Rollen Donuts

The donuts are so good! Like when they are freshly made and glazed they are obviously delicious, but even after a couple hours they are still so so good. They are very fluffy and not too greasy like some other places. I love the cinnamon rolls and donut holes. They have really good customer service, everyone is friendly! The ham and cheese croissants are great too! I like the one with jalapeño in it, but sometimes I take no jalapeño. And when they warm it up for you it melts the cheese and that’s when it’s the best.

I live a one minute walk from Yum Yum but I still rather make the 15 minute walk to Rollen! So good and fresh. Amazingly kind staff. Will be back!

Literally the best donuts in town. I’ve been eating donuts from this place since I was a kid and was worried when Rollen sold the business that it wouldn’t be the same. Thankfully I was wrong. The owners kept the recipes the same so the donuts stayed delicious as ever, if not better. Do not waste your time going anywhere else.

The best doughnuts in the valley, period. Can not recommend this place enough. The ham and cheese filled croissant is fantastic (add jalapenos!).

I remember my grandfather picking up donuts here back in the late 60’s or early 70’s.
As far as I’m concerned they make the best donuts around. While I am aware ownership has changed, the new owners must have kept the old recipes because the donuts haven’t changed. They are still the best.

Wow! Definitely lives up to the Unilocal reviews! We are from out of town passing through & my son wanted a donut. After the reviews I was craving a ham & cheese croissant. Seems a lot of locals come here as the lady behind the counter knew a few people by name & asked how they were doing. I got to the car & bit into the ham & cheese croissant & OMG… AMAZING! She asked if I wanted it heated up before I left if I was going to eat it now & I said yes. It was buttery soft & cheesy. I had to try my sons donut of course & that was just as good. Highly recommended!

The doughnuts and croissants are always super fresh! I’ve came here super early morning and later in the day and the taste is still super fresh. I love the ham and cheese croissant. I’ve come a few times when they are fresh out the oven and OMG it is so good. The croissant is so fresh and buttery it was just so delicious. The doughnut holes and twists are really good as well.
Anything you order from the menu is going to taste amazing! There definitely isn’t a wrong choice. The owners are super sweet as well! Rollen beats out any other doughnut place in Merced hands down.

I’m enjoying my ham & cheese croissant at this very moment and WOW, I’m speechless. I swear I want a dozen more! Lol I also got doughnut holes that were soft & not too glaze, just the perfect amount. This is my go to doughnut shop, I NEVER eat doughnuts any where else! You’re missing out if over never tried this place!!! I love the owner too, she is so friendly. I’ve been going here for over 5 years. Never disappointed!!!

Definitely a treasure of merced. Best donut I have ever had! I’ve been to more than 20 donut shops. I recommend their glaze. Nothing beats this! It’s like biting into a cloud. Just amazing!

The best donut in central California without a doubt! I consider myself an expert too! Also if you get there early you just might get to see them making apple fritters… Very interesting.

Incredibly fresh and delicious doughnuts, made right in front of me and glazed as I ordered. So good. Commercial bakeries just can’t compete with the quality these small doughnut shops put out.
Tried maple bar, chocolate, and glazed. All good. Its probably a safe bet any other doughnut you order will be superb.

Best doughnuts around. We got pretty much one of every kind and I can’t complain about one of them. Customer service is short and to the point, don’t expect to much in that area. But the doughnuts are out of this world

Everyone has their own opinion on donuts, but these are the best in Merced. The maple bar is fantastic.

I was craving donuts the day after Christmas. Everywhere in Merced was literally closed! So I ended up Unilocaling for any donut shop that was open. This one popped up and I decided to drive by, hoping it would be open. Luckily it was! Located in a not to friendly neighborhood, but geez… they’re donuts are definitely worth it! I got their mix dozen donuts for about $ 12. I ordered my all time fave, crumb donuts, and a whole bunch of random ones. When I got into the car, I started eating my crumb donut. Oh geez! I gotta say that it was soft and still fresh! It literally melted in my mouth! My second donut was the same as well! I was so in love! It reminded me of one of my favorite donut shops in Redding, CA. They definitely satisfied my donut cravings that morning.
Customer service wasn’t the best, but I got in and out with my goodies and that’s all I wanted.
I will come back again if Manley’s donuts aren’t open. I am a definite fan!

We live very close to Rollens… so close we can smell donuts each morning… how’s that for tempting? Everything is delicious. I especially love the chocolate bar and croissant. The family who owns the place is super friendly. You just can’t go wrong with a visit to Rollens Donuts!

Wow! I didn’t know Merced had such good donuts. These were so warm and they melted in my mouth. Luckily we only bought a dozen, so I don’t feel that guilty. Maybe just a little.
The location of this place is a little off. If you go early, you won’t hit traffic. It’s definitely in downtown, a little bit on the sketchy area of Merced.
You’ll definitely have to give this place a chance.

Best donuts ever. The donuts here are so fresh and fluffy (assuming you get there at 5 AM). Even if you don’t their donuts are still pretty good at the end of the day. Go for the glaze donuts or the apple fritter.
The owners and workers there are also great people. They are hard workers and they do remember faces, which is always nice.

As long as you go there when they’re not sold out it’s pretty amazing. Probably one of the best donuts in Merced county.
The glazed donuts have that Krispy Kreme kind of sweetness but is very fluffy. I would highly recommend these.
