The Barber’s Tool Shed

Great barber shop. Has a fun atmosphere with free wifi and TV on the wall. I was visiting the area on business and needed a cut for a sales meeting. Blake knew exactly what I needed and gave me a military discount! No appointment necessary but you can make one if your schedule allows.

This place is busy and for good reason. They are not the least expensive. But for good reason. I’ve not ever had the attention to detail spent on my hair before. Value for dollar is extreme.
The people that work here are craftsmen and artists and stop at nothing short of perfection. The owner runs a tight ship and sets the bar for his employees. The waiting area is comfortable. The atmosphere is pleasant. This is sincerely the best haircut and haircut experience have received in NH.

Been going here for about a year now. Both Chris and Blake are great guys who know a thing or two about cutting hair. This place has been consistently great since I got my first cut, and what amazes me the most is that Chris remembered me and my cut after only 1 visit.
Highly recommended.

I came in tonight (Monday) around 6, had a beer and watched some sports center with the guys. This is only the second time I have been here but I decided to come back because Chris gave me a great cut the first time and who could beat a free beer while you wait. Besides the atmosphere, the beer and the sports, Chris and his crew do a fantastic job. Even though I was only in once before, Chris remembered me. For anyone new to the are or just looking to try a new place, I would highly recommend The Barbers Tool Shed.

These guys always do a great job. Real barbers, giving real haircuts for men. You can have a beer, watch sports , and get a shave and a haircut. What could be better. These guy are the real deal. My two sons and myself go here for our haircuts, you should too.

Decent atmosphere, and open Sundays! Pricing is very fair. I popped in on a whim last weekend.
I threw a tall order at the young man (Harvard) who was available to help me and showed him a few pictures of a somewhat complex cut. He’s still young and seems like he’s still perfecting techniques, but he gave it the old college try. Spent a lot of time with me, and was good about checking to make sure I was happy with the result and reworking any spots where I had an issue. My hair cut came out good, though not quite what I had hoped for. I’m going to have to let it grow in for a while before I can try again.
I watched Chris working while I was getting my cut, and you can tell he’s got a lot more experience under his belt. Might try Chris my next time through, only because I’m looking for something that uses a lot of advanced technique. Harvard did a great job on my fade, just required a little patience as he works with clipper guides and interchangeable blades, rather than clipper over comb like Chris does.

My son’s hair is super straight and really hard to cut. These guys are the only ones who have been able to make it look good! They are very precise.

This is the only barber shop I will go to. Chris is the best and knows how to cut hair well. He always takes his time and is never in a rush. Plus you can enjoy a cold beer before getting your hair cut. Fair prices!

Great place, quality cuts done in a timely manner. Good atmosphere. Waits are growing long due to popularity but they have a nice electronic wait list so you can leave and run errands if you need to.

Got a haircut in January from Chris. He did a great job — I have thin hair and prefer a military-​style cut. It was the best haircut I’ve had in a while. He also gave me a veterans discount, which I declined but appreciated just the same. Definitely going back.

Found myself the a new barbershop! I’ve been looking for a new barbershop for awhile now and after researching online The Barber’s Tool Shed stood out to me and i decided to give it a try. Chris made me feel very welcome as soon as i got there, his cut was amazing, i loved to see how much attention to detail he put in to my hair. He knows how to use a razor blade and hair clippers, but he also knows how to use scissors. I feel like a lot of barber shops aren’t to comfortable using scissors or if they are they cut very awkwardly. Another thing i liked was they use pomade instead of gel, usually id get lathered in gel and would have to come home, wash it off and re do my hair, not here. My hair looked awesome and i didn’t have to re do a thing.
I loved the old fashioned style and there was also beer and drinks in the fridge!
Found myself the perfect barber shop! If you live in the Merrimack area The Barber’s Tool Shed is the place to go!

This is the real deal barbershop. Have been now a hand full of Times, and had only great cuts by Chris and Ed. Thankfully the one who couldn’t cut hair quit. I have been all over the Manchester and surrounding area trying to find a decent place. People, do yourself a favor and go to The Barber’s Tool Shed and make this place your go to barber like a lot of us are doing. Chris has an arsenal of barber skills and the atompshere is very welcoming. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

I’ve lived in Merrimack for 25 years and never knew this place was here. Found it on Unilocal.Stopped by and got a great haircut from a intelligent and articulate young man named Josh who did a great job. I had a job interview coming up and asked him to make me look neat and presentable but a style more like a creative type than a salesman. He understood and nailed it. The shop is clean and neat and very reasonably priced. No more high-​priced salons for me.

What a great find. Ed and Chris were very friendly and great at what they do. They took care of me and my boys and were very professional but personable, which is a big deal with young kids. So happy we stopped in and we’ll definitely be back!

Visited the Barber’s Tool Shed for the first time this past Wednesday. There was a bit of a wait due to there is currently on one barber (he did say they are actively searching for the right person to work the second chair), but it was well worth the wait. Chris is very meticulous and made sure everything was done the way I wanted. I will be back for sure.
Update September 16^th 2014:
Have visited many times this year. Chris had 2 more barbers hired, but it looks like only Eddie made the cut. I have now received haircuts from both gentleman here and have been satisfied every time with my appearance.
Chris now takes appointments on certain weekdays, which can be helpful if you have a busy schedule.

Just got a great haircut at The Barber’s Tool Shed. After Chris finished cutting my hair, he followed up with a neck shave with hot shaving cream and straight razor. A hot towel was a great finish. Couldn’t have asked for more. The place is spotlessly clean, the conversation great the whole experience very relaxed. I haven’t had a haircut like this since my grandfather took me to his barber when I was a kid. Gentlemen of Merrimack, Bedford or Nashua, make your way to The Barber’s Tool Shed and see Chris for a cut, you won’t regret it.
