Party City

The bad attitude from the staff here was just too much for me this morning. I stopped in at 9:30 am to beat the Halloween crowd so I cpuld pick up two last minute items for my daughter’s costume. The store wasn’t all that busy yet. I had selected my items and went to the checkout area where neither of the ladies seemed interested in helping me… at all. I stood there in front of them for what seemed like an eternity. After finally getting the attention of one of the two ladies, she silently began ringing up my things. As she rang them up, I mentioned that the price tag on the hook was half of what they were ringing up for. I told her there were more like it still on the shelf and would be happy to show her where they were so she could see.
She didn’t bite… there was absolutely NO interest in looking with me or helping me. She only turned to her coworker and very sarcastically and condescendingly said «she says they were xx. xx price?» with a silly smirk on her face and the other cashier said (without even looking at the item closely enough to see what it was) «Yeah, they AREN’T $xx.xx!» and rolled her eyes. (How would she know if she didn’t look? Wouldn’t she be concerned that something was marked wrong if they actually were? Does she even KNOW what I was wanting to purchase since she barely glanced at it?) The cashier turned back to me with a satisfied grin, eyebrows raised, and waited on me to respond. The entire intetaction was quite intimidating. I finally said «Just forget it. I don’t even want them anymore. I will go somewhere else» and left. I found what I needed at another store where the customer service didn’t totally stink.

I’m always up for a party, and when I need my supplies this
is usually the first place I stop. The mass amounts of stuff here
is incredible, the décor and OMG the balloons. LOVE it!
Every occasion you can think of, they probably have something
for it here.
