If you want an affordable family stay, La Quinta is a great place to stay in Mesquite, TX. It is not the newest place but they have remodeled the whole place. The suites are not the biggest but comfortable enough. Their breakfast is good with the exception of the old bananas. The location however is perfect, you have everything at a walking distance, Wal-Mart, Dennys, Taco Cabana, the movies, an a gas station all around. Staff is alright, not friendly but not rude which is ok. WiFi is good :) so it is a nice place all around.

Two stars because they are doing MAJOR renovations to the lobby and all the floors. If I would have known this I would have stayed somewhere else.
Other than that, the TV didn’t work, the guests were noisy, the shower wouldn’t drain, the towels were thin and cheap and the coffee was undrinkable.
On the plus side, they did have breakfast burritos on the breakfast bar.

Zero Stars!!! Long time LaQuinta rewards elite member finally getting my free night stay, and find this hotel with poor room accommodations and a roach in the room. Never again!

The positive: Friendly staff, fantastic breakfast, quiet
The negative: Mold on bathroom ceiling and shower curtain, musty, damp room
For $ 99 I expect better. I won’t stay here again.

Very clean bed and has DirecTV with Showtime. Perfect spot to watch a movie and go to bed. Great price, too.
