Bodhisattva Tea Spa

I took my girlfriend here for our one year anniversary. we did a couples massage and spent some time in the sauna before the massage. It was my first time, but my girlfriend has had a bunch of massages in vegas spas etc. My first time and i absolutely loved it. I felt completely relaxed when the massage ended. We had Jamal and Yolanda. the service blew us away. If you want to pay for exotic environment thats fine but i like paying a product or service & this place delivers. We’re going back

This place is a true gem! It’s a friendly mom and pop shop. We went in for a couples massage. Hands down the best massage I’ve had EVER! The champagne and fresh strawberries were also a really nice touch. Can’t wait to go back!

I want to like this place but I have never been. The first time I showed up within their operational hours that are posted online, no one was there and there was no sign indicated why they weren’t open during their hours. A neighboring business owner said «sometimes they are there, sometimes they aren’t.»
Since then I have called multiple times to try and schedule an appointment to redeem my groupon. I always get the voicemail. They have called me back once, but unfortunately that phone call did not result in a visit because of extreme weather.
I just want someone from this place to get in touch with me to let me know what their hours are and whether I can drop in to use the sauna.

Staff was friendly and the place smelled amazing. Purchased a christmas present for the wife and will post about services later.

My Reiki session was amazing. Left feeling so much clarity and focus, not to mention warmth I always get from this place the minute I walk through the doors. A must visit for all they have to offer!

Go now! This place is literally heaven on Earth. I’ve been here a number of times: for classes, meditations and yoga. And of course, to purchase some of their divine loose teas.
I had no idea there were so many different varieties of teas! I’m thrilled to go in and sample some of these exotics flavors. Plus they’re always happy to brew a cup for you to try. They love converting a person to a tea lover!
This weekend, I had the pleasure of using their spa services. Firstly, I have been following their Facebook page for a while.
Occasionally, they’ll have these contests for their followers. Last month, they held a contest for a free Pinda Swedana session, and I won! In case, you don’t know what that is, «Pinda Swedana is a process by which the whole body is made to perspire. This is done by applying hot boluses containing various types of fresh plants and other herbal ingredients gently all over the body for 45 minutes. It is a swedana (fomentation) therapy commonly used for pain relief and reducing inflammation.»
I had also bought a Groupon several weeks ago so called them to make both appointments. Yolanda was very pleasant and friendly with my schedulings. She was still that way when I had to reschedule! (Seriously, love these people.)
And she ended up being my Pinda Swedana masseuse/​applier. It was an 30 min session where you lay on a table while she rubs these herb-​infused bags around your body. I loved it and thought it was very soothing. I could feel it circulating my juices and definitely felt like a new person when she was done. Plus all the smells were so nice, I was tempted to grab the bundles to taste the fresh rosemary, cloves and other ingredients she had in there. Yolanda said everything was food-​grade and was a good primer for my massage. I agreed and impatiently waited for that session to begin. (She suggested scheduling it for a different day to allow my body to adjust to the Pina Swedana treatment. The next day, I was happy I took her advice.)
Sunday finally arrived, and my body couldn’t be happier. It was aching from head to toe. So I sank into the comfy table to do my 90 min. massage.
The masseuse was AMAZING! She really took the time to find out where my aches were pooled and focused on those specific areas. She was on my shoulders for a good 30 mins. when the aches moved down my body and settled into my mid-​back. She rubbed and stretched that section out for a good 40 mins when the pain shifted lower. All the while, I was feeling the blood rushing back into those cramped super tight muscles.
When she was finally done with me, I felt so drained but relaxed. It was obvious my body really needed it. Immediately I felt the effects of keeping all that trapped toxins in my body. It kicked into detox mode, and I promised myself I would never let it get that bad again.
And with Bodhisattva Tea Spa around the corner from work, I will never have to again.

I got a fantastic facial from Yolonda. I was so pleased with it. It was so much better than a facial from Earthsavers that I had a few weeks before. She also did some reiki during the service. I will definitely be back soon and am glad to find a non-​chain spa. You may not see it when you first drive up, as they are not allowed to choose the signage.

Just had my first massage ever and enjoyed every second of it. Ty was amazing! My husband and I had a couples massage and it was the first for both of us. I love that they have tons of loose tea to sample and purchase, too. We will be back!

Great massage gem in Metairie /​New Orleans! The inside décor and ambiance is surprisingly done very well. The tea was very very good. Lots of interesting product to try. Highly recommend it for a unique, non-​chain massage experience. Three satisfied customers. Definitely give it a try.

Great holistic spa! The tea is awesome too (very fresh and many varieties). I have had multiple massages and a reiki. Really enjoyed the experience. I recommend checking it out for a deep tissue or a reiki session.

I followed my massage therapist, Ty, here to Bodhisattva Tea Spa. I have been going to Ty for a monthly massage for about two years now. Please note that I had a car accident two years ago and it messed up my back. So in addition to physical therapy, Ty’s monthly massages helped rehabilitate my back.
The owners of the Bodhisattva Tea Spa, Jerome and Yolanda are so welcoming and friendly! I posted pictures of the spa after taking a personal tour with Yolanda. It looks like I’ve found my spa joint! I had an hour long massage with Ty and it was wonderful as usual! The room is nice and dark with a comfortable temperature. I enjoy the soothing music. The spa is upstairs and located right across from lakeside mall next to the Capital One.
The tea spa has an array of loose teas to choose from and they have beautiful tea sets as well. I’m impressed that they have the mortar and pestle to grind your teas. They had a tea ceremony a few weeks back.
There are multiple rooms in the tea spa. There is an aesthetician room which helps when I need my brows and lip waxed! They also have a room with a dry sauna. In addition, they have a multi-​purpose room where they have yoga classes with a suggested donation from $ 5 – 10. They also have tai chi classes and do energy work. They also have hot teas brewed and ready to go.
