I am giving this restaurant 4 stars because the food is amazing to my surprise. The location makes you wonder but the food speaks for itself. I would have given it 5 stars if they were a little nicer there. I have been here a lot since it was next to my work and every time they are just not friendly or happy, whichever. The girls all have very ugly looks on their face when they look at you and seem to not want to help. It also doesn’t help that they don’t speak English. It is a challenge to order anything due to this and I feel like that could be the one reason they aren’t friendly. Thank goodness the food is amazing and the owner is very nice or I wouldn’t be back.

This is our new favorite! Excellent Honduran food! The beans are the best I’ve had in the GNO area! The meat platter for two was a feast with fried chicken, steak, and a pork chop. We’ll definitely come back!

Walked into this restaurant on a whim, and very glad I did! A very beautiful lady greeted me at the counter as soon as I walked in and told me she did not speak English, which was fine with me. I motioned to a table and was brought a great menu which I ordered from as she wrote down and and reviewed what I pointed at. In a very timely manner my food arrived. The food was excellent to say the least, home style cooking! I am very impressed to say the least. I will return very soon, I am glad I live nearby.

Stumbled upon this place last friday… Came in again Saturday. The food was good. First night I had one«baleada de chorizo con todo» and another«baleada de salchicha con todo» for about $ 7!(Enough for two – I was hungry) The next night I had carne asada, also good. Beef was exceptionally good. I gave it 4 stars but really deserves 3.5. The flour tortillas that wrapped the baleadas weren’t slightly chewy and I can that it came from refrigerated dough. It would break like store bought pita bread. Then the corn tortillas from Saturday weren’t evenly flattened and not fully cooked. Dispite all that, they get credit for being a step closer to perfection and are a step above 90% of latin restaurants that are mediocre enough to still be serving bagged, store bought, premade tortillas. Also … Like most Honduran restaurants, service is friendly but not the best and unprotocalled. Make sure when you walk in, grab a menu, sit down wherever you want. Once you know what you want wave the waitress and go «tsssh-tsssh-tssshhh… señorita» in a loud, noticeable but friendly manner. Smile if you must. Point at whatever you want and specify the item. The simpler your order, the better off you’ll be. A common mistake by proprietors of Honduran restaurants(this Included) is that the menu too vast. Whereas in Honduras, most of the best cuisines are specialty street vendors. Why do I know this? Aside from being born in Honduras, I’ve spent four straight years after Katrina living there. Anyways, try the place out. I think its fairly priced, clean, better than most I’ve tried.

Walked in, no one acknowledged me. They stared lol but didn’t say hi or anything. I asked for a menu, realized it wasn’t in English so I then asked nicely for an English Menu. The waitress stared at me with a confused look on her face, I again said«English Menu Please». Another worker jumped in front, grabbed the English menu and gave it to me. I went to grab a table and no lie, I Literally sat there for 15min before anyone came to take my order, ask if I wanted water NOTHING! Other people were eating & some even came after me but yet they were being helped except me. And when they finally did come over, the worker didn’t understand me. Which I totally get. But she just looked at me confused then pointing at things on the menu in hopes I would say«ok» to which ever one. She then just walked away. I was now confused and thought she maybe went to go get someone who did understand. Nope. I waited another 5min and she never came back. So I got up to leave, but a nice gentlemen who just got done eating there helped me. apologizing for them cause they couldn’t understand me. Which I understand. But they didn’t have to act like I wasn’t there and just not serve me. That’s plain rude & that’s how you lose customers. Because he was so nice and kept raving about how good the food is, I ended up getting something… plus I was really hungry lol. I mean this was like 25min later and thennnn I had to wait longer for my food. Ugh. I wanted so bad to just leave while I was waiting for my food. And get this, I ordered just basic chicken wings with a side of rice &ITWASDELICIOUS! Ain’t that something. This restaurant desperately needs English understanding workers. Like you don’t even have to speak English, just understand it. The basics at least. I wish I didn’t have to leave this review but for you non Honduran speaking Unilocalers, this is just a heads up. Hopefully they fix this problem cause I’m sure the rest of their food is amazing, but being ignored cause they don’t understand you isn’t very nice nor is it good customer service.
