Go to this gas station and order the catfish poboy. Call me and thank me later. Get a half if you’re one person… have them cut it in half. It was soooo much food! The fish was crispy and seasoned well. The wheat bread was delicious for the sandwich for those trying to get away from the French bread. Go forth and save a couple carbs and calories. Order at the console, pay at the register, pick up your post boy all in under 5 minutes. Yumtastic!

I’ve been eating Danny and Clyde’s poboys my whole life. In fact, I don’t think I tried one anywhere else until after I was an adult and moved away. It probably sounds weird that you’d get good poboys at a gas station, but I get one every time I’m home and they never disappoint. Maybe not as overstuffed as they used to be, but still really good, cheap, and fast. My personal fave is the shrimp with lettuce, mayo and hot sauce, but you can build yours however you want it — fully dressed or pick and choose your ingredients. The roast beef is good too. I have to admit, their oyster poboy isn’t quite as good as Dimartini’s. They have a touch screen ordering system so you can build your sandwich and see all the ingredients available, which is helpful and really streamlines things when they’re slammed with customers. My Dad swears this is THEBEST Danny and Clyde’s location, and all the others are not as good. I don’t know if he’s right, but we always come to this one.

I have not been here in a long time since I live outside of New Orleans in Cali but their po’boys are unforgettable. I dined at many restaurants while visiting the city and the oyster po’boy at this gas station(of all places) was a highlight of my trip. The bread alone was better than some full meals that I’ve had. A local told me to always get my po’boys from here and that local has been on my Christmas list every since. On my next trip to NOLA, this Danny & Clyde’s will be my first stop!

Awesome cheap and quick poboys. They have a «do it yourself» order screen where you choose everything down to your toppings and condiments — GREAT way to do things. Other quick food places easily get orders wrong, misunderstand you, or just plain make it wrong. When you go to Danny & Clyde’s, they get your order RIGHT! It’s more than a convenience store, it’s a in the league of hole in the wall sandwhich shops that make you drool. I would compare it to Adams’ Street Grocery uptown or A&M mart on Lee in Baton Rouge. I still crave AM Mart from my college days, and when I do I go to Danny & Clyde’s. Occasionally I will even get one if their breakfast sandwiches. Early in the morning they have them prepped and sitting under a heat lamp wrapped in aluminum foil. They are great and super convenient. I almost wish they weren’t because I can’t really afford all those calories!

People not from New Orleans look at me funny when I say you can get a good poboy at a gas station. Danny & Clyde’s is that station. They have touch-screen kiosks where you place your order and get to completely customize things. I like to get a fried oyster poboy with lettuce, pickles, and cocktail sauce. Portions aren’t as big as they used to be, but they are tasty. And here’s the best part: open all night. That’s right, all night, for all your sandwich needs. And when you need a poboy at 3am, this is the place.

The small po-boys seem to get smaller every time I come here. It’s getting so that the only reason I’ll come here is that it’s the only po-boy shop open in the middle of the night.

Good poboys when they toast the bread. Specialties are the Ham, Shrimp and some of the best oysters in town. Oyster poboys are loaded with oysters.

Hot sausage poboy with lettuce, mayo and provolone. Yum! Cant beat their poboy prices either. Good customer service and you can watch them cook if you like :)

open 24 hours, there’s no bitchy person facing you taking your order… i’m sold! There’s a koisk in the front to have you place your order, wait a lilttle bit and out comes something wonderful. While you are waiting, feel free to put your gas or roam the convient store to get additional snacks. Gas I find is relatively cheap here also.

I still have deep love for the Danny & Clyde’s cheap and awesome shrimp po boys. Its really some of the best in the city. The shrimp arent huge but they are always over stuffed, I love the touch screen order system. I think it truly is faster than any cashier and it’s pretty much idiot proof(with pictures). Don’t forget the Crystal hot sauce packets

Automated kiosks for ordering… you know, I actually like this concept. My boyfriend has gone to Danny & Clyde’s(various locations) since he was a kid. This was my first time. He got shrimp, I got hot roast beef n gravy. We had 1 order ahead of us, but it seemed to take an exceptionally long time to get our Po Boys… oh well, he said it would be worth the wait. He claims his was excellent, mine alone would have warrantied 3 stars. It wasn’t even«hot» enough to melt the cheddar cheese. Otherwise, fresh bread, fresh toppings, and good flavor. I’ve had better, but this is a good easy to access location and is close to my work. Hopefully next time the service is a little faster — or maybe I’ll try to call and order ahead of time, if they allow this.

Seriously is delicious. I know its a counter top in a convenient store but seriously is delicious. If you are in a hurry or need take out… GO for this. Several locations and you can order in advance. Go for a Po boy, some Zapp’s, a Barq’s, and some FUNNELCAKEFRIES! Yes, funnel cake fries. Great comfort food, fast and cheap. Extra Nawlins of you too… they have a wide assortment of Hubig’s Pies and Crystal Hot Sauce to go. Red Beans and Rice as a side… ;))

Pretty good Po Boys. I drove directly from the airport to Danny & Clydes to pick up two sandwiches. However, I was shocked that they had a couple of automated kiosks for ordering. This really took away from the New Orleans ordering experience. Hot sausage was delicious and roast beef wasn’t bad either. Stop by if you’re looking to grab something on the run.

Danny & Clyde’s… oh how I love thee. You are always open. Your hot sausage poboy is delectable. I can afford a sandwich with the change I find under my car seat. The trashy group of people buying cigarettes, milk and lotto tickets at 3:00 am on a Tuesday always entertains. Your food has inevitably done permanent damage to my arteries. Thank you for always being there for me.

Oh Danny, Oh Clyde I love you both so much. I can always count on you to make me a great po-boy. I can always count on you to be fully stocked with my favorite Hubig’s Pies. I can even count on you to put gas in my car and a lotto ticket in my hand. Is there anything that you don’t do? Now you’ve gone and installed these handy little kiosks where you can order your food. You just make life easier and easier. You sure you don’t want to come back to Chicago with me? What’s that? Yeah you’re right. Chicago wouldn’t be able to handle all your charm and southern hospitality. I’ll just keep you to myself. No one ever has to know…
