I’ve been a member of Planet Beach since I moved here 7 years ago. I have had memberships at various locations(with different owners) as I’ve moved around the valley. Each time I had to sign a contract with a thirty day cancelation policy. The reason I originally used planet beach is because I prefer to spray tan and that was included. However, this location updated their machine so now you have to pay for your color each time you spray tan($ 8). That adds up when you’re already paying $ 60/month. So after several months of not using my membership I decided to contact management and see if I could get a better deal for only the services I would use(mostly spray tan). I asked for management on several occasions and each time they wrote down my name and number and said management would get back to me within a week. I was given a list of the excuses why they didn’t call including change of management(which changed several times during my membership). On the FIFTH time I told the girl to cancel my membership. She pulled out my contract and someone had crossed out 30 day cancelation and had hand written 60 days. This has never been an issue at any other location so she called her manager who agreed to honor the 30 day cancelation over the phone. I paid for one last month and 4 days before my last date of service the manager called me and said that she would be charging me for one more month because my contract said 60 days. I reminded her that I attempted to contact her several time and she agreed to the 30 days at the time I canceled. Her response«well honestly I don’t remember that because I’m managing 3 different locations with 400 members». Horrible customer service!!! My membership will end TODAY and I won’t be back to any of the locations under this management.

I cannot tell you the quality of the salon because I cannot get past the phone call… I called to just get some prices on tanning packages. I was asked if I was a member, which I am not, just want to tan. I was then told that there were«too many packages and choices» and that I would need to schedule a time for a consultation. I verified that I was just interested in tanning. She said she could not give me prices over the phone. Yah… okay…and you don’t have a customer either…
