This restaurant attached to the pro shop at Ponta Creek Golf Course is actually named the Sandtrap Grill, not the Golf Shack restaurant. It is an informal place to get a simple breakfast or lunch here at the Navy base. It can get busy at lunch as there aren’t many dining options on base.
I had their club sandwich and it was good (3). Most days for lunch they will also offer a special not on the menu. The day I was there it was taco salad.

Good value onboard Naval Air Station Meridian for breakfast and lunch. Go for Texas Wedge (jalapeño pepper/​cheese over ¼ pounder) or Birdie (grilled chicken fillet), crispy fries and sweet tea. The place to go for an honest meal, not for «healthy» options. Hit a bucket of balls while you’re there!
