every 5 minutes attentive, ask you how your meal is RIGHT after you took a big bite of food attentive… you get my drift. While we were seated in the dining room a waitress so graciously opened the shutters to the bar area to allow the bar hounds to see directly into the dining room. Granted, we were alone in the dining room, but we got to hear(first hand) all the bar talk from«Norm» and his pals along with waitresses complaining about their schedules, so and so who«pissed them off», etc. It was lovely meal convo coupled with the loud blasting SportsCenter commentary in the background. The menu is all over the place apps that range from hummus to crawfish cakes, then soups and salads(basics), sandwiches(from cuban to crawfish bread), pastas, «lavish»(as they tout them) wraps that range from a chicken and bacon to pulled pork, calzones, pizzas, and a late night menu(10:30 — close). The menu equates to the odd dark dungeon décor, it all just doesn’t add up. So as you may be able to tell, I will not be back. For those of you who gave this joint 4 – 5 stars(for being open late or getting a coupon), well, please stop doing that! Now I just need to figure out which box I will check for«ambience» on this review.

The pizza crust had a great flavor in that it had just a smidgen of sweetness to the dough. Other than that, the pizza was a huge disappointment. First, a large is no longer a large. It was just a little bigger than a large dinner plate. Is it really so much to ask that on a $ 20ish pizza, I can have a reasonable amount of the toppings that are listed on the menu item? Are bell peppers so incredibly expensive that a large pizza is allotted only NINE two-inch long wafer-thin slices? Really? Seriously, there were less than ten pieces of each ingredient and four small dollops of ricotta(that I probably paid $ 2.50 for) — on a «large» pizza. No, I didn’t count all the ingredients, but suffice to say that the pizza looked like a barren desert. And, the kicker was that the center of the pizza was very undercooked. If I give them another chance, I’ll order the pizza well done or extra crispy. But, I probably wouldn’t order a pizza again unless management could assure me that I was not going to get screwed out of a reasonable amount of toppings. And, if that happens, I’ll update this review. On the other hand, everything about the shrimp pesto penne was PERFECT and I would definitely order that again… and again… and again.

This place was great! Good location right off of Veterans, very close to the Clearview and Lakeside malls. Menu was well varied, with a number of appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, and pastas. The Lobster Ravioli appetizer was to die for; be sure to ask for a few extra pieces of bread to soak up the left over sauce. The tomato-basil soup was delicious, and as another review here said, the cup is more like a bowl. We had the Pulled Pork and the Roma pizza, which offered a good contrast between the two pizza types. Very filling, and an awesome value. Make sure you try the dessert; the tiramisu is absolutely outstanding, and their cookie bowl is out of this world. Definitely one of the finest dining establishments for its value in Metairie.

I ended up here on their opening night at this location. When you walk in the door they give you a choice of dinning rooms. One room has tvs in it and the other room dont. Its nice that you can opt out of watching TV with your meal if you want something alittle more peaceful. My wife has the skinny wonder pizza. Which is small but prefect for her. She enjoyed it very much. I has the lasagna which was amazing. I stuffed it in my mouth like it was going out of style. Portions was prefect. I will definitely visit agian. On Thursday — Saturday they are open late. second trip… they earned my 5 star rating now. soup is amazing. you have to get it. also the cup is more like a bowl. i really like you get your moneys worth here. meatballs are very good. but i enjoys my lasagna more last time. prices are great… you have to visit

if you find yourself in metry and hungry late night thurs-sat you now how have another dining option. the menu is basically the same as their downtown location with a few added addition like the crawfish cakes, pulled pork wrap and a skinny wonder pizza which comes in at only 500 calories for those watching their waist line. this place is alot bigger with more tvs than their first location but with the same familiar faces. i love the couches by the bar perfect for when i had 1 too many. i look forward to hanging out here after work and hope you will join me.
