Stopped by this place at the suggestion of my girlfriend’s co-worker. I had a Carne asada burrito and it was to die for. Huge, full of flavor and will beat any taco truck in town, period. And it was only $ 5 bucks! A steal! They have everything your heart desires… pan dulce, donas, elote, hot food, candies, ice cream, on and on… try it!

Was getting my tires changed at Big O down the street and decided to talk a walk around the area. Saw this small Mexican bakery/store coming up. Upon walking by I noticed there were tables inside, at this point my next thought was Menudo? Si. There was someone in the window polishing off a bowl. I popped inside and wandered around the market which had a ton of Mexican speciality items, which is good to know if you want authentic items. They had their fresh baked goods in the back which smelt amazing. OK back to where I was. I wondered up the to counter and ordered a bowl of menudo. They had three sizes, not thinking about the breakfast I just ate I ordered a large. They ask if you want corn or flour tortillas. I asked for flour. In a couple of minutes it came out. This massive bowl of menudo, 3 flour tortillas in a tortilla warmer, and a plate filled with onions, cilantro, half a lime, dried chilis, and a cup of the only thing I can say is menudo seasoning. It was delicious. I immediately texted all my friends in the area to ask if they’ve been here. We’re planning on rolling through soon. Side note: everyone was super friendly and welcoming of a tall white boy ordering menudo :)

Smaller taqeruia /Mexican bakery. The baked goods are a good size at a fair price good selection to choose from. The burritos are enormous. Meat is seasoned well and they are stuffed to the max with everything. They have a large selection of items in the menu and an outdoor seating area to eat at.

The fresh bread is the best. It’s great bread for hot chocolate or cajeta. Just try your best to pronounced as best as you can ‘teleras’ and they will know what you want. Trust me, you want it. Every time I visit my family in town I go here. Go at 8 when they open and get the bread hot!

This is my favorite panaderia. I love their ice cream, mangoniadas, and their tamales, yumm! They also custom make cakes, sell tacos and other mexican goodies like tostilocos and diablitos :)

I will say the mangoneadas are great, however the fruit bowl lacks flavor. The lady didn’t want to help me because I wasn’t of her same descent. Usually a fruit bowl comes with juicy fresh fruit, Tajin, lemon juice, & chamoy. However she just slapped the fruit bowl together with only chamoy & tajin. I also got a cream cheese and jalapeño bolillo that has curdled an old cream cheese in which I got very sick from. Point is I won’t be returning to this location.

This place is a classic panadería and more!!! It’s classic because you have your pan dulces. However, this panadería is especial because of their frozen deserts options. The best of is which are the mangonadas. If you have not had a mangonada, no amount of words can explain the the psychedelic trip your taste buds undergo as they taste authentic pan dulce and savory mangonadas. What are you doing still reading this?!! Go get yourself a mangonada!!! (Just make sure you bring someone along because there is no way humanly possible someone can finish one of these mangonadas by themslelves.)

This place serves amazing Mangoniadas! It is also a local sweet bread bakery and local market that sells authentic mexican products and food. My husband liked their quesadillas and asada fries, I would not recommend their corn tamales though. Their customer service could also be better. Overall, their Mangoniadas are worth the visit.

Good place to go if you want some mangolados in merced and dont want to go to the flea market. Bread is good but food is a hit or miss depending when they make it since it’s not always fresh.

Have mangonada cravings while in Merced? Stop by here! Not the best that I’ve had from the Bay Area to SoCal but certainly good enough. I would prefer bigger chunks of mangos but still good overall. Service is nice and quick. Not in a busy place of town and parking is easy.

The food here is very authentic, no Rosarita beans here! Super fresh and the salsa is spicy but amazing. I had the Carne Asada Sopes, AWESOME. And I was looking at their Tres Leche cakes; when my birthday comes around I’m definitely getting one of those cakes, mouth drolling!

Went here for the first time and bought 5 pumpkin empanadas and one conch a and WOW absolutely delicious! I will definitely be going back! I like that their conchas are super fluffy and soft! And they’re white on the inside unlike other panaderias where their bread is yellow on the inside from using so much egg! This is officially my spot for Mexican bread!

They’re awesome. You have to try their mangoniada it’s so good, I get or with mango ice cream and extra mango, yumm. Also their banana split is good, their icereams are a traditional Mexican made type so don’t expect a foster freeze tasting one, it’s different in a good way. Very sweet and delicious I like to have everything on it, nuts, pineapple, cherries,

Best bakery in Merced! The pastry’s are fresh & delicious. We buy all of our children’s birthday cakes here. They are less than half the price of other bakeries in town and twice as good. People are always asking where we get the cakes. We bought our wedding cake here, two tiered for less than $ 50. Everyone raved about the cake and we now have family who call and ask us to bring cakes from here to their events. Highly recommend this bakery.

This place has excellent ‘Pan Dulce’, and rivals any bakery around. The bread and pastries here have a rich flavor and are of high quality. Try the Bolillos in the morning when they are fresh out of the oven still warm.

What a gem of a bakery. Delicious fresh pastries at all times and prices are oh so good. Lots of delicious flavors and a great selection. After 3PM, rumor has it, they place some breads on discount for $ 1 a bag. I have yet to scratch the surface with this place. They also sell lots of party accessories, groceries, a million and one drinks and so much more. I’m pretty sure there’s like a mini travel agency in the corner but I could be wrong LoL. Protip. Come in during lunch and you can strike up a conversation with the cute ladies across the street that come in from the beauty college whaaaaat! =)

Best pan and tamales in Merced! Yes, it’s a bit more pricey than the panaderia on the corner of 16th and G Streets, but SO worth it. All the bread is fresh, hot, and delicious. The tamales are awesome(sorry wella, but these are better than yours…).
