Driving by this place looks pretty unimpressive. When when we walked in on a Monday at lunch time there were only 2 full tables of customers. The wait for our freshly cooked burgers was long. We were beginning to lose hope!
WOW, these burgers were fresh and delicious! The fresh cut fries were cooked just right and they were delicious. We will definitely come here again. Just plain good food!

Came in at 10:35 on a Friday not knowing they closed at 10:30 and still received a warm welcome! Ordered a jalapeño and mushroom burger with cut fries and talk about juicy and delicious! I couldn’t care less about the stuff all on my face because I could not put the burger down! Friendly staff held a great conversation and even told us to have a great day tomorrow regarding the birthday party we had mentioned that we had planned. Clean place too, will definitely be coming back! Left happy and stuffed ;)

Great burgers! Love the fresh, fluffy buns too. Slow service though, even when they’re not busy. We avoid Elvis night.

Been going here for years. They make the buns in house which really makes the burger. Yes it takes a little while to get your order, but I believe that is called making your food to order… go to McDonald’s if you don’t want that.

This is absolutely positively the best burger I have ever eaten! I have been to most of the featured places in the Dallas area including those that have made it to the big screen and I always come back and say wow. My mom and I are always on a quest for some place to top it and it just hasn’t happened. They have the best hickory sauce ever, very friendly atmosphere and they put their young uns to work in the restaurant… I love it… I know everyone has different opinions but seriously you have to try this place if you love burgers! The half pound hickory bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions can’t be beat… Oh and the fresh cut fries are a must.

Never had a bad meal here. I love the burger buns. Very juicy beef, great flavor! Always fast service, and the friends at never greasy. The onion rings are awesome, every order I have got has been huge. Definitely one of my favorite Mesquite spots to check out when I visit.

The absolute best homemade buns. The burgers are very good. You will need lots of napkins while enjoying your burger.

Good burgers I’ve not had a bad meal. Owners are very friendly. They have Elvis a few times per month to come in and sing. He is not to bad. Try it out you might like it I do.

Don’t take the 3 stars as bad. Just kind of good but, not mind blowing.
Burger was just and good size. Bun was tastey. A little light on bacon with just 2 slices.
Fried pickles were meh frozen batter dipped.
Onion rings were ok tasted like panko breading the onion tasted like basic yellow onion I prefer batter dipped Vadalia onion rings.
The staff is friendly and courteous. Prices are fair.
When I’m in Mesquite I’ll come back for the burgers.

Checked this place out as it is close to home. Overall, not really impressive. Restaurant was clean but there was a faint smell of sewage in the air. Girl at the counter was nice enough but owner never acknowledged us. There was 1 other couple finishing up when we got there. Still took 18 minutes to get our food. Burger is OK… fries were the best part. Dr. Pepper was flat… probably will not be back. Totally uninspired. :(

Talk about GOOOD BURGERS! This little restaurant has some of the best tasting burgers EVER! And quite a diverse array of options! The price isn’t bad and they keep the place very clean and well maintained. I highly recommend them. The reason for 4 stars is only because the staff could be a tiny bit more outgoing (it’s kinda like next please). I’m not saying they are rude, just not super friendly. The burgers are worth it! Check them out and just get it to go. LOL

Because my wife has the culinary palette of an Alzheimer’s patient in assisted living, she insisted we eat here again.
Red flag #1: its 8pm on Sat night and there is only one other couple in here. During our hour long visit only one other person came in to pick up a call in order. Theres no HS football or other event locally to siphon people away. Its empty on Sat night (the busiest night of the week for any food service business) for a reason.
Red flag #2: as i stated before the food isnt horrible, but its not great. Esp when they charge the same amount as an award winning place like Maple and Motor that IS excellent. That being said the USUAL trade off for excellency is speed. This place is SLOW… If i wait 30+ minutes for fast food it better be because its so dang good tweakers are giving up dope to get some of this for a fix, AND the line is out the door. This place is doing NEITHER.
Red flag #3: in the food service industry, you have two things to sell — Food and service. Everyone that walks through the door can probably cook their own food at home, so at least 50% of the reason they come in is for service/​the experience. There is no «experience» here to sell (unique theme, unique product/​presentation, etc). So the service should be extra stellar, esp when the place isnt busy. Instead the counter girl acts like she cant get off work fast enough. Our food was just kinda flopped on the table, etc. i felt like we were interrupting something better going on in the back like an illegal gambling operation or massage parlor.
Red flag #4: when my onion rings came out (mind you thats a $ 3 upcharge), there was 6. Not a big deal if thats how they always portion them, except half of them were the TINY onion rings. When I questioned the size of the order for the price, the response was «we gave you 6, thats an order». I said fine if thats your policy. 5 min later the counter girl came over and said «the mgr will give you 3 more if you want». Now im not complaining that they gave me extra but it was NOT a genuine «we care about our custs and want to do whats right to make them happy» resolution. 15 min later, 3 sad little rings were flopped on the table with not even a word said.
When a manager is more concerned about 30 cents worth of product and rationing portions so strictly that they count even the missized piece as a whole, than making sure customers WANT to come back, its a HUGE red flag that the place is struggling financially and prob hanging by a thread week to week. Not to mention they nickel and dime for everything here. I can understand bacon and guac, but 65 cents for a to go cup when I just shelled out $ 10-​$ 15 a person for dinner so i can take one cup of soda with me is ridiculous. A 24oz cup, straw and the soda and ice to fill it is maybe 15 cents at their cost. And I already paid $ 2 for the drink in their reusable glass that stays there.
In summary — over a year later nothing has changed for the better.

This place just has chronic problems. When we first started going there the food was better than average and we never had any issues. The last couple of years they ALWAYS seem to be out of something. Once they were out of tater tots. OK, so we switched to onion rings. The next visit they were out of both tots and onion rings. We laid off for a few months hoping they would sort their problems out. Our first visit back they were out of tots again. We wait a few more weeks and try again then last night we visit and they were out of both cheddar and American cheese. I’m thinking we won’t be seeing them again. VERY poor management.

I have been here many times. The ½ pound burgers are delicious as are the fries. Friendly staff is nice too. Buns are alway fresh. Highly recommend them.

Definitely one of the better burgers you can get around mesquite. They aren’t open very late and sometimes they are closed when I’d expect them to be open but if you go for lunch you should always be fine.
The bun is off the chain, the veggies and beef are pretty good but it’s not the best meat I’ve had burger wise. Fries were definitely good and the atmosphere is nice. Took a little longer than I expected to get our food but I wasn’t in a hurry so no big deal.
I actually prefer this to scrumptious burger across the street.

I would like to give it a rating of 3 ½. It’s above the average burger you can get around the area, but definitely nothing spectacular. I would return simply, because of its location.
All I’m all, it’s a decent burger place that is better than the places in the area. I’d rather have Simply Burger though…

Best chicken mushroom swiss sandwhich in the area. Staff is always nice and restaurant is clean. Sometimes they run out of our favorites like the fried mushrooms; otherwise great place.

The burgers get four stars, the fries, on this visit anyway, while handcut, were soggy. Odd cause the corn fritters I got were nice any crispy, tasty as well. I don’t know if they (the fries) sat around or what. I really like that they let you choose your cheese, not too common. The shake was 4.06 with tax, and is between a small and medium, definitely a bit overpriced. The price of two half pound cheeseburgers, a order of corn fritters, one of fries and a side of ranch was 17.24 $. Decided to add a shake after paying (how I know the after tax prices separately). The burger was pretty good, I think it was 4 something by itself for the half pound and they offer a quarter pound for 3 something. The fact that they make their own burger buns is definitely awesome. The only thing that would make the buns better is if they offered poppy seed buns!

This was def a surprise. Only 9 folks had reviewed this place when I found it on Unilocal so I wasn’t so convinced of its goodness. But let me tell you, these reviewers were on the money! A delicious find almost hidden in a shopping strip. Burger Style Café knows what delicious is! The fresh-​baked buns really take the burger up a notch! Me & my friend ordered the ½ lb bacon cheeseburger. We could only speak in «mmmm’s» for the first couple of bites. Juicy, seasoned, real beef patties!!! The bacon was yummy too. And they are not stingy with toppings. I asked for pickles and instead of the 2 or 3 slices some restaurants give you, I had plenty — enough to have pickle in every bite! I appreciate that. So yeah, of you’re in the area and want something good to eat, stop here for sure!
