I have never had someone ask me how many slices of bacon I wanted in a bagel. But $ 1.50 for one slice is a bit hefty. The store was pretty much empty around 12PM. Customer service is very poor. I’d much rather visit other cafes down the street for a bagel.

Be weary of the greedy Asian man, who overcharges for your bagels. I have been coming here practically every Saturdays ordering exactly the same thing for about a year. I decided to keep the receipt to double check on the price as the price seem a bit high, even for Menlo Park. When I compared both of the receipts for the same order, the price was different. I went to ask him on the price different on the same order and he said that the charge difference was between a gourmet bagel and a plain bagel. If that is the case it should be gourmet bagel — regular bagel = the price difference. And it wasn’t.

The person working handled my money, they went straight to touch my bagel and threw it into the toaster. They’re not sanitary at all. Also, the people working were extremely rude.

Parking down the street. Awkward. The guy at the cashier told me to go back and choose my bagel instead of just getting me what I wanted to order. Good bagels but the guy should have just taken my order.

Been coming in every Saturday morning for 3 months and they don’t treat us like familiar customers. I was okay with the poor service because the bagels were tasty. However, last time we had a very bad experience. We ordered 2 cinnamon buns and they tasted like they were made days ago(SOSTALE). Gave them back to the woman who helped us and she just took them, no refund, no credit, no replacement… just a dirty look. Anyways, good bagels can’t justify us coming back. With customer service this poor, we’re going to be looking for a new regular spot.

Been repeat customer for five years but just can’t take it any longer due to horrible service. This is the most unfriendly restaurant in the area and shocking that this attitude is acceptable to some.

Extremely rude people. Min 5 $ for cards. Got a bagel for 2.99 $ and they refused to accept card and ask me to buy something for 5 $. Not even a apology. Never going to this place again!

If I could give 0 stars I would!!! Someone needs to regulate the prices on this store. 3 bagels 2 kids apple juice 27.50??? Not even Noah’s bagels would have been this expensive. DONOTCOMEHERE!

The owners are very kind and polite. The bagels are amazing, she brought it over a few times to our preschool. Very nice lady, you can just see that she enjoys doing what she does, and it definitely shows in the quality of their bagels and how neat the business is kept. This is definitely a better alternative to the Noah’s Bagels franchise, though Noah’s aren’t typically bad themselves. Posh is just less about marginalizing profits and more of a mom and pop bagel shop that emphasizes quality.

The service is a LITTLE more attentive now, so one more star. I still shop here reluctantly. I consider the businesses where I shop as part of my community and I just hate being treated like a total stranger every time I visit a place that I go to every week. The bagels are nicely made though. They have a good selection of beverages too.

The owner was very rude during my visit last weekend. He asked if I had paid for the bagel and held the bag until I said that I did. The bagels don’t even compare to House of Bagels in Palo Alto. Very rude and I’ll drive from Menlo Park to Palo Alto for way better service and better bagels

Maybe it’s because it’s a summer afternoon or maybe it’s because it’s after the peak lunch hours, but the customers here are very patient. Service is slow here, but nobody seems to mind! I waited in line to simply order a bagel, and I waited yet again to pay. The two people ahead of me seemed to know the older gentleman who was the cashier, so I didn’t loose my patience since I have an appreciation for small business owners who know their customers. I can’t really comment on the food, since I just got a bagel. Besides slow(but friendly) customer service, I would suggest that this place take some time to wipe down their tables. I realize this is all self serve and people are to bus their own tables, but I think it would clean up the atmosphere if they took some time(like we’ll run coffee shops do) to simply wipe down the tables, especially after a lunch crowd has died down. Otherwise you have customers like me – wanting to sit somewhere for a few hours with a book, a bagel, and a coffee — and seeing nothing but dirty tables as options. Located in downtown Menlo Park, this is a great location. Busy place!

This is my Go To place for a simple lunch. Their Sandwich Portion is a lovely size and I love their spread selection & bagels. It’s often busy, but I always find a seat. When I order I never had to wait more then 5 mins when making my food. I also like their drink selections :)

Hmm, don’t know what to make of this place. Bagels were alright – how can you mess up a bagel, anyway? I had the gourmet cranberry bagel which was nice and tasty. Sweet and perfect texture for me. The others had a sesame seed, poppy seed, chocolate chip, and a chocolate croissant. Their eggwich bagels are good for the price. Nice, thick scrambled eggs. The low rating goes to the service. I know we had about 10+ people but what we did was write down on a piece of paper our orders and how many. Clear as day. What do they do? They selectively pick the bagels. We were missing 5 bagels altogether WITHTHEPAPER. It baffles me how they mess that up.

I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese to go. She gave me my order and told me it was a bacon egg and cheese. I;m not so picky, so I took it and left. When I got to work and sat down to eat, it was just egg and a little cheese. No bacon, no sausage. Coffee was watery, but cold drink selection is good.

Who are these one star people? OK, so it’s not a New York bagel. Are you going to drag yourself down to Izzy’s to get the Bay’s closest simulacrum to a New York bagel? I’m sure not. These bagels are completely acceptable if you can manage to get over yourself. They do two types of Everything, which is great. Good variety of cream cheeses and sandwich fillings. Prices on lox are reasonable. I like that they’ve got hardboiled eggs and other breakfast items. They serve surprisingly nice coffee — try the hazelnut. This is also the only place in Menlo Park to get bubble tea, so there’s at least a full star in here for that. I’ve only ever had good service here. Yes, sometimes it’s a little hard to get your order straight with the front counter ladies, but they only ever seem eager to please. They’re immigrants, so cut them a break on their English, you snobs.

Decent bagels, but their card minimum is $ 5, which is wack because I don’t want to spend $ 5 at the bagel store just because I don’t have cash. It’s 2014, people may want to use a credit card.

I’ve been here for a bagel sandwich and it was great. Thumps up. Recently, I stopped in for some milk tea as they are the only place that offers it in that area. They do not have a mixer to properly mix their flavors so their milk tea has clumps for mix in it. Thumps down.

As if its not enough to get hit with bank fees and other corporate crap, Posh Bagel is now charging people extra to slice their bagels for them. And then telling them after the fact. Hey what’s that on my bill. «That is our slicing fee.» Time to find a new bagel joint. Maybe I’ll give up the fattening stuff all together.
