American Tree Masters

Miserable company with HORRIFIC customer service. Twice they have demolished my yard while working on my neighbor’s property by using my yard as their work station and they could care less. Think twice before you hire this company, it could cost you more in the long run… especially if they damage your neighbor’s yard in the process. Dan won’t even return a phone call acknowledging their mistake, great business man — not.

American Tree Masters came out to my house to take down a tree. The first experience was rough, Dan was running late, and I wasn’t sure but once he got here and we talked and he showed me everything he could do I was very impressed. His crew showed up with in 30 minutes of start of the window. They took the branches off as expected to protect the houses, then took the tree down. In about 2 hours the tree was gone and stump was ground up. They cleaned up everything and with exception to the grass not being where the tree was the lawn looked better before they started! I guess you can’t expect them to grow grass instantly =) I would recommend them 100% and will call them for any needs in the future! Thank you guys!

I chose American Tree Masters to trim up 5 trees on my property. I wish I would have read the reviews beforehand. The estimate went alright– the owner Dan came by and asked what I was looking for, he was understanding and made me comfortable about having to spend almost $ 400.00 on my trees right before Christmas. My appointment was for a few days later and I was disappointed. The first thing the worker said to me is «what do we have to do for you today?» — uhh, cut my trees and do what was written on my estimate? The workers rushed amd didn’t seem to want to be there (one even taking smoking breaks in my front yard). At the end was when they asked if I had cash. That would have been nice to know a little earlier. They asked for my email and said an invoice would be sent to me with a paypal account so I could pay with a credit card that way. I received the email later that night and it was for over $ 1,000! I’m a little confused on the BBB rating seeing as they are asking me now to pay three times as much as my estimate was for. Very disappointed with this company and how much stress they have put on me 2 days before Christmas.

Wow. If I’d read the other reviews, I probably wouldn’t have hired. My experience was this: Dan answers his phone. Other companies did not. I told him I was in a hurry and he came to give the estimate within the time I needed. I asked if he would be out or a crew and he said the crew would come back without him. The crew completed the work when promised. He did not require payment until I inspected and then allowed me to send a check as I was not on site immediately after the work. The tree was beautifully trimmed, just as he described it would be. The yard was cleaned up. There were some tiny leaves (mesquite) in the rocks, but nothing unrealistic. I can’t speak to the insured part. I did not check his claims. I was in a hurry, but should have requested proof of insurance. I would hire again.
