AT&T Device Support Center

This place was so helpful. I messed up some settings on my iPhone and thought I did everything I could. I called and spoke to someone who gave me excellent directions on how to get exactly to the store. When I got there Jayed greeted me and helped me with all my phone issues and some. She showed me some helpful tips to improve my phone battery. I was really thankful for her patience.

I was really disappointed with this place. My new HTC One phone has been having disconnection problems since I purchased it. The ATT store sent me over to the support center and said they’d take good care of me. There were no other customers when I entered the store yesterday around 11am. The short girl at the front desk greeted me with a straight face and very monotone «hello, welcome to AT&T, how I can help you?» I explained my problem and she didn’t understand. After explaining very slowly three times she asked me to remove the phone from my otter and took it in back. I could hear her trying to explain to someone in the back room my problem. She returned after a minute or so and said since it appeared to be working now that there was nothing she could do, although the phone was locked with my password and she hadn’t even asked me to unlock it. I explained I found a great AT & T forum online which discussed the problem and how it was a defect in the phone, AT&T would have to replace it. She then asked if I would unlock the phone which I did. She looked at it told me all she could do was give me a number for tier two support that I could call when I got home. I declined stating I had taken off work to get this problem fixed. She then went in the back, returned and said she could replace it with a refurbished phone but“it won’t be as good”. Again I declined and asked if she could call someone else to help me with the problem. She said «no» and again gave me two choices. take the number and call tech support myself or take a refurbished phone.
I tried to explain the problem yet again but she just didn’t get it. She stared at me with this somber face and said nothing.
Frustrated, I picked up my phone left the store and went to the Elmwood store where a friendly employee Luke apologized and promptly called the warranty company ordering me another phone.

I use Verizon, personally. However, my fiancé’s phone stopped working, and since I work in Metairie I decided to visit and have it fixed.
The employees were nice. They swapped out a battery, sent a new charger to our house, and said that should fix the problem. Unfortunately, it still doesn’t work. At all.
We’re going back tomorrow. Hopefully it will get resolved and I’ll post an update. I’ll leave this at 3 stars for now, since the staff was nice and helpful, but in the end, it was really a wasted trip since the phone still doesn’t work.

I really had a great experience at this center! Soon as I walked in the door the guy saying hi and talking to me asking about my day and other stuff and just having a good conversation. He helped me right on the spot with my phone. He couldn’t fix it so he gave me a replacement right on the spot without any fuss. Just so pleasant and friendly. Great customer service.
