How could this please have anything but five stars? I’d say the only thing they need to work on is getting more cheeseburgers into my stomach!!!

These people that work wouldn’t even smile or say thank you. That says alot about this town and the burgers were nothing special. Just happened to pass by and stop in for a quick bite. I should have just stayed driving.

Great burgers! My friends and I bike down to this local spot and enjoy their curly fries and fantastic shakes on their benches outside the place. Really nice staff and a gem! Only wish they were open all year!

I love this place. I have been coming here since we first moved to MA and it has not changed at all. I always get the couple cheeseburger special. The curly fries are delicious and fresh made. And they have vinegar for the fries! I highly recommend skips.

I can only give 2 stars. The food is mediocre at best and super expensive. The burgers they claim to be the best, they are not. Sorry, there are a ton of better places in the area.

I have never been to this resturant, but based on the racially derogatory rants he has on social media I doubt I’d be welcome. People should know when they spend money at a business if the owners has views that totally contradict what you feel is moral. When spew hate you I don’t want you cooking me anything and I refuse to allow you to profit from me — not a cent. Maybe this place should move to Alabama they are like minded.

Great curly fries! Skip’s is seasonal and we get there a couple of times during the summer. Cruise Night is a fun time to go. It’s not part of a chain, and it’s not fancy. Locals love it and it’s nice supporting a local Establishment. Double cheeseburger plate special to go please!

Likes others have said the staff needs an attitude adjustment! They are rude and then talk to each other about the customers behind the counter. Not cool at all. As for the food it is consistent. The fries are great and the burgers are good. The management should do some customer service training pronto!

This place is a decent place to stop for a quick bite to eat. The burgers are decent and I like the lobster rolls and chowder. Service is pretty quick and the place is old but clean. They also have excellent car shows every other weekend in the summer. I would give this place four stars if not for a few minor issues. 1.) The hours are short and not prominently posted, which can get irritating. 2.) They do run out of things at random intervals which can be tough when you have a craving for something. 3.) When they close at the end of the year they start running out of stock weeks before and don’t replace anything. But these issues will not keep me from going back — especially since it is just a mile from my house. Just don’t go there expecting them to be open any later than 9(even on the weekends).

Cash only! Fast food, one step above a mcdonald’s burger. Used to love this place but now we go to Lexie’s, Five Guys and Jake’s Way Back Burger(each of these places have a much friendlier staff and a clean, current seating area). The staff at Skip’s isn’t always friendly. Sometimes they are impatient with the elderly and that’s bothersome to see. Also, they are closed in the winter.

Best god damn burgers east of the Mississippi! I don’t know why Unilocal requires so many words but let me tell you if you want some good fast food you need to stop here and check it out.

If you are looking for the best burger you have ever had, Skip’s isn’t the place for you. If you are looking to try a new place with no real commitment to ever going back, Skip’s is not the place for you. If you are looking for a place to take your family on a Sunday, to eat, talk and watch your kids run around the same fields you did as a kid — There is no better place for this in the area. Skip’s is where you go when you first get your license as a kid, it’s where you take your high school dates, it’s the first place you want to go to when you are home on school break or home from the military. Skip’s is like that old Drive-In that you remember going to as a kid, it’s like that first Friday night football game you played in during high school, it may be where you had your first kiss or your first date with the woman you would eventually marry. To me and my family… Skip’s has the best burger of its kind, because there is no way 5 Guys, Burton’s or Fudruckers is going to provide a lifetime of memories that span generations, as Skip’s is where you will take part in creating memories that will last longer than you. It’s where you go to remember the good times you had with family and friends who have passed away. It’s where you meet up with friends to catch up on missed days. It’s where you alone will sneak off for lunch on a Saturday in the middle of running errands. It’s where you anxiously wait for your number to be called, only to have the number after you called first. Skip’s is where you go for lunch and stay for dinner because time passes you by. Skip’s is where you go to people/kid watch, while digging into that greasy bag of deliciousness, salt packets, ketchup cups, coke cola…

I have been coming to SKIPS for years. The burgers are great and the curly fries. My family and friends come here quite often as well. I would give them more stars but for a company to be in business for 63 years you think they would start coming to times that they should except debit and credit cards. Let’s go SKIPS. Step up to the times, people don’t carry cash that often anymore.

It was my first time eating here, but I will be back. We got the cheese burger special which comes with fries. Burgers are pre — dressed, but they can be customized. They are smaller than what most places serve, but still juicy. The curly fries were hot and crispy, I tend to judge a restaurant on their fries and these are very good. They have a dining room and an outdoor eating area with ample seating. I personally feel that the price is worth it. They do not accept credit or debit cards, so bring your cash.

I have said it’s a real bold move for a restaurant to claim to be «the best» and put it on your sign out front of your establishment for everyone to see. Some restaurants do this and of course aren’t the best, but Skip’s definitely is one burger place that can talk the talk and walk the walk. I fully support that sign that says it’s the best as Skip’s never disappoints. The burgers are always great and the fries never fail to amaze me. The burgers are your typical old fashioned smaller patties; they are definitely not the 1 lb. ones that you might find at other places. They are served the way hamburgers were meant to be served. The fries are amazing; I’ve actually found a few individual curly Q’s that when stretched out were close to 2 feet long!!! Skip’s is definitely a New England gem and the cruise night car shows in the summer just make it even better. My only question is, why do they sell the old mayo and frying oil containers. This has puzzled me for years. I guess they can be reused, but why sell them? They should just be given away. Oh well, my suggestion is go to Skip’s and taste the best burger around.

Skips is very tasty. It’s far from high quality gourmet cooking. If that’s what you’re looking for it’s probably not for you. I’ve been going here since I was a kid but I haven’t really had anything other than the burgers and fries. I usually get the double cheeseburger because their patties are very thin. Expect tons of grease! They have a really nice outdoor seating area and if you’re into antique cars make sure to check out a car show here in the summer. CASHONLY — hit up the ATM on the way!

Not Good. First, a little background: I’ve been dating my bf who is from this area for over 5 years now. I’ve been asking him ever since I first started coming up here to go to Skips and he always made an excuse not too. I always thought this was strange but what do I know. We recently moved in together no more than two miles away from Skips so I finally decided that today was the day I would try this mysterious place that we’ve driven by so many times. When you walk in, you walk up to a window. There is one ordering window. ONE. I can only imagine how long the lines are during busy summer days. You can decide to sit inside the dining room or outside on one of the dozen picnic tables. We opted for the air conditioned dining room, which has a good amount of tables. Now, onto the food… I ordered the cheeseburger special, which is just a cheeseburger with fries. The bf got the chicken finger special which was chicken fingers and… you guessed it, fries. Service was friendly enough and the food was ready in 5minutes or so. The food is NOT what I expected. I thought my cheeseburger was going to be something impressive, instead it looked like I got it straight from the McDonalds drive thru, only the lettuce was a bit fresher. The hamburger patty had nothing too it, really disappointing. The bf was not impressed w/the chicken fingers. The ‘famous’ curly fries were only good if you added a pound of salt to them and oh, btw, none of them were curly and most of them broke as we picked them up. sigh. The entire meal cost us just under $ 20. Honestly I dont want to be obnoxious but if I had to chose between going back to Skips or going to a fast food drive thru, I’d pick the latter. In my opinion the only impressive thing about Skips is the neon sign outside… truly disappointing.

I really like Skips. Ive been coming here since I was a wee lass! Anyway, their cheeseburger special is so disgustingly, fatteningly, naughtily DELICIOUS! The cheeseburgers and Hand-cut curley fries are made with a special something(I think peanut oil maybe?) the fries are a mile long sometimes too, which is always fun. This place has cruise nights and its always fun to hear your order called on through what sounds like a tin can… l.” NUMBAHHFOHHH”“ Outside benches in the sun is where I always sit. next to some guys dog usually. fun. good. cheap. fattening… what else could you ask for!
