What a bad experience my husband and I had at this store on Black Friday. We are both huge True Religion fans and have bought many pairs of their jeans over the years at this outlet as well as Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, etc. We were just at this store a few days prior and spent a couple hundred dollars on jeans and wanted to see what special deals that had. My husband found two pairs of jeans that he loved and one had a sticker for $ 39.99 (which for anyone that buys TR knows that’s a steal) so it was a no brainer to purchase them. They were also having a Black Friday sale for buy one get one 50% off so we did one transaction with a pair of jeans for him and a pair for me and decided to do the $ 39 pair separate since they were so cheap.
When the cashier rang in his jeans, they came up as $ 120 and not $ 39.99 so we said there was a mistake. He went over to his manager who was talking with another associate and showed her the jeans. The other associate immediately accused us of switching tags and that we had to have pulled it off a shirt because jeans are never that cheap in the store. Extremely frustrated that we would ever be accused of such nonsense, we asked the manager to speak to us as the jeans were clearly marked. She was the most rude and unprofessional person I have ever spoke to in my life and I have no clue how she ever received the title of manager. My husband brought her over to the table and showed that all sizes of that exact jean also had the $ 39.99 sticker on it. She refused to honor it even though all the same jeans had the sticker (I guess we must have had the time to switch out all those stickers too) and told us the best she could do was $ 90.
Extremely aggravated by the lack of customer service and poor treatment, my husband left the store and I followed him. I went back in 5 minutes later to see if there was another «manager» working because the other girl was so rude. Of course, no one else was on so I went back up to her and asked her why they could not honor the price if everything was marked that way. She then accused me of lying and said none of the jeans were marked at that price and had removed all the stickers when I went to go grab the pair my husband wanted. Seriously? Not only are you going to treat me poorly, accuse me of switching tags but then think I am stupid when you took all the stickers off to make me look like an idiot? I don’t think so.
I don’t care what deals this outlet has going on. I refuse to ever purchase anything from this store again, which is sad because we love the brand but refuse to be treated this way ever again. Save yourself the mental aggravation and go right across to Off Fifth. They always have good deals on TR and other high end brand jeans.
