Sage Acupuncture and Holistic Medicine

While I was in rehabilitation for 2 weeks for a brown recluse spider bite on my foot I had made mention that I wished my insurance Alliance would pay for acupuncture. Imagine my surprise when I found out that they do. This place came up when I did a google search & I was able to find reviews for Hana on the online Yellow Pages when she was located at her previous Merced office, all were 5 star. I have been in serious pain especially at night & had 2 trips to the ER last month & am out of pain medication & don’t see my new primary care doctor until March 18, 2016. I am having to use a walker & while the swelling has gone down in my foot & I do have feeling in my foot the feeling is pain, electrical shock type feeling & it feels like someone is squeezing my foot really hard, my toes were purple & curled over, the bottom of my foot felt like a crumpled up paper bag & I can’t use my foot, it only looks like it because I am using my leg & my ankle is locked into place. After just 1 session when I sat up & looked down at my foot I couldn’t believe it, my toes were no longer purple & they were plump, filled out looking & not curled over. Hana explained to me that they were not getting any blood flow. I did feel a slight feeling when she put the needles in, it was funny as when she put the 1^st one in my leg I could feel it in my foot/​toe area. Okay I will let you know this now so you do not get freaked out, she does a heating treatment & it does get HOT, she will let you know to let her know if it gets too hot which I did let her know a couple of times so do not panic. She is a very nice calming person who will go over your medical history with you so let her know exactly what is going on with you. After I got home I got started to get up & had put my foot on my mattress & could feel underneath on the pad of my foot near my toes a small patch/​area where I have feeling, it actually feels NORMAL. I made it through the night without having to go to the ER begging for pain medication. Their is still some of the squeezing sensation going on along with the other sensations that I mentioned but I could actually handle it & I noticed I was able to lay on the table flat with a small pillow under my head & knees which I have not been able to do at home as its really hard for me to get comfortable at all. I actually have HOPE now as I have had the foot x-​ray, ultrasound, MRI, cat scan & nothing wrong has shown up. I go in on March 8 for my 2^nd round, can’t wait & I will update.
