Walmart Supercenter

Merrillville IN Wal-​Mart is dirty from the parking lot to the back of the store. This store needs management that can motivate the employees to do their jobs and take pride in their work. Maybe it’s time for WAL-​MART CORPORATE to clean-​up this store.

I never been to a store that has so many checkout lanes and only 2 are open no matter what time it is. On top of that, the staff memebers work so slow and always seem like they do not want to even be there.

If you like a clean environment, friendly service, and organization please don’t go to Walmart in Merrillville, IN! This place is by far the worst Walmart that I’ve visited! I would just suggest shopping at Meijer since they sale the majority of what Walmart sells and they are a lot nicer.

Walmart is defintely a One Star store! This store holds true to its motto, «discount superstore», it is discount on customer service, friendliness, and cleanliness. And it doesn’t matter what department you go into, you’re going to get the same type of service, horrible. You would think that you could get better service in the pharmacy since their working with your health, but I was completely wrong. I do not understand how this business could stay in business, besides by their low prices and comparative pricing.

2 stars in general; 3 for having what we needed and for friendly service.
We were looking for Throwback Pepsi, which is hard to find in Ohio (in 12-​packs, anyway.) None at Target, couldn’t get to Meijer easily, and though we avoid Walmart it supposedly had the pop. And indeed it did. And it was on sale. We loaded up.
The store was the usual Walmart craziness, as was the parking lot. We got in and out as fast as we could. Checkout lady was super friendly and funny.

I’m so frustrated with this Walmart & I generally don’t even bother doing 1 star reviews for any business because I understand things go wrong sometimes. But I have been to this place at least 30 times and have never once had a good experience. I won’t bore you with all of the experiences, but I will mention 1 that set me off to write this post.
I went in for «quick» trip to the deli for turkey around 3pm on a Thursday and no one was waiting in line at the deli and there were 2 people behind the counter. One was on the phone and the other was talking to someone down at the very end of the counter. I THOUGHT it might have been a customer she was talking to so I was just waiting my turn, but after waiting for 10 minutes, I started listening to their conversation to figure out what was going on. It was definitely someone that she knew (friend or family) and she was cussing at him. Honeslty like «F» you and «F» that. And it started getting really loud so it was awkward for everyone. I started walking away because I was over it and didn’t have time to wait any longer. When she noticed me walking away, she yelled out «What do you want?» in the rudest tone. And I really didn’t think she was talking to me but I looked over anyways and sure enough she was. I tried to be as nice as possible about it, but I said I didn’t want anything now since it seemed to be such an issue. She then started saying things under her breath about me to her «friend» so that was that. I’m glad I didn’t get anything, but not happy to have wasted 15 minutes of my life on her or this Walmart location.
No one has ever been anything but rude here & I just would not recommend it to anyone! I know it’s Walmart and it is what it is, but I just don’t think anyone should be blatantly rude! Just know that going into this place…

This Walmart is huge and honestly maybe that is good because when I went there wasn’t a lot of people. Walmart generally ticks me off. The food section seems ok and it was easy to locate but the rest of the store is a mess! I know the staff can only keep up with so much and it’s the customers that jack the store up.

I hate Walmart, but realize that there are times you end up there anyways. Ugh! Don’t end up at this one. It’s dirty, unorganized, out of stock, crazy busy, rude, and I’m not sure it’s the safest (I always see cops outside here). There are plenty more around… not Valpo-​they never have stock. Trust me! Horrible store. I like Michigan City if I have to go. They seem to keep up on stock and have a nice variety to choose from.

I find this Walmart location very dirty. The staff is not friendly., and they work extremely slow. If I ever ask for help they rolled her eyes before they dragged themself to help me.
I avoid this location and drive to Schereville or to the Valparaiso locations

Electronics and photo is always understaffed. Each of the three times I need help, thursday afternoon (non peak) 1−2pm I waited. The reps really don’t want to be there and complain about everyone else.

One word: Seedy.
Just like every other Walmart out there.
to upgrade, see its cousin: Sam’s Club.
One word: less seedier.
to upgrade further, see its arch-​nemesis: Target.
Two words: Much better.

So with the impending day coming (2÷27÷2010) I had to get a 3 Tier wedding cake fast and on a budget !
LOL… I didn’t even know WalMart sold Wedding Cakes !
not only did they have the exact freakin’ cake I just looked at, at another bakery and it was priced at $ 500 with no filling (everybody wants to be a comedian with that kind of price tag for a cake).
Good ol’ Wally world had the same damn cake and they went the extra mile and took a color sample from a ribbon we had and matched the cake to it. The grand total on my 3 tier cake to feed 200 guest’s was $ 140 ! hahhahahhahaaa only in Indiana at the 24 Hour Walmart on RT 30. They were nice and it was a quick and painless process and the cake was really good and fresh. I ordered the cake on a Tuesday and it was ready on Saturday morning. Priceless —
