OK so I rented here only because I needed a place to live and I needed it fast. I was only planning on being here for 6 months but it looks like i’ll be here longer.
First of all I find it a little pricey being that it is an apartment complex full of studio apartments. It is one room, one bathroom, and a very tiny kitchen. It is very cozy and I enjoy that part about it, but still, a little pricey in my opinion. Also, you are allowed 1 pet and must pay a $ 300 pet FEE. Not a deposit. You don’t get it back. Oh and on top of that they tack on 10 – 15 bucks extra every month for having a pet… they call it «Pet Rent.» So apparently my 8 pound cat has to pay rent too. Whatever.
The staff are very rude. I have called with a few things that needed to be fixed and they seriously acted like they did not care at all. I honestly think this may just be the norm for New Orleans/​Metairie though. I’m from Texas and Georgia and the people are generally much nicer in both of those places. Anyway.
The apartments do not have central a.c. and when I moved in my window unit was LITERALLY FALLING OFF THE WALL. Like I could see the outside from inside my apartment. I called to have it fixed and all the repairman did was lift it up a little bit. When I came home that day I checked it out and pushed on it just a tad and it fell back down to where it originally was. I had to call again for them to come fix it. SMH.
There is a washateria on site and it is 1.50 to wash and 1.50 to dry. Out of the four washers only two work, and out of the four dryers only three work. I have called the office to get them fixed but so far they have not been replaced or fixed.
Bottom line… go somewhere else!!!
