Mesa Donuts

Annoyed. I have had about 3 good experiences and 5 bad. I’m done trying with this place. Today I ordered 3 glaze twists and 3 maple bars. After getting home and taking a bite it was OBVIOUS they were yesterday’s donuts. This is no way to run a business. I paid full price for old donuts. Be honest with people! If I’m giving you my hard earned money I deserve to get what I’m paying for. I would think it’s safe to assume a donut place would have FRESH donuts in the morning. What sucks even more is that I’m always the guy who tips.

I came here yesterday, I will never make the mistake of going back. Two of the donuts we got were under cooked and had to be thrown out. The donut I had tasted fine, but hours later I was sick to my stomach.

I walked over while I was getting my tires changed. It was a little before 8 and they had about half of a case of donuts. A couple walked in before me and literally gasped and asked if they had more coming. They did but it was going to be a half hour wait. I went ahead with a chocolate cake donut (my favorite) and a coconut crusted Bavarian filled (my jaw literally dropped) and a small coffee.
The chocolate cake was fantastic, not too dense, but still heavier than the original donut. The coconut was pretty disappointing, flavor was meh and super difficult to eat without making a huge mess. But the coffee was so hot! They served it to me without a lid, I waited about 3 mins before I took a sip, burnt my tongue. Waited another 3 mins and again, burnt my tongue! I think they might need to turn down their warm burners…
Décor was kinda strange, but it fit. I recommend checking it out, I will be again to see what a full case looks like.

Love this place! Great service! Awesome donuts! Clean! What else can I say? Nothing at this time. I’ll frequent this place for sure.

I love this place! Everything is so good, fresh and delicious! The employees are always so nice. Their coffee is perfect and my son loves the sprinkle donuts!

Kind of a bummer because when they 1^st opened it was so good and fresh. Now if you get there before 8:30 on a Saturday your Getting yesterday’s old donuts. It’s just unacceptable. This morning was the last draw for me. I don’t even think it was 8:00 yet and they didn’t have hardly any selection and they were ALL old donuts. I don’t get it? I go every Saturday and I think im going to go back to my old spots even though they are little further. I really like this place but I need fresh donuts on a Saturday morning. I just want to tell them, when you open a donut shop you have to go to work at 4:00 am and have the fresh donuts ready. It’s what you sign up for. Anyway, I hope they see this and make a change b/​c it’s so close to my house and the donuts are good when they are fresh.

Mesa Donuts is amazing!!! I’ve tried several donut varieties and have not been disappointed with any. The staff is very friendly and inviting. A dozen donuts for my office staff or for my vendors/​customers is the perfect «Thank You» and everyone who has received the gift of donuts has raved about these donuts. This is definitely my NEW favorite spot for donuts… LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it…

Ordered one of their sausage breakfast sandwiches and one bacon breakfast sandwich, plus a half a dozen donuts. The croissant sandwiches were very good without being greasy. The donuts are outstandingly good and don’t leave your mouth feeling like you have a coating of grease in it when you’re done. Like you get when you go to Dunkin Donuts. Great place to get your morning do not fix.

Cute little donut shop. They have a wide variety and their drip coffee is solid. They also have espresso drinks. Very friendly staff. Open early too!

Wish I didn’t have to edit my original positive review… but this business has dissapointed me a couple times now and I think it’s time to find a new donut place. I liked this location because it’s about two minutes away from me, but I’m willing to drive furthur for a better selection.
My first visit was great. The selection was massive. 2 full cases of various donuts to choose from.
My last two visits have been dissapointing as far as selection/​qty goes. Only one case has donuts in it and it’s usually two or three different kinds to choose from.
I didn’t think it could get any worse until my latest visit had even LESS… just 2 shelves of mostly the same donut.
I go around 9:30 in the morning. They’re open until 4. The donut selection should not be depleted THAT early. And if it is… (((make more)))
I get that it must be hard to fill the cases and hope donuts don’t go unsold and wasted… but I suppose that’s part of inventory, researching peak times and dates, and adjusting your qty accordingly.
You can’t have a donut shop and only sell one or two kinds of donuts at a TIME.
The customer after me even asked, «Is this all you have???»
To which the response was, «Yeah, but they’re fresh…»

Wow! We’ve been there 3 or 4 times now. The apple fritters are SO good — light, crisp and very tasty. Also really like the lemon filled donuts. The teenager raves about the jelly filled donuts. Everyone working there (looks like a family run biz) is super friendly and personable.
Highly recommended!

Someone at my workplace brought a box of these in. I had a plain glazed. It was very substantial (very tall/​raised) and quite dense, but not cakey. A step above the grocery stores and less flavorful and more dense («compact» is a word I would use) Dunkin’.

Oh em gee. We have just eaten the world’s BEST donuts. Apple fritters, lemon filled and buttermilk donuts were particularly other worldly. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, bursting with flavor. It’s a good thing we’re just visiting Mesa for a few days– these are the dangerous kind of confections that you’re not able to resist.

We just moved in around the corner and have been eyeing this place for a week and a half now. We decided that our 23mo old would experience her first donut this morning and it’s safe to say my wife and I were far more blown away than our daughter who doesn’t know any better. We got an apple fritter, our personal favorite out of them all with perfect moistness and crunchiness. The blueberry fritter was nearly at the same level. The glazed twist was fluffy and perfect. The Bavarian Cream was delicious! The pumpkin was unique, a perfect mix of spice and sweet. And my daughter couldn’t get enough of the fluffy, perfectly sweet glazed chocolate with sprinkles covered donut.
Love it. We will be back. Probably too frequently.

This place is fantastic! If you think Krispy Kreme donuts are too sweet, Bosa donuts are too heavy, and Dunkin is only good for coffee you’ll love this place. Best donuts I’ve found in AZ. So light, so fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness.
Seems like it’s run by one family and their service is top notch. Friendly and engaging, it’s really nice to see a business run this way. If you like coconut, try one of the toasted coconut donuts.
I’ve been in 4 times and there has always been a line but they work through it quickly and efficiently. Only place we will be buying donuts going forward.

Great first experience. Not a lot of people but they just opened and hade three or four there — not too shabby. Especially at 7:30 in the morning. Donuts were super fresh and the selection was huge. Their display was packed. Everything appeared to be clean and organized. We’ll be back

The BEST!!! Also super clean inside. This is my favorite spot out of all the Bosa’s. Way better than DD, in my opinion. Coffee is also delish

Went to Mesa Donuts this morning on my way to dropping my son off to school. There was a long line but they moved it along very quickly. They have a large selection of donuts and they were very fresh. They sell coffee and boba. I didn’t order any drinks but I did notice they use the flavored powders for the boba teas and drinks so if you are looking for fresh fruit this is not the place. The prices were pretty reasonable, $ 10 for a dozen. I would return to this place in the future.
