Options Medical: Butterfield Blair T DO

I have had my fair share with doctors over the years and was always turned off by the turn and burn practices of most offices. Most doctors overbook and don’t spend time with most patients because they are either behind or are just trying to get as many patients in for the day as possible. So needless to say, I haven’t been to keen on going to any doctor let alone a new one when I moved to San Tan Valley,
My girlfriend recommended Options Medical because she knew my experiences with other doctors. Not to mention I need a doctor that I feel like listens and has my best interests at heart. I have yet to see Dr Butterfield but so far that was by choice. I have been seeing Crystal for all of my appointments so far and she has been absolutely fantastic. My first visit she explained their method for the practice. They spend as much time as a patient needs for their appointment. While you might get in 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, you will always leave feeling like they have answered every question you have and only after they have explained every test result, treatment plan, and blood work results.
I have felt 100% comfortable from the very start and with each followup visit. I can’t recommend Options Medical enough. I have no problem waiting a few extra minutes to get in because I know they are being as pleasant and thorough with every patient just as they are with me. I have never left an appointment wondering what my next steps were. I know I can be open and honest about my concerns or questions and not be made to feel like I am bothering a provider or causing them to be late for another patient or their lunch.
I plan on bringing all of 4 of my kids to Options and will plan on being a patient for as long as they’re around. Which hopefully will be forever. And again, a special thanks to Crystal for the care she has given myself and my girlfriend so far. She is one of the few «good guys» in the medical field who actually is there to help people.

When I moved to Arizona, I spent a fair amount of time looking for a good Osteopathic Physician because I want a doctor who considers the whole person — one who looks at the big picture of my overall health. I like those who will consider alternative treatments and not always suggest drugs for everything. I wanted someone who would take time and really listen when I have a concern.
I have had some difficult health issues over the years and had seen many different doctors (when I lived in Washington.) It took a long while to find the ones who could really help me and get to the root of the issue, not just cover the symptom with a band-​aid solution. So I know how hard it is to find a good doctor with a good support staff!
I found Dr. Butterfield and his staff in Mesa to be excellent in the way they treat the patient — not as a number but as an individual. They don’t rush you in and out as many medical offices seem to. When you call, the call is answered quickly by a real person with a good attitude. That’s hard to find in medicine, in my opinion. In a world where I see so much incompetence in many workplaces, Dr. Butterfield has a staff that follows through and takes care of business — they don’t drop the ball and let you down. It seems service to the patient is actually a priority in their office!
