Name Brand Exchange

The store on Val vista & southern will rip u off completely!!! They kept all my new items that included purses, leggings, new mens tees w/ tags, new van sneakers, brand new Burberry mens cologne w/ tag 4 $39.99. Nike hooded jacket. My point is they gave me $27 for new items. When they offered that price the clerk with long dark hair showed me a small pile of items & said “ we’re looking for specific things”???? Huh? Than why hide the extras u took. They handed me back my bags with some of the items I brought in. I was tired after waiting 2 hours for them to look at my things & should have checked them before I left. The realization that they literally stole half my stuff was a few days later. Who does this??? Name brand exchange on Val vista does, THIEVING business practices, who after reading one review it would an effort in futility to ask to speak to the owner.

If I could give this a ZERO, I would. We have been customers for many, many, years. The service is now, and has always been, terrible. Nothing has changed. They still don’t get it.
We were not acknowledged when we came in. but everyone after me, was. (Not out of the ordinary here)
I found what I needed, asked for help (as I needed some things from inside a case).
I was told by the young woman it would be just a minute. Her arms were full of clothes, so naturally I waited until she could put them on the rack.
She then proceeded to the register to help a man who walked up AFTER I had asked for her assistance. I was patient and waited for the transaction to be completed. At this point it had been ten minutes, waiting.
She then proceeded to help yet another random customer, still not acknowledging that I was still waiting, never an explanation as to why she was allowing me to stand there.
It had been 15 minutes and that is unreasonable wait time, and completely unacceptable in any business setting, EXCEPT for Name Brand Exchange, apparently. I put down what I had and we left. Even then no one noticed us leave in disappointment.
We did not have time to just waste that way. We went to a real store, made our purchases and went on our way. = Lost sales for you.
She might have told me «its our policy to help those at the register, first.» And ya know? Thats fine… IF you don’t already have a customer waiting for help. I have been asked to wait at registers in other stores for someone who was there first. I have no problem with that. Thats the way it should be.
It would have taken a moment to say Im sorry– I’m coming, or I’ll be with you shortly. Say «something» to your customer!!!
The CUSTOMER WAITING, IS JUST AS IMPORTANT TO YOUR BUSINESS AS THE ONE AT THE REGISTER. YOU HELP THE PERSON WHO IS FIRST, FIRST. period.
If your business cannot accommodate this simple request, perhaps you should look into hiring extra help.
I called the Manager/​Owner, Vanessa, to tell her of our disappointment today, and over the years.
I explained this was NOT good customer service. Vanessa was not at all understanding, but defensive and argumentative, stating policy verbatim, rudely and aggressively talking over me, never indicating any concern at all for how we were treated.
This is how they do things at Name Brand Exchange
She is the owner and the manager yet has no respect for the «would be» customers.
Vanessa was in NO way apologetic for the bad experience. She went as far as to tell me she would «trespass me» (her words) because she didn’t like what I was saying. Laughably not necessary, there is no danger of me returning. I can afford to pay full price, Idk why we even went there.
* Their buyers are masters at ripping you off for your quality «name brand» items, you, the customers all know it. It makes everyone mad, yet only some of you Unilocal it.
Think you are saving money?, yeah, we did too, just make sure you have plenty of time to kill.
Name Brand Exchange you need to rethink your policy. Instead of help the people at the register first, how about «First come, first serve».
Every other store in the world already «knows» that policy, and guess what? Its reasonable and acceptable to all.
Shame on you Vanessa, you are an owner/​manager. Because you can behave this way, does not mean you should.

This place is such a mess every time I come in and unfriendly employees. But the worst of all is all the fake S*** they sell there! Besides some purses! I mentioned to one of the employees how their Naked, Kat Von D, Anastasia Beverly Hills, and other name brand items were counterfeit. And they told me there was nothing they could do and they don’t actually authenticate anything. Okay well if that is the case why the hell is your store call NAME BRAND Exchange. Very disappointed in this establishment will never ever be back! If you ever get a chance to go in and look at there pallets look up the actual brand online and see the difference in colors. You can also always tell by the smell for example fake pallets have a chalky like smell and colors are also less pigmented. And fake cosmetics are always a lot lighter than authentic ones. And counterfeit purses always have hallow zippers and hallow metals.

Selection for the price can not be beat! Raybans for $ 25, I can do that! Still can afford to buy a new pair when I loose them in the Salt River! Selling can be hit or miss, I usually just stick to shopping. Lots of men’s clothes and shoes. Good music and atmosphere. I frequent weekly and am never disappointed. Staff is friendly enough, not overwhelming or pushy. Can find some real gems if you dig! Can you dig?

The selection at this store is wonderful. I came in looking for a dress for a wedding and was able to not only find the dress, but also accessories to go with it. The staff is super friendly and willing to help, too! :)

Friendly staff… selling not so great. Had a huge lot of used designer jeans that no longer fit all clean and in good shape. Not a single pair was purchased. Some of the jeans were like $ 200+ original and only wore a handful of times. Really disappointed, an explanation would have been helpful. I looked at the stock on the rack and what i brought in was comparable if not nicer, certainly nicer than some of the lower end brands i saw like old navy and American outfitters.

Absolutely loved this place! Went in and was able to find dozens of new clean jeans in my size! Only went home with a few though but they were all very clean with very little evidence of ever being worn and at a STEAL! Had a few issues that day, one regarding them accidentally charging me twice for one pair of jeans. Although it was my fault that I didn’t notice until I got home. but when I called, I spoke to Chelsea who was very helpful, professional and asked me to come in and they squared it up for me the very next day! That was very much appreciated. My only wish is that they would update the fitting rooms as I feel slightly uncomfortable and exposed, anticipating that someone was going to walk in on me. Mid-​change! Which in fact did happen that day. Thank god I was fully clothed at that time. But all in all I loved the store and will for sure be back.

I have them another chance today and took a huge basket full of brands like jcrew, free people, loft, gap, Michael stars, Bebe and many more! They took 14 items and gave me either $ 45 in trade or $ 29 in cash. Tell me how that could be right for the type if items they took?! I asked what the girl priced them at and she told me $ 5-​$ 6 each. How does that seem right?! I didn’t take items that were pilling or damaged or stained! Some even still had tags on them and some had only of been worn once! The buyers of that store do not know what their doing or else the owners tell them to give you nothing for your items! Either way I’m not returning!

I live this store. Great prices and friendly workers. The only problem is I wish that they would take bigger sizes in women’s items. They have a ton of small xs but not many large xl or even plus size. I know allot of people who have said this. I think it would be so much better if those sizes were taken and even advertised saying they were excepted.

Jessica was so helpful! I was able to name a few big brands and she went out of her way to find them for me. Resale shops can get hard to search through and she made it an easy and painless shopping experience.

I live across the street from this store and have been meaning to say something about how awesome this place is, for a while now. Now that I have come to do so, in the process I noticed an abundance of terrible reviews.
There ARE lots of fun and unusual pieces. I always have to remind myself I can’t have it all, despite the very low prices. I mean, can you really complain about an $ 8 silk, name brand dress, in great condition?! I can’t.
Now as far as these terrible reviews concerning customer service, I’m glad to say I can not relate. In my experience the ladies there have never been anything but cordial.

First time in and was so excited about the great selection. Alot of brand names. Up to date styles, great colors. Ended up with 8 tops which is very unusual 4 me. They also had some unique jewelry that I loved. The staff was pleasant and curtious. Would recommend.

I really wouldn’t even give this place one star! This place for starters has the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life! These girls look and act like this is the last place they want to be lol it’s ridiculous! My daughter and I could only laugh because they looked so miserable and were so rude! But with that said the way they price things is just down right low and dirty, unfair and just a shame! This place when I was a teenager was great we got good money for good clothes! Not anymore I am not sure who owns it now but what a shame! If people weren’t so desperate this place would be out of business! I swore to my daughter this will be the last time I ever walk into this place again! Loosing a 20+ year customer with three girls of my own now! Shame, not that they would even care with those attitudes lol :) Just thought I would give everyone a heads up!

Great unique finds! I always can go in there and come out with some good picks. I have been able to find some LAMB and Juicy purses for 50.00 at the most and they are authentic and in good condition. My only issue is that they do try to under bid you on purchases so be careful and know your prices on things you sell to them.

prices and clothes are great! love love love it! What i dont love is the fact that I took about 40 pieces of clothing, hollister, abercrombie, aeropostale forever 21, new heels and things even with price tags and they only took 6 things. ok?! they didn’t take the good stuff and only took some pink boots that were stained and new slippers. i was pissed. they said they were going to give me 24.60 and in the end they gave me 23.10 like wth? not going back for a while. and then you have to only spend the money they give you there, not even at their dobson location.

I’ve been going to both name brand stores for a very long time now. This store use to have a lot of designer jeans like Miss Me, rockin revivals, ect. I went in today and found absolutely nothing. Not 1 pair of designer jeans, or anything I would wear. This place has really went down hill.

Went here once in 1998, then 2006 and decided to give it another shot last Sunday.. nope hasn’t changed… girls that work there are still rude as hell. I brought in 2 bags of clothes that were like new, maybe worn twice cus i get super bored with my clothes quick, name brand… i thought the girl said fold them and put them on the table. So i took everything out of the bag, folded it while she stood there staring at me, then once i was done she said «i said unfold everything, i guess ill let it slide this time…» thrn i came back an hour later and The girls said all breathy with eye rolls like thier s*it doesn’t stink, «we can only buy 1 pair of jeans everything else is too warn…» never again will I go here the girls think they’re better than every customer who walks in there.

The customer service is very poor.
The girls do not want to do their jobs.
They stand around gossiping and giving stares.
If you have any type of question they either ignore you, answer sarcastically or respond very slowly.
I have tried to go back twice but ended up walking out because I felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable.
The clothes are overpriced, appear too used and are not current styles.

There is nothing about this place from the outside that stands out and MAKES you want to shop here. I didn’t read any reviews or look at any photos before making a stop here, so I expected it to be a dingy, poorly lit second-​hand store filled with ladies’ pant suits.
I couldn’t have been more far off. I was immediately surprised when I opened the door and saw a big leopard print couch (first thing my kids saw too) and tables filled with accessories. The store is organized, clean, and bright. Just like any other store that sells used clothing, the selection will be hit or miss, but the prices are good and if you have time to browse then you will probably find something that you like.
I picked up a black American Apparel jersey skirt for $ 9. There was a little hole on the seam but nothing I can’t fix. I was going to ask the girl working if she would lower the price but this was exactly what I had been looking EVERYWHERE for so it didn’t matter to me that much.
They have a bunch of fun necklaces for $ 1.99 and other inexpensive jewelery. Don’t expect high end or it to last long, but for that price it shouldn’t matter. I can’t wait to go back.
