Real best Italian food in town, IMO. I know there will be always someone better around the Dallas area but this one, Joes, especially the Tripp Rd location is the best in Mesquite, Sunnyvale, Balch Springs, Forney area. The pizzas are bigger than franchise pizzas, sometimes better than franchise pizzas depending on what time u get it. There was this incident when I called for a supreme pizza carryout and the line was bad, the lady thought I said pepperoni. Got there told her I ordered a supreme, she made one, gave them both for free just coz I had to wait for 14 minutes. The pizzas were both great, not perfect, but great.

My family has been eating here since I was a little girl. We even have family get-togetherness here. Some times the staff is slow but they make up for it with their food. I always get the penne arrabbiata, it’s my favorite, but their pizza, spaghetti and calzones are equally amazing.

Just wasnt impressed. I ordered 2 slices and only ate half of the first slice. Not nasty, but not good. Nice staff though

Love this place! They offer huge slices of pizza and it’s the best in town(mesquite) imo. I also love the fresh soft rolls they bring out I come here with my family at least once or twice a month. I will definitely recommend to my friends and family.

I love this place. For lunch today, I had the lunch chicken Verona with fettuccine. It comes with rolls and a salad also. The white cream sauce tastes delicious, but it is soupy. It seemed a little watery, but it tastes divine. It doesn’t taste watery. Chicken Verona includes spinach and artichokes, and there was plenty of both, and lots of chicken. I put 5 stars for taste and service. Nice, quick, tasty lunch.

Pizza was just ok. The slices are big and generous toppings, though they are sloppily heaped in the middle so no matter what you order the crust half is just a cheese pizza…

Out and about at a nearby park, I stumbled upon a place I had heard about before. My initial reaction was to try it. I did a little research online before walking in and knew what I was getting. Let me start by saying the slices are large, definitely nothing you find at the chain places. The toppings had mixed appeal. The Food A) 16 inch Pepperoni Pizza: There was a little less pepperoni than I would have liked. It was spread out, with a few patches of two or three. Chain pizza places have a better pepperoni to pizza ratio.(3⁄5) B) 16 inch Pepperoni with Jalapeño Pizza: Ditto, and similar scenario with the jalapeños. The taste, and texture, led me to believe they either forgot to add the jalapeños, realized their mistake, and added them halfway through cooking(Less Likely, but I’m hoping for.) or they got a premade pizza that had been sitting out for more than 15 minutes, recooked it with the added ingredients.(More likely)(2⁄5) C) 16 inch Meat Lovers Pizza: Very generous with the toppings, absolutely delicious.(5⁄5) With the exception of one, the dough was great and the cheese actually tasted like fresh cheese.(5⁄5) The Service The service was great. Friendly, and fast. I stepped out and came back sooner than the time I was given, and one of the works didn’t hesitate to let me know it was ready.(5⁄5) The Location It’s well kept, it’s not fine dining by any degree. The lighting was a bit dim, mostly artificial. They have Pizza on Display and a simple menu board. There are chairs available for waiting.(4⁄5) The Verdict Overall, I was more satisfied than disappointed. The combination of service, price, and food received is enough to merit a 4⁄5 score in the category of fast food pizza. I will definitely be returning to try the other offerings.

Food: 2⁄5 –The crust was a bit soft and limp! –The pepperoni was a very salty and oily, as expected –The slices were fairly large, bigger than your chain competitors –The portions of protein were also very, very generous –The pizza is not much to brag about. Pretty standard

Remember when this place used to be Taco Bell? Man… those were the days. Joe’s pizza is the little brother to the big Joes by Hobby Lobby up Galloway. The food here is OK, what I would consinder to be totally average. A plus is that the cost is cheap… but a minus was that the pizza slices were pre cooked and reheated. My wife and I caught dinner here after a nice evening at City Lake Park. Not bad, not great. Just joes.

Wow! What a pleasant surpise Joe’s Pizza & Pasta was for us on a recent trip to the Mesquite area! Joe’s looks as if it is in a renovated fast food joint. When you walk in, there is a front counter where you make your food order. This all looks very mundane and fast food-ish. But, the dining room was very comfortable. It was very pleasantly decorated and furnished, and the tables even had tablecloths. Once you have ordered your food, the waitress(very cute) takes care of you for the remainder of your meal. The food was very good and very cheap — my kind of place! I had spaghetti with marinara and Italian sausage. My honey had the pasta arriabata, and my oldest kid had the baked lasagna. Everything was well made and delicious. Each dish came with a salad and bread as well. The house dressing, a tomato based vinaigrette, was pitch perfect. The bread was garlicky, soft and warm. We couldn’t ask for better from a local pizza & pasta joint and all for about thirty bucks! One note — this is a BYOB place. This is great if you are prepared for it — not so great if you are not. Please, please, please someone open a place like this in the Jackson, MS area! We have five hundred mediocre Mexican’t and Hibachi places that seem to spring up overnight, but not a single local pizza & pasta place. If I knew anything about the restaurant business, I would do it myself just so I could have someplace to eat.

This place definitely has the best pizza in town(in Mesquite atleast). I come here often and I have never once had a bad experience with their service or the quality of their food. They have very affordable pizza that tastes fresh and always served hot.

BYOB, nice new little place. The salad was fresh, the pizza traditional New York style. The bread is pretty good with real butter, unlike elsewhere. You get a salad with your entrée. My favorite is the vodka pasta with added chicken is so very good in flavor and price. The service has always been very good, with talkative when you want, courteous waiter/waitresses. Local restaurant catering to the needs of the hungry!

Worst food ever! Must have been bought out! The salad was brown iceberg lettuce with 2 half slices of tomato and one ring of purple onion! It’s was same on all salads. The food I bet was bought at SAMs Club and heated up to serve. Don’t recommend you go there!!!

I felt $ 12 for a 12 inch white plain cheese was a little pricey, but the pizza is Delish if it’s very fresh and delicious crust. I will be going back again.

Stumbled upon this place while taking my niece to school. Moved to Dallas a few months back and I’ve picked up so many pizzas for family I can’t even count. I drive the extra time because I REFUSE to eat Dominos or Pizza Hut. They are always super nice, even when I request them to double cut.

Whenever a family meeting is called I know that Joe’s pizza will be involved lol If my father in law ever has to talk to us about something important or if some kind of solution has to be made, we always meet and on the table will be 2XXL pizzas from Joe’s. My hubby says the pizza isn’t a favorite for him but won’t give me a good reason so screw it! This is my review anyway and since I gave 5 stars, you know that I heart this stuff! The pizza appeals to me because of the extreme size and taste(of course). The pizza is new York style so it is very thin and long so I get that SOME people may be into something… Heartier? See that’s the thing though! This pizza IS hearty so just give it a try because you may be pleasantly surprised.

Having a craving for Italian food for lunch yesterday, we headed to Joe’s Pizza Pasta… Joe’s is located in a building which was formerly a Taco Bell a long while back… Walking in, I noticed the neat, clean appearance and a friendly greeting. Looking up, a precise, clear menu is posted overhead… great! Being my first time at this establishment, I asked for a ‘paper menu’…everything from Focaccia to Veal Parmigiana were on the menu… the prices were attractive… I ordered lasagna and it was quite delicious and the portion was just right… I shared the rest with my hubby who can take one breath and clear a table. :) He had a Manicotti, he loved it… The girls had kid sized Spaghetti with Marinara sauce… they loved it and finished their food; what a nice surprise! The atmosphere is pretty too the point, it’s a cozy or rather small dining area, that’s not a bad thing, but, if you’re looking to having your company lunch there, that may not work that well. There are two televisions, the temperature is comfortable and the tables are well situated and suitable… I didn’t ask about the bathrooms, but, I have no idea where they could have been since this restaurant is so tiny. Either way, we had a nice lunch and the service is very good, friendly staff! I’d go again!
