I’ve always been stuck in the vintage era of the 50’s, when times were a blast if you wore a poodle skirt, or sang karaōke with your friends! The juke box is a fave of mine too. Well, Peggy Sue’s is the gate to most of that crazy fun, and with traditional 50’s style food too. I just loved how the scenery looked, with tons of scratch records on the wall,(of course) lots of booths and tables, designed to look like most diners, and big, bold colors that happen to stand out big time! We ordered the traditional chili dog with fries, the mouth-to-mouth watery cheese burger, with extra cheese, might I add. Topped with the best ice cream and cake for dessert. They were strawberry flavored and mostly my favorite part of any dinner. I thought the staff was attentive and hadn’t forgotten about us, though there was a full house when we got there. Although we are tourists at this point, we hope to be back!

Don’t waste your time or energy. How this place is still in business is beyond me. We waited 45 minutes for our food for our waitress to come over and tell us that the computers weren’t sending orders to the kitchen. Okay? Probably just another way she tells people she forgot to put their order in. Keep driving to either Saint George or Las Vegas for food. It’s north worth it. We ended up leaving without anything because it was such a waste.

Great old time dinner conveniently located off highway 15. Friendly waitress and nice portions. I really chowed down on the«Ragin’ Kashun» wrap. Waitress said that it was one of their most popular items.

We ate at the old Peggy Sue’s in Mesquite and at the one in California. We did not have a good experience at the new location The ambiance is lacking. This is supposed to be a 50’s diner, but there is no music playing and many of the posters on the wall are hardly 50’s– Bob Marley for example. The food was blah, except for my daughter’s waffle. She liked it and the shakes seemed to be very good. My dinner salad had a hair in it and what I suspect was dirt. My son had the car hop and the meat lacked flavor. My husband had a mushroom burger and coleslaw. The coleslaw was ok. My patty melt was overcooked and the side of cottage cheese was dry, dry. I’ve never had a patty melt with red onions before. Our server was good and took the salad off our bill and gave us a slice of cake to go.

Clean looking diner. Food is average. My kids liked it. The customer service is up and down. Waitress and chef were arguing about crispy bacon when we were there. Prices are fair, it beats getting smoked out at the casinos. I’d go back again, even the fighting is entertaining. I’m pretty sure it’ll make a turd.

We keep holding out hope this place will get better. First we get told we have to wait to get seated when there were at least 7 open tables that I counted. After we finally got sat we were told they didn’t have any high chairs because, even though it’s a family restaurant, they only had 2. I ordered the Shepards pie and my mother orders a French dip. My Shepards pie was hamburger in grease and oil with frozen peas and mashed potatoes thrown on town with shredded cheese. It was not good at all. Her French dip was edible but was over done meat with crispy pieces. The waitress noticed I didn’t eat my dinner and did offer to remake something else but at this point it was so long, and we had an infant who was cranky, I did not get anything else. When the waitress brought the bill she took off the Shepards pie but charged me $ 5 for a bowl of soup that I did not eat either that was supposed to go with the pie. Overall, this place has gone down hill, never staffed with more then one or two waitresses no matter how big the crowd. We gave them lots of chances and at this point will not go back there again. Was just one big disappointment after another. It would not be hard to make this place good again but for now it’s off our list for good. P.S the only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because I am just being generous and at least the books on the table and the tv helped entertain my little boy while we waited.

We were passing through on a road trip and absolutely starving. I wanted some real food and this hit the spot! The front counter service was a little slow, but the wait staff were on point and the food delicious. I got a chicken avocado sandwich with extra avocado and English chips, which are these awesome little tater-tot sort of things — highly recommend! It was delicious and hit the spot. Crispy toasted bread and creamy avocado. My mom got their philly steak — we are from Philadelphia and she likes to taste test them. Her verdict? Too fancy to be a cheesesteak but really good. Great meat, peppers and onions, and a puzzling but delicious sauce on a crunchy toasted roll. I wish we had room for dessert!

Classic cornball fake 50s diner in Whitebread, USA. Srsly, every single person in there was white, and most of them were over 50! Food was great, portions were good, service was friendly and fast and the atmo was cheesy-fun. Everything was clean as a whistle! Not in a casino, and not a chain. I would probably come here again!

I love the food but service can be really poor !!! Full house with only one server. I love there food and they have great customer service but are always short handed and take way to long to take your order.

Friendly service and typical diner food. Everything was decent and cooked right. Portions were pretty substantial. We were told the food is from the Oasis Hotel. We had the country fried steak, wings and pancakes. This would make a great stop if you were passing through Mesquite.

Lovely place to stop at off the Interstate. Large and varied menu. Everything we had was delicious and tasted homemade. The service was prompt and friendly. Definitely a better choice than the chains in the area. Large selection of pies available as well

My girlfriend and I have stopped by Peggy Sue’s several times during our travels. In addition to the food being excellent, we have always enjoyed friendly and efficient service. Moreover, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the nice sizable portions. What more could one want from a 50’s diner with cool atmosphere?

Peggy Sue’s is a perfect quick stop. The food is good and fresh and the kitchen willingly modified the dishes for vegetarians.

Just passing by. It’s perfect for skipping the fast food joint and eating a hot plate of real food. Got breakfast for lunch and really enjoyed holly veggie breakfast plate. Will definitely stop by next road trip!

Gave it 5 stars because it was exactly what I expected. Food service chicken fried steak, homemade ranch, and greasy gravy made from drippings. If you come here expecting anything else, you will be disappointed. It is a DINER for goodness sakes… Don’t cry because you expected 4star food. I happen to occasionally crave food service CFS and greasy gravy. This place did not disappoint. The place is clean and service is quick, knowledgeable, and friendly. OH! The English fries are really good. My husband and I have eaten at little greasy spoons all over the U.S. And have never run into these little nuggets of joy. Try them!

Not as bad as we thought it would be, quick service, okay food, but overall a nice stop for a bite and rest while driving through the long desert.
