For years I have been furniture shopping in Mentor and I make the usual round from Levins, too lazy boy, maybe over to Value City and I always end up back at pummels furniture. The owner, Roberta, is on site nearly all the time. I told her that I went to Levins to look at Flexsteel furniture and I found out from her that all of the furniture made by Flexsteel at Levins is Chinese made. All of the flex seal that she carries is American made. She has intimate knowledge of the manufacturers, every piece she has in the showroom, where it comes from how it’s made and the history of each company.
In particular I was looking for a recliner today. She actually took the time to sign me in a recliner that would be appropriate for my body. One client recliner in particular made by Flexsteel was a model called Hercules or something like that. However she had a nickname for it called big ugly. Ordinarily you wouldn’t hear a proprietor called any of her floor furniture ugly but she said and I quote for some reason all the man go to that particular recliner I am its just not my style but I sell a lot of them. What I admire from her is her honesty that even though I found the chair very comfortable and it is a power recliner she knew the construction materials she knew the fabrics she know the price is she do the delivery dates and times and I was able to choose my own fabric. Will correct that my wife was able to choose the fabric for me I was not allowed to choose my own fabric! We chose to pay upon delivery and it will take about a month to get this recliner. If you are a type of person who wants to buy and take it home with you she will sell you pretty much any piece of furniture off the floor. I highly recommend this furniture store for anyone who wants a quality piece of furniture at a fair price.
