I saw the reviews of the place and had to try it out. I wasn’t sure what to get so I was asked what do I like and she recommended theano go– go. It was fantastic! I big difference from smoothie king and glad they are here. I just hope they open one closer to me.

For those that have asked, the acai primo bowl has: acai, soymilk, bananas, blueberries, ice, and is topped with bananas, blueberries, coconut, granola, almonds and honey(or you can leave that off) it is SOGOOD! I crave it when I haven’t had it in a few days!

I was SO glad when Jamba finally made it to New Orleans a few years ago. So finding out that a new location was going up right down the street from my office made me more excited than I used to get at Christmastime as a kid. Better in every possible way than Smoothie King — fresher, simpler ingredients, nothing pre-frozen or artificial. Cheaper, generally, though not always cheap: the biggest size can run you close to seven bucks or even more if you get stuff like fresh wheatgrass or protein powder added to it.(Sign up for their rewards program, they’ll send you a ton of coupons/discounts/etc) More sustainable/transparent in their business practices. They have fresh juices that they squeeze in-house and even healthy breakfast/lunch options with flatbreads and oatmeal bowls. Just one thing — being serenaded with a rousing«TIPTIP! HOORAY!» every time I put a couple of bucks into the tip jar just makes me cringe. Why does this have to happen? I don’t even need a thank you, let alone a cheer. Jamba should rethink their policy on that one.
