HandsOn Therapy School of Massage & Spa

Hands On Therapy is a massage therapy school that also offers spa services to the public. You have your choice of interns at a reduced cost or licensed therapists for a slightly higher rate. Either way, their prices can’t be beat. I scheduled a deep tissue massage, which cost $ 65 for a 50 minute session. For a deep tissue massage, I could only pick a licensed therapist, which was fine. Don’t expect an overly fancy spa, but it’s not so much about the décor as it is about the quality of the services.
Before the massage, my therapist asked me if there were any problem areas that I wanted her to focus on. At the time, I had been suffering through many weeks of p90x training, so I told her my right shoulder was killing me. Although she massaged my entire body, she spent a good amount of time on my right shoulder and a knot she found in my right side. I definitely appreciated that.
I had included a tip while paying for the massage in advance, but after the massage, I decided to add an additional tip since my therapist did such a wonderful job. I felt so loose and relaxed; I loved it! It was definitely worth it.
If you go to their website, you can sign up for their mailing list where they send you information about discounts and specials. In the first e-​mail, they include a coupon for 10% off your first service. I have also received e-​mails about massage specials for as low as $ 25, but they’re usually one-​day specials. You can also schedule appointments online, and they will call you in advance to remind you of your appointment day and time.
The staff here is great. They are so nice, and they worked with me when I had a scheduling issue. Excellent customer service! I definitely prefer this place to any massage chain or overpriced spa. I have not taken advantage of their other spa services, which include facials, scrubs, and wraps, but it is something I will consider. I look forward to coming back!
