Great food at a really good price! The hash is the best! Only had breakfast in but the dinner menu looked really good!

This is a cute little diner. Was here the day before for breakfast and the food was great. Came back the next day waited in a short line. The waitress seated us and already had out drinks on the table. Remembered from the day before. Now that’s service!!!

Coffee was great. The sausage has an amazing outstanding taste. Staff was attentive. Who would have thought baked beans for breakfast would be tasty.

This is our favorite breakfast spot. Other places just don’t live up to the standard set by George’s! I always intend to try something different but end up with the house special breakfast — love getting to try a little of everything. And my husband can’t get enough of their steak and eggs. All the waitstaff are friendly and do an excellent job managing the large amount of people that summer season brings. Oh and don’t get us started on the club sandwiches and onion rings — just wheel me out of the place because it’s all so amazing!!!

Everything is good. Homemade chicken fingers, homemade bread, Apple crisp pancakes, and their omelettes are massive. They also have an all you can eat fried chicken night on Mondays that is absolutely amazing.

Not a bad experience by any means, I rate this place averagely because of cleanliness. The panels above our heads were really dusty. I got the breakfast burrito which was good and the ham and cheese omelet had tons of ham in it. Over all an average experience.

This is a diner. If you want great food without frills this is it. No frufru sauces but a nice menu of good food.

Breakfast is always yummy. Been going for years. Staff is friendly, but service is slow. Not their fault though — place is so popular!

My husband and I came here while visiting a relative in town. They suggested coming and since it got 4 stars on here, we figured it would be great. It was so-so. Standard diner, standard food. No substitutions allowed on my omelet meal, and nothing really special on the menu. There were a bunch of other cute-looking places that also got 4 stars that I’d much rather go to next time.

I stopped in at George’s Diner for a Wednesday night dinner. The place was not that busy since the tourism season was over and I could sit anywhere I wanted to. I took a seat in a booth and the waitress arrived with a menu and pointed out the specials on the board. I got an ice water and decided on the All You Can Eat Spaghetti with Garlic Bread Special($ 7.99 plus tax). The food was served piping hot in under 10 minutes. The portion of spaghetti was very generous with a big pile of soft thin spaghetti topped with a homemade chunky meat sauce with chunks of tomatoes, peppers, onions, and ground beef. There was some hot drained water from straining the pasta present. The spaghetti dinner was very tasty and filling and the thick slices of garlic toast(Texas toast) were very buttery. I did request a reorder on the spaghetti, which came out on a smaller platter(still a very generous refill portion) with two slices of garlic toast. I finished the second plate of spaghetti and was very full. I ordered a slice of Key Lime Pie($ 4.99) topped with whipped cream to go. The slice of pie was small, which consisted of a creamy filling(white-condensed milk type) in a graham cracker crust. The taste of the pie was very sweet and not tart as I would’ve expected for a typical Key Lime Pie. The staff here was friendly and the service was efficient and prompt. I would return to George’s Diner again, but for breakfast next time. NOTE: Breakfast served until 2PM and ATM on site.

Good breakfast in a cozy somewhat chaotic atmosphere. It had a steady stream of customers coming and going. They also have a seasonal patio you can dine on, though we opted to eat inside. Breakfast was a good portion. Not the best I’ve ever had, but it was tasty. The service was somewhat slow. Finished our drinks and was never offered refills. Had to flag down the waitress for extra napkins and the check. It wasn’t super busy so I’m not sure as to why she wasn’t more attentive. Also, forgot to check out the specials which sounded pretty decent. Prices were great and although it wasn’t phenomenal, I would go back.

Food was eh for a diner. Service though was slow and nonsensical. Had a larger party seated after us also with children and they got faster service, kid’s crayons & paper.

Went in for lunch at 1pm. The empty tables were dirty; no one was in a rush to clean them. Our waitress didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. Beverage orders were taken and brought out at her convenience. The food was mediocre at best. The standard burger looked as if it was a frozen patty from Costco. The meatloaf was dry and old… old like days old. The fries weren’t bad… I assumed that this place had its stuff in order… I guess not. I hope I caught them on a bad day, but I have a gut feeling that this is how they operate.

Nice little find in Meredith. Quite small and very popular. Line was always out the door while we were there. The wait staff was very friendly and on point. I had red hash with a poached egg, home fries, and cinnamon raisin toast. All good except for the home fries. The HF had no flavor and my plate needed more s&p. Sons pancakes were very tasty and my wife’s French toast was delicious. Byo maple syrup as they charge $ 3 for the real stuff. All in all best breakfast in a loooooong time.

I’ve only ever been here for breakfast, so I can only speak to that end, but judging by the quality of their breakfasts, and the way they repeatedly pull in customers and keep their tables full, all their meals are probably great! The location is a bit tricky if you don’t know about it. It’s buried just off the main stretch, but there’s a free parking lot across the street, so that helps. The building/atmosphere is very basic and«hopperesque.» There’s nothing fancy about it, and the main dining room is fairly small and fills up quickly. They do have an outdoor seating option for the pleasant months, so that helps a bit. The service has always been prompt, professional, and consistent, and I’ve been here dozens of times! This is one of their strong suits. I have also enjoyed every single meal I’ve had here. They make their own toast, and serve their breakfasts with an optional side of homemade beans. I appreciate these homemade touches; it makes them stand out in my mind! Overall, a great breakfast spot… and probably for other meals too, judging by breakfast!

Read the reviews, believed them, became a raving fan. Good food for very little $$&. Great, friendly wait-staff, too. Yes, the Eggs Benedict w home fries and baked beans was out of sight.

Super friendly staff. Was shocked when the stuffed French toast was filled w fresh(not canned) ingredients. Real maple syrup! Hubby’s steak tips and turkey’s sausage were perfect. Over heard a table next to us w vry specific request and the waitress always answered w a genuine«no problem!» And a smile. We will certainly revisit.

Just came here for breakfast with the bf. You should just shut up, stop deciding between the three restaurants next to each other and go to George’s. The Eggs Bennie were glorious, perfectly runny and smothered in delicious Hollandaise(coming from an Egg Benedict snob). Sadly we didn’t get the crispy home fries, but I saw other people who did and they looked awesome. To their defense they were well seasoned. The pancakes were fluffy and heavenly with real N. E. maple syrup, the banana bread was also amazing(unless you hate walnuts, it had tons on it). Staff was friendly and service was prompt. You need to pay these guys visit. I certainly will return next time I’m in the area!
