Got a to go pork sandwich for a play at Castle Craig Players. It had pork(obviously), adobo sauce, fried beans, cheese, avocado, lettuce, and chipotle peppers. All fresh ingredients! It was delicious and gigantic! Can definitely split this sandwich!

So overpriced. We got a 50 dollar meal that should have been 25. Worst burrito I ever had. Mostly rice and the tortilla was hard. The owner was amazingly friendly but when we left without tipping(we bused our table, got our own napkins, water, cups.), she was nasty. Would never eat here again.

I love this place. We get the family taco meal and bring it home. The kids love it and it’s a definite quick and authentic meal when we want it but don’t wanna cook.

I must say this place is pretty good. Either I was really hungry or the guacamole was amazing. The chicken burrito was tasty, but there was way too much rice and not enough chicken. If you order the burrito, I recommend holding the rice. It’s a little pricey with the chicken burrito and guacamole with chips running me about $ 15, but it was pretty tasty and I would go back if in the area.

Talk about some dank Mexican food. Very authentic and a must stop if on your way from Boston to NYC. It is a family shop which can be a little slow at times if packed but my gosh is it delicious!

Wow, not expecting to find this ham in the middle of Connecticut! Burrito, Soup, and Rice were great! But spectacular… the TAMALES! INCREDIBLE.

I love Mexican food, but until my recent visit to Cucaramacara Mexican Eatery, I could find no Mexican restaurant in Connecticut worthy. This place is worth a drive from anywhere! The food is not just good… it is GREAT! I ordered seconds and probably could have stayed for thirds. Will definitely be back.

Wow I can’t get all the good reviews this place gets. It’s way overpriced for what u get. The people that work there are very hard to understand. One time I even had my Spanish speaking friend order over the phone for me and they still got the order wrong. Tacos MI nacho is much better.

My co-workers and I found this place last fall and the whole office has been going back ever since! A hidden little place making so many delicious items. Not a fast food joint so please be patient, as all food is made to order with love from family recipes. Do yourself a favor and stop by Cucaramacara!!!

A solid choice for tasty Mexican Fare. Very good burritos, tacos and tasty guac. By far my favorite choice is the Pollo Torta. It is very large and fresh yet very easy to force yourself to savor the entire sandwich. What has become a turnoff to me is the large chalkboard menu that allows for constant changes in pricing. Food prices are definitely on the rise however I don’t think that the ingredients in their Mexican dishes constitute a PTM style pricing system. The hood fans seem to be in need of a solid cleaning as each time that I have left the establishment as of late I land up having to wash my clothes right away from the sweet greasy smell that hangs on them from the restaurant.

Great little authentic Mexican restaurant! Make sure you ask if they have tamales only sold Friday-Sunday if you are lucky. The portions are big and well worth the price. Taco salads are also good. They have a nice spicy kick to them.

I had this place bookmarked for months to try and I finally got a chance to stop on my way home from Lyman Orchards. I got the Pollo allaPlancha torta and 3 tacos(steak, al pastor and fish). The tacos were decent, but not some of the best I’ve had. The torta was amazing! As others have said it’s huge. Prices seem to be a bit high for a hole in the wall place in Meriden, but I’ll gladly pay $ 10 for that torta again. Next time would probably try the macho man burrito that people rave about. Between this place and tacos mi nacho, makes me want to move to Meriden.

Go and get a torta. Yeah, you probably don’t know what it is, but if you like sandwiches, then you will like this one!!! Made with homemade bread, avocado, beans, delicious stringy cheese and some sauce that is out of this world, this sandwich is awesome. If you don’t want to try a torta, then I would say that everything I have had here has been delicious and portion sizes are pretty big, so I’m not sure if you can really go wrong. So go on down and get yourself a torta with pork! You can thank me later!

Very good authentic Mexican cuisine! Fresh homemade guacamole was outstanding! Burritos were huge and tasty! Chips for guacamole and salsa are homemade. I would of given 5 stars but the air conditioning was not on!

Found this spot while living in Meriden a few years ago. Small place, only 6 table and a few bar stools. Very good authentic Mexican food. The prices have gone up recently so I have not ordered out as much because of it. $ 11(tax included) for a burrito is on the high side for me. However, I still travel to Cucaramacara even though I moved out of Meriden.

I had the placero burrito. The burrito had some good kick. If you looking for something spicy give it a try. The prices here are a lil bit on the high side but they do serve large portions which do make up for it. I would go back again.

I had an al pastor burrito which was good, although the pineapple made it a little sweet for my taste. It was very large & filling. The fish taco was excellent and topped with plenty of fresh cilantro and diced onion. Their house hot sauce has plenty of kick. Nice atmosphere inside, very clean and inviting. Not quite the best Mexican place in Meriden but still very good.
