Just stumbled upon this place a few weeks ago. Has it always been here?
Stopped in for two tacos last night. One Pollo, one Carne asada. The chicken definitely won the flavor battle. Loved the avacado, Sour cream and cheese for no extra charge. Can’t beat $ 4.

Wow. I might have a new favorite.
First, never underestimate the power of a properly toasted tortilla. Excellent color and texture. That steaming mess is for the birds.
Big points for properly melted cheese.. Just the right amount of spice too. I usually ask for sides of salsa and was wondering why they didn’t have any out. Then I ate it and knew why. No need for it.
Props for using avacado and not guacamole. I love it, but not on my burrito. Points for a proper roll that doesn’t fall out the bottom.
Cons: chicken was good but there was a little too much seasoning for my taste. Also had a big chunk of gristle, but I can’t fault them for that. They cooked it in clarified butter. Next time I’ll probably ask for it modified if possible. Also, not enough Sour cream. Especially for 8 bucks. Somewhat limited drink selection. The onions and pepper and lime are nice, but I love me some pickled carrots.
Overall, one of the best burritos I’ve had in Merced and in general.

Have been eating Los Reyes food for years and LOVE it. They have a spot at both local flea markets and I always craved there tacos and this is why I was so happy when they opened there restaurant. Ask for the house made tortillas!

Excellent tacos here. Everything tastes fresh not greasy, and is made to order. I like the chicken, asada, and carnitas tacos with homemade tortillas.
Worth the extra money and wait.
At night they have awesome churros, try them!

Great food! Everything is cooked fresh to order and the grilled onions on the side are delicious. Portion sizes are generous. I had the tacos al pastor and the meat was perfectly done and very flavorful. My kids devoured their beans/​cheese/​rice burritos and the horchata we shared was great, not too sweet like some places. Décor is minimal, but the place is clean and the customer service is excellent.

Love love this place. So good. They season the meat to perfection. They cook your meat as you order. & offer grilled onions & jalapeños on the side.
