I like the food a lot but I gave 3 stars because they told me they cant do reservations because they get busy weekends. THATS the whole point of reserving!

$ 10.99 is a little steep for a lunch buffet. Especially for an 11 year old. Food was hard and looked like it had sat there awhile.

I love this place! Buffets are getting costly(about $ 11/person for dinner without drinks), but this one has everything on their dinner buffet, steak, steak, steak, some shrimp, crab, salmon, roast, and frog legs! I don’t eat anything that was once a pet or related to one, so no frog legs for me, thank you! I did have this excellent creamy pineapple shrimp that just melted as you(engulfed it? Well, yes, but I’ll use) ate it. They had a Garlic Shrimp that had some spice to it. I went back for seconds on that and the pineapple shrimp. Their beef dishes were really tired tasty too. And of course with steak I have to have sauteed mushrooms. A bowl of them. Oh, and don’t forget the soups, Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Shrimp, Steamed Wontons, or Crab Rangoon! The rice and lo mein had good flavors.
My husband had an Oriental beer and I drank water. I think the deserts are warehoused, but the Coconut Macaroons were crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. Warehoused or not, they were good. Being buffet you don’t have anyone serving your food, but the server for our drinks was nice and checked with us frequently. They have a Hibachi Grill and Sushi. I’m allergic to seaweed, so I didn’t have any, but my husband(Chip) said it was«pretty bland» which surprises me with the great flavors they can produce. I guess it matches the ambience. If you’re ever in Mesquite and wondering what sounds good, go try Kings Super Buffet. You’ll be glad you did!

So I have been going to this buffet for 5 years about 10 times a year and the last three times I have been there have been the biggest disappointments. The food stays at room temperature, the floors have been filled with food debris, and the frequency of bringing out food is depressing. One incident I had taken some coworkers there and there was a long piece of hair in his food. Another incident there was a roach in the bathroom which was ridiculously dirty. We expressed to the manager both times and she said she would take care of it. In the last time I went there to eat dinner, I was on my third plate of food and a male manager approached me and told me I am only allowed 3 plates of seafood and they would charge me 19.99 instead of the 10.99. Excuse me I said is this not a buffet? Nevertheless, I lost my appetite and was so furious I became disgusted and paid for my meal gave the waitress 5 dollars and left. I will never eat there again and I will be sure to let everyone know. If Chinese food is what you want go to Asian Buffet by Baby’s R Us on town east or Ocean Buffet in the area. I will also be notifying the Health a Department!

I have always been happy with the service and selection that King Buffet has to offer! Sometimes you have to wait for fresh food on the buffet, but it doesn’t bother me, you just know that it’s a popular item and that it’s always being prepared and cooked hot and fresh!

The only Chinese buffet that I can actually sit down and eat! The things which keep me coming back to this place are: 1/their food is warm and fresh.(Some still have that re-cooked taste) 2/the service is good. They are fast and police. 3/their seats and tables are comfy and new. That’s all!

For a buffet this was great. They had a lot of really fresh foods available including rice noodles which are gluten free. They also have a Mongolian BBQ in the back. You just choose what you want and they cook it for you. I really liked this place and we will go back.

OK. I’m grading this on a curve since I’m in Texas. Compared to others that I’ve reviewed such as Minado or Nori Nori, this pales. But for the area, it probably is quite good. The Egg Rolls were definitely frozen and microwaved. The cold shrimp were good. Very bland, but not bad. The crab legs were few and very overcooked. Some of the other dishes were well prepared. The did have a Mongolian grill, but I didn’t see anyone using it. They also had sushi, but I didn’t try it. Their spare ribs were not that good. The service was OK. They tried to stay ahead of at least 2 plates worth of scrap. My table was right behind the folks putting the silverware into the napkins — - all done by hand– I mean without gloves putting their fingers all over your silverware prior to going into the napkin. I’m not so sure the hygiene here is top rated. My advice would be if your interest is in shrimp or crab— go to Hooters. If you like AYCE food, not so bad here.

My absolute favorite chinese buffet… I eat here at least once every two weeks, the staff is great, and never really a wait. I don’t eat sushi, or crab legs, so can’t give any feed back but the basic buffet is always fresh and stocked! The Mongolian bar is great to, and they cook to order… The best way to end my meal is with the cheesecake ice cream! Yum!

I won’t eat there again. The Oysters tasted weird and not fresh, the food was cold. They only put out small amounts of crab legs so you actually have to wait & hope you get some, not worth the $. The ladies bathroom stunk so bad it mad me gag(smelled like sewer), I couldn’t even finish the food I did prepare. This use to be a great place to eat, not so much anymore. It may be ok if you get there the moment they put FRESH food out. Think I will pass on this one. Makes you wonder if the bathrooms are that nasty what does the kitchen area look like!

Very average food that is cold or room temperature. Decent environment but the price for subpar food is insane! $ 28 for two Buffett plates and two drinks?! No way, never again. Spend your money elsewhere.

Ewwwww! Never again!!! We could get out of there fast enough. Service was not friendly. Sweet tea was bitter and not sweet. Food was either over cooked or didn’t look edible. Disgusting!!!

As far as Chinese buffets go… this place is damn good. The rice noodles(very thin, clear noodles) were AMAZING. There is a huge variety including frog legs, crab legs & other seafood. They have sushi & a Mongolian grill too. Service was fast & friendly. The restaurant is really big so I doubt you’d ever have to wait for a table.

This is probably my 50th visit here. The food’s great, prices are decent. My only complaint is that this is the worst Chinese seafood buffet for crab leg availability. They bring out 5 legs at a time and not less than 15mins.

First of all, its a buffet. Use your judgement. If you dont like buffet food, go somewhere else. I wasnt really even in the mood for chinese food that day, but they did a great job. They had a nice variety(though there could have been more vegetables). I really enjoyed the egg rolls, frog legs, and crab claws. The sushi was also good, and the mongolian dishes were a nice touch. The thing that really impressed me was the dessert area. They had all sorts of stuff I normally dont see. I will say though, whatever they use for cream cheese was awful. The cheesecake they had was not fresh and I gagged on the flavor. The variety of ice cream they had was good, especially the coffee ice cream. Overall, I cant complain with what I had, though I would be weary of their cream cheese.

I don’t know what’s wrong with these reviewers, honestly. I lived in mesquite for two years, just recently moved to the west Plano area… when I tell you that I consider making a trip to mesquite SOLELY to go to this Chinese buffet — does that tell you anything??? I can’t find a decent Chinese buffet to even slightly compare to this one in all of north Dallas, seriously. The food variety is awesome — ALL the traditional entrees, some house specials, sushi, Mongolian, and most importantly — CRABLEGS!!! The crab alone more than makes your money worth it, but add some bomb sesame chicken & beef & broccoli & I’m in heaven. Sad that I can’t find any thing like this close to home anymore, but will not regret the drive next time I get a Chinese craving.
