Shopping at Meijer is great. Checking out is a different story. One clerk assisted checkout open out of 18. Self service check out had lines 2 – 3 people each with CONSTANTREDLIGHTDELAYS. The prices are not reflective of do-it-yourself services yet the last few times I’ve shopped there it was not an option. It took more time to checkout and bag my items than it took to fill my cart. Really disappointed with lack of consideration for customers. A real time waster.

Awful meats, low-quality vegetables and the service at the checkout is deplorable. At least the meat guys tried, but whoever the buyer is there needs to reevaluate what they are doing. Meat is all fat, no flavor and packaged to hide the sketchy colors hidden underneath. Veggies are wilted and soggy. Very disappointing.

Absolutely worst place to buy groceries. NO customer service and after spending a 100 + dollars to find dead flies in my cauliflower and rotten oranges… no. Absolutely never going again. Don’t waste your time or your money.

Meijer is a great place to shop for groceries and almost anything else you can imagine. This store gets quite busy and I know(from being employed here) that some departments are short-staffed to make labor budgets. If customers knew half of what goes into weekly Ad changes(both signs & displays), keeping the shelves stocked and conditioned, and keeping up with markdowns on close dated perishable items, they might get less angry at the employees when they’re favorite flavor of something didn’t come in on the truck(out of the thousands of items that Meijer carries). People can compare it to Stracks all day, but Stracks only sells groceries and they’re prices are a bit higher. Still, many of the employees bust their butts to do a lot with a little. I have always loved to shop here. Good deals all the time. 10 for $ 10! M-perks offers great promotions and coupons. They ALWAYS have clearance items(from food to clothing to décor). Employees are friendly when they’re not getting berated for something that is beyond their control. And they have everything you need in one stop!

Why do I REALLY shop at Meijer? Well, honestly, its because their pint-sized carts are just so cute and fun to push around. Big bulky carts are so annoying and I’m not a SUPERCOUPONER(yet) to need such a big cart. I love the layout of the store and the ease of check-out, along with the Meijer brand Organic products. I purchase my organic milk and eggs here when possible. Another great incentive to shopping at Meijer is their Mperks rewards… online coupons specifically for that location, which can be electronically clipped at home and scanned upon checkout! The grocery prices here can be higher than other local stores, so it does help to price compare if you like saving a couple of bucks!
