For the past several years my hair has been thinning. After hours of research I came across a news report that interviewed Glen Michael salon. The report stated that Glen Michael salon was using a rather new technology called the Evolve system( ). This was exactly what I was looking for. I went in for my consultation feeling both nervous and skeptical, however that did not last long. I was immediately offered refreshments(eg; wine, tea, coffee, water etc.). Then Kayla,(a trained Evolve System technician) and Glen(salon owner) took time to carefully explain the system and its process. They not only answered all of my questions and took away any nervousness I had, but they made me feel as if I was with a close knit family that truly cared about me and wanted to help me with my problem. I saw first hand many, many clients with the same problem as mine. Take it from me, you can NOT tell that they have the system. You can not tell that they have thinning hair. Each system is custom made with 100% human hair and is expertly matched to your existing hair. Mine is naturally curly. Kayla did a fantastic job blending my existing hair with the system and gave me a cut that complements me. I can not say enough about my wonderful experience at Glen Michael Salon. They are truly Top Notch. Weather you are searching for something a bit more specialized such as I was, or just a great hair cut. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the best hair or spa experience you will ever have and try Glen Michael Salon! You will feel at home when you walk through the door.

I have been getting my hair permed annually for over 6 years. My hair is very long. I tried several salons in the area when I moved back to the area and they usually acted as though my hair was an inconvenience or they clearly were not familiar with what they were doing. My experience with Glenn Michaels is completely different. Not only is Glenn well established for doing such work in his profession he makes it a personal interest to ensure it’s done perfect. I’ve been coming here for 3 years now. Not once have I ever been asked about my «perm». Instead just complimented on my natural curls. It is the best salon I have ever been to. I highly recommend.

I have had good results with Glenn and Bruce. Today they were both out and I saw Gina. This review is for her. I had a tough situation going in there. A hairdresser at a different salon had given me a short shag haircut and brown dye over my bleached hair. I repeat, this was a different salon: I was going for an edgy inverted bob but what I got was a nerdy 90’s mom hairdo. It really took a toll on my self-esteem. I didn’t even try to get it fixed because I didn’t think there was anything to work with. I was wrong. Gina at Glenn Michael not only fixed the problem haircut but gave me one of the best hairstyles I have had in my life! She listened to my needs. She got me back to a beautiful, flattering blonde color, being careful not to double-process my previously bleached strands.(She was trained in color on 5th Avenue NYC and it shows). The cut she gave me was the inverted bob I originally envisioned. I am especially amazed that she did all this while meeting my other challenge: keeping some length so I can grow it. In fact my hair now appears longer because of the stylish stacked cut she gave me. She did all this quickly and with ease. The price was just right too. Oh yeah, and when I got home and had to style it myself, ITSTILLLOOKSGREAT! I was kind of convinced that only male hairstylists really know how to give women the sexy cuts they want without judging their current appearance. Again Gina proved me wrong on that one. I will continue going to Glenn Michael Salon to see Gina, and I will never stray again!

I found Glenn Michael Salon via a groupon a while back that offered a reasonable color and cut deal. I was desperate to find a new salon/stylist after the last one moved to Chicago so I thought why not give it a shot? It was a great decision and I’ve been going there ever since! The best compliment I can give is that I have FORYEARS been trying to find the perfect hair color for me. I want it to be dark brown but not red or brassy and not black either. Bruce was very attentive as I told him what I was looking for and based on that information, he mixed my color. We only had to make one minor adjustment on my second visit and BAM! The perfect color! It’s exactly what I wanted, exactly what I asked for at 10 other salons and just could not get. It’s wonderful! I get endless compliments on my color and my cut(Carrie used to cut my hair but she recently moved so now I see Nicole who is also amazing!) every time I go and I love the friendly staff and the environment. I’m actually going next week for a haircut and I cannot wait! Love this place!

I was desperate for a Keratin treatment as I am going to the beach for Labor Day. My regular guy at PP is not allowed to do them at his salon anymore. I pass by Glenn Michael every day so I decided to give it a try. I called and asked if they did the express and how much it cost. Was told yes, it’s $ 130.00. Much more than the $ 75 I paid at PP, but again, I was desperate. I made an appt. with Glenn himself for 7pm tonight. The treatment was fine, although at times he pulled my hair quite a bit and it was painful. When he finished w/the Keratin, he grabbed his shears and was like, «a quick trim». I said, does it need it? My hair was just cut 2 weeks ago. And he started trimming away. The trim was literally 5 minutes, and it was already dry from the Keratin. He didn’t even touch my bangs. Of course he recommended some products, shampoo and conditioner and told me it was buy one and get the next half off. He put two large bottles at the front desk for me without asking. This guy is a pro at adding on to the final bill. I get up to the desk and there is one girl directing another who is ringing me up, she says«$ 55 for the cut»…um WHAT??? I said, $ 55 for the trim? In shock that he was charging me for that, when I didn’t ask for it and thought he was just doing it for free to get me back in his chair. If he had told me it was going to be $ 55 I would have said NO, thank you. The final bill was $ 275 w/the products and $ 217 without. No products, thank you. Not a good experience, at all.

I am only reviewing on my recent pedicure/manicure experience. The entrance area in the salon is a small boutique with overpriced merchandise. The sitting area has complimentary tea, coffee or water which is always nice. They also sell their hair products in this area too. The next room is sectioned off as the hair salon and then further back is the pedicure/manicure area(one pedi chair and one mani desk) and a massage room. The mani/pedi area almost feels like an afterthought. It was about as nice as any oriental nail shop in town. The nail polish selection had barely any spring colors even though it is late April. The hot towels came from a crock pot. I asked for french and she hand painted the white tips on which I felt was brave of her but unfortunately it came out uneven. It only lasted a few hours before some of the tips were chipping off. There were some gnats flying around that the worker said are attracted to the sugar scrubs they use. ugh Fluorescent lights beam down on you like you’re standing on the sun so not too relaxing of an atmosphere. While my toes were drying she cleaned out the tub with scrubbing bubbles which gave the area a nice chemical aroma. cost for my services: $ 75
