Czapiga & son is a Central CT landmark. They have been around for decades providing locals with phenomenal polish foods, especially their smoked kielbasa. The location is off the main drag of meriden. don’t be turned off by the location, once you step foot inside, the aroma of smoked porky goodness will make you buy everything they have to offer. (Bring cash, or check)
My usual haul is a couple pounds of the good stuff (smoked kielbasa), some potent grain mustard, and a loaf of local rye bread. Oh, and a $ 5 kielbasa, kraut, mustard on rye to go.
These guys are open daily, year round to get your sausage fix. Go get it!

I’ve gone here numerous times & the pierogis & kielbasa are fantastic. The freshness of the food they make there is unsurpassed; you can try new things as well, like the blueberry pierogis, which I’ve never tried before. This is definitely worth a Unilocal bookmark & a MUST GO place.

This is the best place around for keilbasa and pierogis. They also sell Krakaus brand ham at prices better than the local grocery stores. This is a must visit for people who love kielbasa.

Growing up in a Polish family in central Connecticut, I’ve been eating Czapiga’s for as long as I’ve been eating solid foods. They defined genuine Polish kielbasa and pierogi for me. Nowhere else in any place I’ve lived have I found anything to top their home-​made product. Friendly local people and reliably awesome Polish foods.
