terrible place. stink, dirty, bad smell from anywhere. horrible location, looks like a shelter for homeless. I saw the place and escaped right away to other hotel

The staff at this hotel are not people friendly. Seems to be run by family members during their pass. The hotel is advertised to be open twenty four hours;however, the lobby closes at 5 o’clock, laundry room 9 o’ clock and any services need from the front desk has to wait until the next morning. The puzzling part is that the family lives upstairs from the lobby. I was shocked.

It’s okay. It’s a place to stay until availability opens up at our first choice hotel. It smells weird and looks rundown, but everything is functional and that’s what matters. Was that a 12 year old who checked me in though?

Great price! Friendly staff. Anytime I needed something; they were right there to take care of me. Next to the Sonic, Budweiser Beer Co., and The Saints football summer camp field. Bed comfortable, great water pressure and shower head. Beautiful 25 meter pool goes to 8 ft deep. Flat screen TV, micro, and refrigerate. Free wifi. I will say this … it is an older hotel and needs some work done.

My stay at this hotel was good. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the French Quarter and that it guaranteed a refrigerator and microwave in the room and free wifi. The room was ok. The carpet wasn’t very clean. It was my abs and butt day during my stay. Planking and doing crunches on the carpet was kinda gross. I wasn’t sure where the refrigerator and microwave were because they’re not in any of the pictures, but I found them in the room next to the bathroom. The refrigerator was great! It was the size of one of the big dorm refrigerators. The bathroom was awesome! The pressure in the shower was way better than the water pressure I get at home! And the water stayed hot the whole time!(I take really long showers.) The bed was ok. The free breakfast was mediocre. They had Sunny D, regular milk, and coffee to drink. At least I could get some hot water for my tea. The actual breakfast only consisted of 4 cereals, make-your-own waffles, and white bread for toast. I don’t eat any of that… The wifi was also a bit laggy from my room. The guy wrote the password on my room card envelope, and they have like 4 different networks. But the ones with the strongest signal kept lagging in my room. The wifi was a lot better in the lobby. The pool was nice. It’s not heated, so beware of that. The neighborhood near the hotel is really nice with fancy-looking homes. But there’s a trailer park right next to the hotel, so it feels like you’re in a sketchy area. Lakeside mall is only a few miles away, and that turned out to be a really nice mall. This place was cheap, so I can’t really criticize it too much.

BED bugs! I stayed there just one night, coz it is cheap. But I got bitten by bed bugs horribly. Now I have 30 itchy red bumps on my body. It’s not worth it. Please stay in another hotel! And it looks like the hotel is surrounded by ghettos. not safe at all!

I went here in an emergency. My Visa had been blocked and I only had $ 59 in cash. I called a couple of hostels which were all fully booked and one of them ended up booking a room at this place for me. I found it slightly scary, but I survived. I had no bad experiences, but the elevator makes a loud weird noise and a sticker warning about human trafficking on the soap made my feel uneasy. Reviews from other places(than Unilocal) talk about bed bugs, but my room didn’t have any, so they might have gotten that under control. I paid $ 53 for a room with two queen beds, which is pretty cheap. Go here if you’re in an emergency, but you’re not, you should be able to find something better.(I think they’re slowly renovating the place, so be sure read the latest reviews)

After hours we checked in via a window which should have been the first sign. The hotel is quite run down and the only updated elements are the sink and tv. The carpet was not very clean and the room had a slightly unpleasant order. The ac was pretty loud. We were only able to stay one night and it was one too many, unfortunately
