Celebrating my birthday with my two daughter-in-laws and my two grandsons. I had the shrimp & scallop with mango salsa. It was really delicious. Atmosphere was great! Not our first time and won’t be our last.

This is the 4th time in as many months that I’ve dined at the Bonefish on Vets and had a horrible experience. I’ve NEVER seen such unfriendly and rude bartenders. This restaurant’s drinks are generally weak already so nastiness certainly doesn’t help.

Well, we came with a large group and the server explained that happy hour was almost over so we hurried and ordered right when we sat down. Another server brought water for the table with only 5 glasses. There were 8 of us at the table. We ordered and our apps came out and that was fine. After ordering dinner, salads came out sporadically and one person never got their salad. Dinners then also came out sporadically and the one who didnt get a salad got his after his dinner was at the table. Everyone ate their dinner as it was received so it wouldnt get cold. The time span from the first entrée to the last delivered was about 7 minutes. Dessert and coffee order was taken. Desserts came out sporadically befote the coffee was delivered, and the coffee finally came in dirty cups. As an apology gor yhe dirty coffee cups, they brought fresh coffee in clean cups and said that it was complimentary. Overall disappointed, especially since there was low volume in the restaurant(which seems warranted). Unfortunately, this was my first time coming here and I feel like returning, when i can get great service at other places, is unlikely.

This place doesn’t even deserve a 1 star, that’s how upset I am. Timing it for exactly 10 mins not a single server took our drink order much less even notice us sitting there after the hostess sat us down. Of course we got tired of waiting and mention it to the hostess on our way out and all she could say was«oh I’m sorry(with a tone of her not even caring).» Yea not even a 2nd chance will be given.

Mediocre, at best. I got the fish and chips and the batter was soggy and oily. The odd part was when the waiter asked me whether I wanted fries of greens as my side — fish and chips comes with chips i.e. fries so how is fries an option for a side? Definitely not worth the price, and definitely not going back.

The only dish I like is their bang bang shrimp. I don’t know maybe it’s just me but the food was just no good. Spaghetti squash Mehhhh, coconut pie was okay and the shrimp with pesto sauce was too salty. Tried the place several times but we won’t be coming back.

What a godsend to the area. I love the Bang-Bang Shrimp, but driving to Baton Rouge to get them was ehhhhhh a chore to say the least. But God-bless the child that has his own… now we do, how sweet!!! Happy hour specials in the bar area is a definite draw for me. You can get whole meals in this area & then also take advantage of the drink specials hello WIN-WIN situation & I’m loving it(that’s the Popeyes tagline… lol). High bars & linen napkins all to suit your fancy-schmancy needs. I have dined in the regular dining room, but my preference is the bar area for obvious reasons, the high bar tables right?! But in all seriousness, it seems to me the main dining room is occupied far less than the bar area. I love the ambience of the bar area, plus the service seems to be a bit quicker; maybe it’s my imagination, but that’s the sense. At any rate, the food here is also quite memorable. Lots of unique choices & then there are the staples as well. Something here for everyone. Ample parking in this shared parking lot. Normally, I find shared parking to be limited, oxymoron huh, sharing typically means more the merrier; but that’s not always the case. Parking on the side, front & rear of the restaurant affords plenty of room; I guess being on the end is a plus huh?!

Came here with my SO just to get the Bang Bang Shrimp. I also got the Kobe Burger. The shrimp were delicious. The sauce is amazing and you get a ton of shrimp. The burger was cooked medium rare, just how I ordered it. It had good flavor and a good amount of fries. The staff was also friendly. It only seemed slightly expensive for what we got. But very good nonetheless.

Bonefish is one of the few chains that I’ll go to. I LOVE their bang bang shrimp, especially on Wednesday nights when you can score an appetizer order for $ 6! On this visit, a friend and I decided on Bonefish since it was directly across the street from a funeral that we’d be attending. We figured we could get in and out pretty quickly. We were wrong. The atmosphere is chain like, and just fine. The service was stellar. We each got the grilled salmon southwestern type salad, and it was delicious. But I had to deduct a star because our lunch took over an hour. Over an hour for 2 people to have salads at 11:45 am. That’s just ridiculous. There was hardly anyone in there, and this is probably why. When you’re taking over an hour to move a table, you’re going to have trouble getting working folks in there for lunch.

Whatever you do — Get the Saucy Shrimp and Bang Bang Shrimp. I can not emphasize how amazingly tasty the Saucy shrimp is. Seriously — get it. And oh — did I forget to mention that you get the most delicious free bread ever?! Because they do! I don’t even like bread but I can’t seem to get enough of this one for some reason.

Had a great lunch experience here! Ordered the bang bang shrimp tacos and the fish tacos from the lunch menu. Both were really good and there was a lot of food for the price(around $ 11). We had an awesome waitress and great service. Dining area was fairly quiet and had nice ambiance. Will definitely be back!

Amazing grilled seafood! Very reasonable pricing. Service was also very good. Girlfriend got the grilled fish of the day. I got the fillet minion tacos. Both were delicious and very light on the stomach. Came with a free bread appiziter which had a freshly baked Italian bread with olive oil and pesto. The waiter mixed up my order and gave me a soup instead of salad. Ended up getting my salad and soup a free soup on top of it! Recommended if you want to try something outside the busy FQ that isn’t deep fried or boiled for a very good price.

This was my first time and I’m sure my pictures and reviews may change over time. The staff is very friendly and quick. Any customer enjoys efficient service. One thing about a business I appreciate is the fact that the staff have a broad knowledge of what the menu has to offer. For a first timer like me, that is what separates a good restaurant from a great restaurant. It is best to come with friends that have ventured here before and you will get the best of the best. The wall is stocked with wine, which is overwhelmingly impressive for any top-notch establishment. It gives the place class, and your behavior adjusts as soon as you walk in. Shrimp is my favorite seafood by far and this was the best shrimp dish I’ve ever tasted. The shrimp sits on a bed of lettuce and is drizzled with green onions. Shrimp heaven! The garlic whipped potatoes are from heaven but the spinach should’ve been baby spinach but good nonetheless. Great experience, great food, and very filling for your buck!

We were out in Metry shopping and needed some sustenance. After sitting in our car deliberating for 30 minutes [and consequently getting ha get as a result], this place won. We knew it was a chain, but wanted something sort of nice and had never given it a shot. The wait was about 20 minutes, which wasn’t bad at 7pm. I started with the«Authentic» lobster bisque. I’m not sure who designs these corporate menus, but you’d think by now that they would understand how off-putting the word«authentic» is in front of anything except a glass of tap water. That said, the bisque was decent. Excuse the chain restaurant comparison, but it definitely beat the tail off Red Lobster’s bisque. It was much less salty, nice chunks of lobster(rather than RL’s puréed version), and the presentation was nice. My dinner was the grilled shrimp and sea scallops with lemon butter sauce, which I was excited about. The cook on the shrimp was fantastic. The scallops had a nice sear, but were still a bit translucent inside and thus the texture was slightly off. For $ 23(I added the asparagus, which is apparently $ 4), I just didn’t enjoy it. It was all very bland. The garlic whipped mashed potatoes were whipped too long and had become sticky — and to top it off, service was very slow. She was very personable, but had far too many tables on her hands. I don’t think we’ll be back. For the price of around $ 60(two of us had 1 soup, 2 entrees with added sides, 2 soft drinks), we could’ve had a much better meal at Drago’s or Acme(both down the street) or any old mom & pop place in the vicinity.

I really wanted to like this place so much more! Unfortunately this review is only two stars based off of food. Service was fine, not exceptional, and not horrible, just… expected, I guess. Our conversation in the car on the way home indicated we probably won’t be back. Nothing blew us away enough to give them another try. For the first course we ordered their signature Bang Bang Shrimp, Edamame and Crab Cakes. Everything so far was great! Nice, big lumps of crab meat on the cakes, a suiting remoulade to accompany that, a healthy serving of Bang Bang Shrimp cooked perfectly atop a bed of crisp iceburg lettuce and a full bowl of Edamame with Green Tea salt for tasting. Things took a turn with the entrees. The children’s food came out first and the fried chicken fingers were raw. Rather than taking a chance with undercooked chicken again, fish fingers were ordered. I had ordered the shrimp benedict that promised hollandaise and shrimp. Everything was wrong with my order but I was hungry and didn’t want to be «that girl», so I just ate it anyways. My poached eggs were over medium, I was served a total of six shrimp(bit on the small side), my english muffins were not toasted and there was no hollandaise to be seen. There was the bang bang shrimp«sauce» but not exactly what I was expecting. My asparagus was overcooked, limp and slightly mushy. My boyfriend had ordered the surf and turf benedict and he too, was less than wowed. The menu also boasted a 19.99 brunch and endless mimosa special but when the bill came, I was charged 12.99 for the endless mimosas and individually charged for my food. Again, I didn’t say anything because 12.99 for endless mimosas was a good deal. Perhaps I should have asked to be clear for next time, but I don’t plan on going back. Sorry Bonefish Grill.

I’m obviously a fan because I come here a bunch. I mostly get the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer or tacos for take out. If you come on a Wednesday the Bang Bang Shrimp Appetizers are half off and you can make our own tacos at home: D Sometimes they give me bread with my order of tacos and other times they don’t — I really do not know the philosophy behind whether or not you get bread.

As much as I try to get away from chains, there is something about certain restaurants(Bonefish included) that keep calling me back to them. Before last night I had only been here twice, but I had good experiences both times. When my boyfriend and I first walked in, I almost wanted to walk out. It smelt like fish. I know that it is a fish restaurant, but it smelt really bad — like a fish market. We sat down and within a minute or two the smell went away or maybe it just stopped bothering me. As we waited for our dining companions(my boyfriend’s brother and his wife), I ordered a white sangria. I really enjoyed it. We also put in an order for bang bang shrimp. When the other couple arrived they ordered calamari, so that we could all split the appetizers. The bang bang shrimp were incredible! I know that seems to be their staple menu item, but it is for good reason. The calamari was pretty good but nothing special. For our meal, my boyfriend and I split the 6 oz sirloin and crab cake dinner. I thought it was fantastic! The steak was cooked perfectly — medium rare. It came with one side and the seasonal vegetable. The seasonal vegetable happened to be spaghetti squash which I love. We picked potatoes au gratin for our side and they were wonderfully cheesy. I would say that we had the perfect portions. Between the shrimp and calamari, the complimentary bread/oil, and the steak/crab cake dinner we were full but not uncomfortably full.

Bonefish Grill was exactly what I was looking for after a long day at work. I just wanted something refreshing and simple. I happened to go in on a Tuesday, where they have a special — 3 courses for $ 14.90, which includes a salad, entrée and dessert. Entrees come with 3 different tiers — a couple options which are part of the $ 14.90 meal, a couple for a couple dollars more and a couple for a few more dollars. Regardless of the choice it’s a great deal! I went with House Salad, Salmon with mango salsa, butternut squash and potatoes au gratin, and Key Lime Pie. It was more food than I needed for one meal, and it was satisfying nonetheless. I had considered picking up a take out order, but I’m glad that I sat down to enjoy my meal.

I love this spot for brunch. I’ve never eaten here for any other meal, although I’ve eaten at other locations and it’s good but not great. Their brunch deal is one of the best I’ve found in the metro area: $ 20 gets you any brunch entrée(normally around $ 10-$ 13) AND unlimited mimosas, bellinis, and blackberry sangria. They even let you switch up the drinks, which are all tasty, although I’m partial to the bellinis. The food is good as well. I’ve ordered the bang-bang shrimp Benedict as well as the surf and turf Benedict. Both were delicious, I recommend you ask for a side of their spicy hollandaise. I don’t even really like hollandaise but that stuff is really good. The bang-bang shrimp Benedict is their signature appetizer spicy shrimp with perfectly poached eggs on top of English muffins. The surf and turf Benedict had nice, tender pieces of filet with nice sized pieces of lobster-absolutely delicious! Their potatoes au gratin is also delicious and cheesy as well, although they could stand to cook the potatoes longer. Service is consistently on point. A lot of places with bottomless brunches take forever on drink refills and Bonefish keeps them coming. For brunch, this place is really good.

I went here with a friend who was really impressed with his experience so I gave it a try. The interior has an upscale and comfortable vibe but the tables are a bit close together. There was outdoor seating available which I am a fan of but it was really hot when I visited. I ordered the American Kobe beef burger, which comes with cheese and a fried egg on top. For my side I choose au gratin potatoes. I also had a blackberry sangria. They brought some bread with pesto dipping oil to the table while our order was being made, which was pretty good. When the food arrived my burger looked like it was going to be delicious because the brioche bun was beautiful and the presentation was excellent. From what I could see of the egg is also looked great and I was looking forward to cutting it in half and enjoying the slightly runny yolk because 1) that would be really delicious and 2) it seemed like that would be the point of a fried egg on a burger. As it turned out, the egg was overcooked and the yolk was completely cooked through. I have always know fried eggs to have a firm white and a soft slightly runny yolk. The beef was a dark grey color with some pink interior and tasted very plain, not very inspiring for ‘Kobe’ beef. I don’t think the meat had been seasoned at all, it was dry and there was no juiciness to be found. The tomato on top was not even a full slice and it was clearly haphazardly thrown on there with everything else. The au gratin potatoes were very inconsistent, about 1⁄3 soft, cheesy, and delicious and the other 2⁄3 crunchy and undercooked. The sangria had a good flavor and was perfect for sipping. My friend felt bad that I was disappointed with the food because he had recommended we go there and had vouched for the place. I don’t know if what happened to me is a common thing or not but I might give them another try I just would not order a burger here again or order the au gratin potatoes.
