Great sushi, clean environment, friendly and attentive staff. I’ll be back! I had never been here before and a friend suggested it. We usually go to another sushi place but we have noticed they have started to cut corners and food is not as presentable as it used to be so we tried Ninja. Ninja is a great sushi place. We sat at the bar. It’s neat to watch the sushi chefs work and to see all the kinds of fish we can get.

This place was awesome. So much fun. Good drinks and the entertainment with the Hibachi staff was just awesome. We had the best time and would take friends and relatives with us next time. A must! Very good food too.

This place rocks. Their food is always fresh and the service is very friendly. It is now our go to place whenever we are in the sushi mood. Their non-sushi dishes are also very yummy!

Went here on September 3rd. It was a Thursday night and a school night. My eight year old wanted to come here because when we came on his brothers 10th bday his brother received a free Tshirt. Mind you we’ve frequented this establishment many times since it has opened.(All for hibachi). I’ve brought and recommended many, many people to this restaurant. Generally the service has been mediocre to poor. However I don’t blame the servers for this as they really give their best effort. The problem is management and their clear lack of training to all the staff. For the food I probably rate this as a 3 star establishment. They use decent quality ingredients. But really this place will go out of business because of the horrible management. When we requested the free Tshirt for my poor 8 year old boy first the server then the manager said«no not without a birth certificate» Who brings their kids birth certificate out to dinner? Who takes their eight year old out to dinner on a weeknight past 7pm unless it’s a special occasion? I pleaded with the female manager and she absolutely refused. Really? I told the manager that«well I’m not coming back here then». She said«good». Really? You are going to lose a customer and ruin an 8 year olds bday over a t shirt that costs less than 6 dollars? Clueless. I haven’t gone back since and I would recommend everyone to not goto this place. What kind of person makes an 8 year old cry on their birthday?

One of the best sushi restaurants I’ve had the pleasure to eat at, in the Midwest. The service is impeccable and the food is excellent, with all the decoration and attention to detail you would expect.

Mixed review… very fresh n flavorful sushi n sashimi. Pretty presentation. Quick friendly service. Miso soup could have been warmer, salad overdressed and slightly wilted, seemed like it had been in fridge for a while. Servers a bit green.

A girlfriend of mine and I stopped in for a couple rolls before she left state — Although I have a Ninja in West Bend, this was closer for her. This was my first time at the Falls location and they did not disappoint! Our rolls were awesome! The service was practically perfect. It wasn’t terribly busy and the server didn’t hover. I will be sure to recommend this location. My only complaint would be the salty looking bar tender that kind of just scoffed at us when we came in — I’ll just chalk it up to maybe they were having a bad day. =}

After reading the reviews, I was really excited to try this place. Not so impressed. My parents got the hibachi, and I got the sushi. First, my dad asked if there was green onions in the rice because he is allergic. The server said no. When the chef stated cooking, there were green onions on top ready to be mixed in. Luckily I caught it and asked if he could have a side without. The chef have us attitude and did it, but told us no substitutions. We told him we asked the server if there was any before we ordered and the chef didn’t care. My sushi was not very fresh or good. I never leave leftover sushi on my plate, but I did here.

Mark G. and I came to Ninja for our anniversary, based on the recommendation of Joanna T. and Brian M. We went all-out and got the Love Boat for 2, which according to Ninja’s online menu, consists of 14 pieces of sushi, 14 pieces of sashimi, 1 spicy tuna roll, 1 rainbow roll &1 shrimp tempura roll. I don’t know if all that’s true(I can’t remember because there was SOMUCH food!), but I do know that it was filling and delicious. I should note that the meal started with a bowl of clear soup and a salad. I didn’t eat the salad and the soup was decent. The main course came on, well, a boat! It took up most of the middle of the table and was a feast, both for the stomach AND the eyes! It was overwhelming(in a good way) because we didn’t know where to start and we didn’t want to mess up the beauty of it! I’m one of those people that over think things like food. What if I try A, and it is so good that I eat all of it, then I move on to B and it isn’t so good. Then I regret that I ate A and don’t really enjoy the rest of the meal. That didn’t happen here. I played it smart and tried one of everything, then circled back and ate in order of liked to loved. There was octopus on the boat, which I wasn’t expecting, but which I happily ate. I found that I preferred the tuna to the salmon, too. There was nothing wrong with the salmon, just a personal preference. As for drinks, Mark had a Hokkaido Sake Martini which was gin, sake and triple sec, followed by a beer. His cocktail wasn’t horrible, but it’s not a drink for me. I like sweet drinks, so I ordered the Happy Buddha, which was Pama liqueur, Malibu rum, pineapple juice, grenadine and a splash of Sprite. My second drink was the Hawaiian Marilyn: Absolut vodka, pineapple juice, sprite and a splash of strawberry purée mix. Both were very tropical and, I thought, a nice compliment to the fish. I was extremely stuffed by this point. Like Violet Beauregard from Willie Wonka, I felt I needed to be rolled out of the restaurant. Our server, Nicky, approached us and wanted to comp a dessert for us(I’ll just say that it’s all in who you know :)) and we opted for the strawberry mochi. It was more flavorful than any mochi I’ve had before, and beautifully plated. Sure, this is a bit of a drive, but for fish this fresh? Totally worth it! 93÷2015÷188

Ninja is a full range Japanese restaurant that has consistently good quality across the full range of its menu. The sushi is always good and fresh. The basic rolls, nigiri and sashimi are always excellent and the speciality rolls are inventive and good. The teriyaki and tempura items from the kitchen are also well done and both the beef and chicken teriyaki are delicious. Finally, the hibachi grill is standard but again executed very well. Ninja also sports a full bar. I enjoy the selection of sakes or, if it’s lunch, I really like the Ramune Japanese sodas. I recommend Ninja for the whole family!

Whoa. Where in the heck was this place when I was growing up? Had Ninja existed when I was an angst-ridden suburban teen, I surely would have fallen in love with sushi much earlier. Oh well. As it stands, I now have a great go-to spot for lunch or dinner after visiting my folks or L’s grandma. This is fantastic, fantastic news. (I think I’d even make the pilgrimage back to Pilgrim just for this fish. My god.) A quick rundown: The fish is FRESH. The rolls are GOOD. Really good. Great, even. We split three: the Philly, the«Hot Lover»(lolz) and the Crazy Roll, the last two per Joanna T’s suggestions. Boy howdy, she was right. They were all fantastic, and we were absolutely stuffed after the fact. $ 38 for three rolls and two green teas… not too bad given the size and quality of the maki. The service was almost overly-friendly and on point, probably just because they weren’t terribly busy. One visit, five stars, that good. I can’t wait to try more and expound after a few more visits!

Our group went for the hibachi. We had a bigger group so we were seated in a separate room. It was a bit cold at first because they don’t use the space as much. I wished they heated it up before we came, but that quickly changed when we the grill was turned on. The cook was funny. He was the same guy we had the last time, but he didn’t use the same jokes. Also, he didn’t force himself on us when we were all conversing. This we liked. The food was good. The meals come with soup and salad with ginger dressing. I love that dressing! Then my hubby and I had the Lover for 2 meal which had filet mignon, chicken, shrimp, and lobster. It is a big portion of food. I couldn’t even finish it. I would like to come back and try the sushi though.

An unlikely good sushi restaurant in a shopping center/strip type location, we were pleasantly surprised by our first experience at Ninja. The space has a cool feel to it and is very welcoming. We were greeted warmly by a hostess and quickly seated in the dining room tonight, Tuesday night, 1÷6÷2015. Our server, David, couldn’t have been nicer, friendlier or more efficient. Before I committed to eating sushi/sashimi, I decided to do a taste test, ordering just a(two piece) order of Yellowtail, a good(fish) test, for me, to decide whether I should proceed with ordering sushi, or another choice found on Japanese restaurant menus. Decision: AOK and proceed with more sashimi. Cheryl ordered the Teriyaki Shrimp dinner(As she says, she doesn’t «…eat bait»). She was happy with the dish. I ordered the«Tri Color Sashimi» dinner. It came with four slices each, of Tuna, Salmon and(more) Yellowtail. It was good and reasonably priced, too($ 22.50). Dinners were preceded by a simple Japanese style salad(head lettuce) and Miso soup. The salad was good. The miso soup was salty and left by both of us. My only beef with Ninja is that I apparently, made the mistake of ordering a Dewars rocks as a cocktail. Dewars isn’t exactly a high end or an expensive scotch; i. e, it is one step up from a well/rail, or in some places, it IS the well/rail house scotch. There are several other common«older» blended Scotches and, of course, single malt scotches that are quite a bit more expensive. Having said that, Dewars on the rocks was $ 10.00.(What are they charging for a Single Malt or eighteen year old blend, $ 15.00? $ 20.00?) Adding insult to injury, it was poured in a thimble of a «rocks» glass, full of ice. Two sips it was gone. Not knowing any better at the time, I ordered a second one before our waiter David even left the area after delivering my first drink. IMHO, Ninja sushi/sashimi is a cut above what I’ve eaten, thus far, in the few Milwaukee sushi Japanese restaurants I’ve eaten at. However, keepin’ it real, the sushi(grade) fish used at Ninja and the other MKE sushi restaurants in MKE can’t compare to the quality/flavor/freshness of restaurants in Los Angeles that I have/do frequent. In comparison to other Sushi restaurants in Milwaukee, I rate the sushi(and the restaurant) four stars. [The cocktail/pour and the pricing of the errant Scotch, zero stars].

Since my original review just over a year ago I’ve been to Ninja FORTYTWO times. FORTYTWO, people. That equates to a visit about every 9.5 days. There’s a reason we’re here almost every week — after eating at just about every sushi place in the metro area, Ninja is hands down our favorite. Here’s why: *Gorgeous, creative plating. See my(many) photos for examples — it often looks too good to eat, until you dig in. *Absolutely fresh fish. I’ve never had an «off» tasting piece or anything that smelled fishy, even after 42 visits. *Great specialty rolls — my favorites are the Crazy Roll, Hot Lover, Mind Eraser, Mountain and Crazy Tuna rolls. They may not be «authentic Japnese» but they’re constructed with care — good sized without being too big and they don’t fall apart on you. *Good variety and value on the sushi dinners. The Love Boats are a literal mountain of food. *Reasonable alcohol pricing — a large house sake for $ 8, with a reduction to $ 6 before 6pm? Yes please! *Friendly service. We’ve gotten to know most of the staff pretty well by now and they’re unfailingly delighful. *If you’re feeling adventurous, ask Sushi Sensai Leo to whip you up something special — he’s very creative and the end result will be delicious! You might be leery of trying a sushi place in Menomonee Falls that’s located next to a Walmart grocery store — I was at first. But Ninja delivers the goods, consistently — I pretty much love everything about the place. Looking forward to visit #43 in short order!

Give me a Hot Lover roll now and nobody gets hurt. I don’t care how out of context that ever gets taken, if it ends up with me eating that delicious spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, avocado and spicy mayo concoction, it’s totally worth it. Newish to sushi when Brian and Joanna first introduced me to this place, it’s kind of ruined me for other local sushi joints. They don’t live up and I just end up wishing I’d have held out and made the trek to the Falls. The pepper tuna app is a work of art, but then you dig in and mess it all up and feel a little guilty but it’s so tasty you don’t even care. The staff is so nice, the plating is always superb and we literally spent multiple minutes last time waxing poetic over the gorgeousness of the fish on Andy and Brian’s shared Love Boat(though that could have had something to do with the sake). Sure, don’t get on 45N at 5 pm, because that’s just always a bad idea, but otherwise this is just a short little ride and so totally worth it.

I came on a Sunday and they had no lunch specials. A meal for 2 cost $ 50 which is expensive. I will only come on Mon-Sat from now on. Our waitress provided great service. Her English was horrible, like REALLYBAD, but she really did her best. She would check if we had enough water, check if we liked our food. A for effort. The sushi was not bad. We had some sushi with mango on top and omg, I think they put mango sauce on top of the mango. You will probably get diabetes from eating this sushi. The mango sauce overpowered the shrimp tempura. We also got the terriyaki chicken, which kinda sucked. It seemed like they cooked the chicken, then dumped a whole lot of overly sweet terriyaki sauce on top. I may not be back.

A second Sushi restaurant joins the falls on Pilgrim & Main. The décor is casual, but clean and looks like as new as it is. If they keep it this way along with good food the restaurant will do well. The fish here is quite good, not coastal, but very good especially for the area. I can’t decide if I prefer Ninja or Sakura, but both crush Samurai(the old guard in the area). Lunch is typically busy, and service sometimes struggles to keep up, but the specials are a great value. They’ve added some out door seating, which would be nicer if it wasn’t right on the corner of a fairly busy intersection(sound). Dinner here is something I always enjoy. Again service is average and needs a boost on the restaurant side and then this place would be great. They have hibachi tables behind the bar and that part of the restaurant can get pretty boisterous at night. I haven’t tried that side yet, but will update the rating when I do.

I was pretty harsh when I reviewed Samurai I should use it standard as far as judging this place as well. I’m used to ordering a large boat for 4. Typically a boat for four should have 4 pieces of everything, Even octopus. People from South Florida have many fresh fish places to go. The prices for a big boat meal is very inexpensive usually around $ 65. so I had a little sticker shock. For the $ 100 Ninja boat Considering this place has no competition around them for seafood and sushi, it was very very good, I am a fan. F 5 very good quality, taste. A 5 well decorated ambiance. S 4 slightly above avg friendly service I spilled soy sauce on myself it’s ok. I like soys sauce. L 5 plenty of parking. V 5 portions could be a little larger for what you pay. Still a good value. 48⁄2014
