Very good buffet at a very good price. The honey chicken is my favorite, but I like almost everything. It’s got a very good assortment of food. Most important to me is that they are very child-friendly. We have a toddler and the staff couldn’t be nicer. We go about once a month and it’s pretty consistent.

After a pretty respectable first couple of years this restaurant has gone progressively down hill. It was a reputable challenger to the local favorite Pacific Buffet this place was once so good it drove Pacific to lower their price. As time has gone on we are learning with each visit Pacific has nothing to worry about. The food quality is bottoming out… its becoming dirtier… the staff has become even less friendly than they were in the beginning(that they never were) and today the stench in the place was so intense from a rotting bucket of water that was housing used silverware it ruined our meal. We discussed the problem with the owner/manager and he told us. next time…(waiiiit for it… you think were gonna get comped a meal here right? ummm Nah!) «Sit some place else!» Pacific Buffet everyone… Ives Road Wallingford… about 2 miles away. I hope this place closes down… that entire screwy plaza has become a nightmare and that place has become a joke. Our last 3 visits have been awful.

Great choices, from sushi to hibachi to standard Chinese buffet, with many dessert choices. This is definitely worthy of many repeat visits. I love the hibachi. Take a plate, add noodles, broccoli, squid, onions and shrimp, bring it to the cook and watch him prepare it. Today was my third visit in 2 weeks.

This place is straight up hood like most Chinese buffets. It’s in a corner of a strip mall, and its décor is … corner of a strip mall. Instead of purchasing real art and decorations, the owners just decided to put up pictures of sushi and hibachi items with their brand logos on the wall. What a classy touch, guys. The food here isn’t terrible. It has your standard buffet items and several items involving bad fake bacon. The only item that stood out to me was these little pineapple meatballs. This place is definitely one of those quantity over quality places. If you want to expand your waistline by eating greasy fake Chinese food, I would suggest going down the street to Pacific Grill and Buffet. The pricing is exactly the same as this place, but the selection is much better at that other place. Trust me on this: I’m Asian, and we as a people are buffet experts. ETA: Stay away from the offensive mac and cheese. It has sweet mayonnaise in it!

Hit or miss, depending on the days. People that come here seem to be very rude, and the inner décor is that of a warehouse instead of a restaurant. Very cold feel like they want you to leave. $ 11 per person and you eat 10 different kinds of every food. Sushi, Hibachi, Chicken Wings American Style, a Huge Beef Chuck you cut yourself. Only downside is when it’s slow, the food dwindles, and the rice gets very hard quickly. Other than that I recommend going when it would be busiest, as the morning may yield unwanted results.

In my opinion, this is one of the best Asian buffets around. The buffet food is mostly very good and sushi is great. The hibachi is awesome. You can bring as little or as much as you want to the grill and within minutes, you’re good to go. The sushi and hibachi alone are worth the price. The«regular» food is a bonus. The restaurant is always clean, and the staff is fast but not overly-friendly. All in all, I love this place.

Okay I don’t know if I went on an off night or something, but this place was AWFUL. I get the whole«you get what you pay for» mentality, but… this was just foul. In the words of my boyfriend, he would rather«eat a bag of dicks» than eat here again. Fingers crossed that we didn’t get food poisoning.

Hibachi is the only reason I continue coming to this place. Very fresh, delicious hibachi food cooked by a Mexican cook haha. But really good!

Great sushi and sashimi! Hibachi bar. So many good things to choose from. We loved it! And what a value for $ 10.99!

Cheap, especially if you check around for some coupons. If you just want a lot of food for very little money, Asian Buffet is for you. As for their food, they are more about quantity than quality, offering a huge variety of options from standard chinese buffet fare, to several sushi options, a hibachi grill, and a number of other foods. Unfortunately, none of it is particularly good. If you just want to strap a feed bag onto your face and chow down, then this is the place for you. There is enough variety that you are bound to find something that you want to stuff down your mouth-hole. However, if you are looking for something more(and I have to ask why you’d come to an Asian/Chinese Buffet looking for high quality fare), then you might be disappointed. It is what it is.

One of the better Asian buffets in ct. The hibachi station was pretty damn good but the cook was pushy about the tip bucket. Apparently the servers are hell bent on tips too. She took my phone off the top of the check and my credit card and walked away with them to ring up the bill. I purposely placed my phone there so I could tell her I had a digital coupon. So instead of waiting for her to re-ring the bill, I took the $ 4 out of her tip. Yep, I got the evil eye walking out, but if you’re really hurting on that $ 4, maybe you should raise the price.

I really do not have one bad thing to say, This is the world’s best Chinese buffet. For all the doubters, I call you kray-zay, I’ll be stuffing my face as you all nay-say. I love Chinese buffets, and I have never had such a flawless experience as the one I had at Asian Buffet last night. The place was new, the décor was modern, and the restaurant was inviting. I was greeted at the door by a very nice host who brought us to our table. We went through all the normal buffet protocol and then we went up to check out the spread. Holy Sushi! There were about 5 types of regular sushi rolls, 5 types of sashimi, and maybe 7+ specialty rolls which included a Rainbow Roll, one that was fried, and a bunch of other ones with spicy sauce, avocado, and all kinds of unique combos. For a buffet, it was all phenomenal! Ridiculously fresh. Some of my favorite hot plates were the Hong Kong Chicken, Honey Chicken, and the Mac & Cheese(so creamy!). The buffet is set up in a large circle to allow you to just keep going around and around until you load up your plate. Because of this there were also less potential collisions with fellow buffet-ers. It was also my Dad’s birthday, and our waitress made him a nice little brownie tower and wrote out«Happy Birthday» with Sweet & Sour sauce. Very creative! I lied in my poem above. The only negatives of the night were: 1. No ice cream cones(I was jonesin’ for one) 2. No coconut ice cream(My mom’s favorite) After dinner you could shop at Burlington Coat Factory and/or Marshall’s while you digest. The buffet is also right next to a Weight Watchers(LOL). For $ 10.99 for dinner and $ 7.99 for lunch, there is no better deal in the area.

Eat here! Lunch time should be way busier for a place as good as this! Once people catch on how good this place is, it will be packed! The problem is that this huge buffet is hidden in a corner of a big plaza and not very visible from the road. They have a wide variety of Asian and Continental dishes. The food is always fresh and prepared very well for a buffet style setting. The fruit section is only average for buffets. This place can compete with some of the better Vegas buffets. With a soda and tip lunch is about $ 13 for one adult person. How can you beat that for all you can eat! They don’t only serve cheap foods like many other buffets. They also serve beer and wine. They have very reasonable pricing for kids and lots of foods kids like.

Really great buffet, IF you go at the right time(preferably whenever it’s busy like a sat. night) and the food is coming out fresh it’s really good, especially for 10.99! Nice sushi selection, & all you can eat hibachi where You personally get to choose the raw food items and give it to the cook to fry up. Love their wanton soup! Decent desert selection too and just overall a nice mix of both American and Asian comfort foods/seafood. Descent service also, my drink was refilled regularly. But do BEWARE… I’ve gone here late on a week day and got horrid dried up excuses for food that shouldn’t have even been served. & half the stuff I like was completely out and they weren’t about to refill any of the platters. So I guess timing is everything. And thats pretty much true for a lot of buffets so I just avoid going late now.

I’m not sure there’s another place in CT where you can completely engorge yourself for $ 7.99. Stopped in here today for a quick work lunch and I’m pretty sure I ate 5lbs of food, ranging from sushi to Italian meatballs. All pretty decent quality(for a buffet). They even have a guy there who will cook you up fresh hibachi upon request! Do I now have heart palpitations and indigestion? YES Was it completely worth it? ABSOLUTELY

Not bad for a Chinese buffet, they have all your standard buffet food, which I enjoyed. Nice selection of sushi, which was decent, but nothing spectacular. They offer hibachi here too which I normally like but I wouldn’t get it here again, it was just plain bland. As for dessert, not the best, though I did enjoy the green tea ice cream. Overall, not bad, I would come here again, but just the buffet selection.

I appreciate this Asian buffet’s decision to be forthright with its name: Asian Buffet is an Asian buffet. It has your standard Chinese buffet fare, what you see is what you get, and you get what you pay for. My brother and I stopped in for the first time for lunch today. We had driven past it several times since it opened and saw the many signs put up to advertise its recent opening. I wasn’t sure how well a buffet could do in a plaza where everything closes or leaves(RIP Linens ‘N Things, Old Navy, Chuck E. Cheese’s, that liquor store that lasted less than a year, etc.), but it was pretty hopping at lunchtime today. It was very nice inside, with lots of tables and a good buffet setup. There were rows of your usual Chinese buffet foods, a row of desserts and ice cream, a sushi area, and a hibachi area where you could choose your various raw meats for the hibachi chef to cook up. We decided to skip the hibachi and tried a little of everything else. Some things were pretty mediocre, and some of the fried foods were pretty greasy, but all in all, it was a fine buffet. We gorged on decent General Tso’s, fried rice, lo mein, and those little sugar donuts, and we had some sushi, which wasn’t half bad. Prices were decent at $ 7.99 for lunch and $ 10.99 for dinner, and we had a coupon from a recent mailer. It wasn’t the best lunch ever, but we were hungry when we walked in, and we left really full. Side note: This place is located right next to a Weight Watchers, which is pretty wonderful.
