Yup. The bad reviews are all TRUE. Bad cut. Unclean facility. Apathetic(at best) staff. They do not provide you with a clean bib. Mine was laying strewn on the chair from the last person. Hair was all over the floor and the woman was using instruments from a drawer labled «Soiled». I was going from a long to short cut and my stylist said«I’ve never heard of such a thing». She did basically a bowl cut in about 4 mins. I asked if she could shape/layer it and she said(with attitude) «I did what I thought was right if you don’t like it, fine, I guess we do it your way.» I actually wanted it shorter then she was to willing cut but figured I would cut my losses and get out. She insisted on a tip before letting me out the door. It was cheap $ 17.00.

Terrible place. Avoid if you care about your hair cut. Probably the fastest and worst hair cut I’ve had in years. I don’t know if the girl cutting my hair was even licensed. She asked how I like it. I told her. Then she just did whatever she felt. I was the first patron they had all day when I walked in at noon. That should have been a sign to U-turn. Learn from my mistake. Avoid this place. Other reviews confirm: –They speed through. –Have no attention to detail. –Cut your hair however they feel.

Wow! I didnt have high expectations for Supercuts. First the guy was like he was in a rush. Did my haircut in less than 5 minutes! Second when I was paying he was looking over my shoulder to see how much tip I pay. I usually tip $ 5. But for this rude behavior I decided to not tip. After this he became even more rude and didn’t answer when I said thank you and have a nice day!

I have never had a faster haircut — but you can’t be good if you’re too fast. Today I experienced my first and last time at this place. The hair cutter(not willing to call him a stylist) had me in the chair for 10min no longer. My cut is uneven and I couldn’t explain that to him, he kep telling me «It will be better after you take a shower.» he said. Pshh, after that I knew this place was a sham. I shall stick to cutting my own hair. To be fair and bluntly honest, I’ve never actually had a good hair cut from supercuts, it’s cheap and too quick for them to catch all the details.

The woman who cut my hair butchered it. She reshaped my hairline on one side of my head, but didn’t do the same on the other side(it didn’t need to be touched at all). I asked for a trim, and she cut off inches, and I’m practically bald now. I will never go back to another Supercuts for a hair cut.

I had my bangs trimmed on a Friday night by a male stylist. He used shears followed by thinning shears after i told him i wear my bangs to the side. Now my bangs are at least 10 different lengths and there is no way for me to wear it the way i like it. Worst bang cut ever!

Took my two boys to Supercuts this morning as our normal person at Golden Sheers was not available, my bad for not booking sooner. Unfortunately lesson learned the hard way. An Asian gentleman took my first son. I told him i did not want it too short, just trimmed and evened out. He took out the electric razor and started taking length off the back, but there was still length on the top. I then told him it was getting too short and we did not want it short. He literally waved his hand at me to dismiss me. He kept cutting and I mentioned it again, but by now it was too late. He then asked what I thought. Really? I told him it was too short. He looked at me surprised. I told him I asked you twice to not cut it short, it is too short. He clearly did not care and moved on to the next customer. The lady who cut my other sons hair had heard the conversation so was cautious and did an okay job on my other son. He would be negative stars and I would give her two, so settled on one.

I have been getting my hair cut here on and off for a few years and have always been pleased with the results. There is usually little to no wait time and they get the haircut done pretty quickly. The staff is always friendly. On my last visit I was very happy with my haircut and overheard several other customers saying the same when they finished. I have almost always seen men here, so I’m not sure how it is for women. For men with simple cuts its a good place.

I should have read the other reviews before going it, but I figured I have very short hair, how bad can it be? I’ll just say I felt treated more kindly when I went to the Army. That should give an idea.

The staff here seems nice. They get the job done well considering the price etc. I am surprised by the other reviews. For $ 17 I’m quite happy. My son also gets his cuts here and they do a great job. Considering what the snobby kids haircut places charge to rich and ignorant Silicon Valley parents this place gets 5 stars. If your daughter needs a critical haircut done and you fear an error being made go and pay $ 90 at Juut.

[I would give this place a negative rating if I could.] I had mid-length hair with layers and wanted something different. Went in and asked for a lob. The hairstylist said ok and then just trimmed 2 inches and gave me layers(essentially, the same haircut but shorter). She said I didn’t know what I wanted and that I should just keep my hair style as is. I didn’t do anything about it and paid and left. I went to a different Supercuts location and got the haircut I wanted. I’m never returning to this salon ever again(and horrible to say, but it would be good news if this placed closed down). But whatever. Honestly, if you have anything that’s not thin, straight hair, go to another location. My sister(who has thin, straight hair) is always happy about her haircuts whenever she visits this place. The workers at this location seem to have very limited skills.

Horrible experience! My teenage daughter asked to have her hair trimmed 4 inches. Sally, the«stylist» cut nearly twice that. My daughter was in tears, so I went to the salon and was told that only 4 inches had been cut. I asked to see the cut hair, and it measured 7 inches.(The salon does not even own a ruler.) The worst part was that Sally refused to acknowledge that she made a mistake, and only grudgingly agreed to refund my daughter’s money. The cut was straight, but don’t go to SuperCuts if you expect a stylist to actually listen to what you want in a cut.

From all the reviews, it seems that this place is hit or miss, or maybe there are just a lot of haters in Menlo Park. I’ve been here six times, and had a different stylist each time. I get a short scissor cut since I don’t care for the buzz of the electric. Each time they have done a great job, and they are friendly and considerate to boot. Knowing the work of six of them now, my opinion is that there are just a lot of haters, or competitors with hurt feelings out there.

This was the worst haircut experience I’ve ever had. I know you get what you pay for, but this was really WAYLESS than I paid for and I only paid like $ 15… The haircut lasted less than 120 seconds: I sat down, the stylist took a paid of scisssors straight across the ends of my hair. Then as I was leaving the guy kept giving me instructions about how to tip and reminding me to tip… seriosuly? I always tip but after you spend 10 seconds on my hair, it’s kind of absurd to spend twice as much time hounding me about a tip.

Stay away! My friend and I went for haircuts today, not quite certain what we wanted to do. The stylists we each were with started off ok. They quickly became impatient and rude. Even with no one waiting, they kept saying we were holding up other clients. We spent about 30 – 45 minutes there with little to show for it. They hardly listened to any of our directions when we did give them. We finally gave up and grew tired of getting little out of the experience. They have no books or magazines to look through for ideas, their idea of a hair tie is an office supply rubber band. It is also obvious they either don’t know or don’t care about running the register. They would rather have you pay in cash than in card. I tried to pay by card and later had to go check to see i wasn’t over charged by them. Never going back.

I used to go to this place for a quick trim and I never had problems, but my friends always told me they heard of bad experiences. Sure enough it was my turn last week. The guy didn’t know how to trim hair and I kept telling him what to do. He didn’t cut almost anything and I didn’t like it. On top of it he yelled at me when I complained. I will never go back there again and don’t ever try to do anything with a Korean guy who wear glasses. He was the worse professional I ever seen!

$ 17 is the cheapest haircut I can find around. Everyone else wants $ 24 and up for a regular barbershop style cut. I’d rather go somewhere cheaper and tip more, but maybe that’s just me. Maybe it was because I was just looking for a regular ol’ haircut, but she was fast, fast, fast and spot on with what I wanted.

WARNING: Staff intimidate customers. After my 8 minute hair cut session, which did not mean my expectations and came with a price tag of $ 17 bucks, the barber walked me to the register. After swiping my card, the barber walks around the desk and begins monitoring my activity on the signature and payment screen to see how much I planned to tip him. This was a very freaky and disturbing behavior, which I believed negated any tip I as planning on giving him. After I finalized the payment without a tip, the barber tell me, «you forgot to add tip, do you have cash?» I cannot believe I was being coerced for a tip. Very unpleasant.

I’ve been going here for 10 years and I have had a mixed bag of results. I have had my hair cut by Trang, Julie, a taller man(probably Steven, he must be the owner since he’s been there forever) and a shorter dude. First the good: Julie — she’s awesome. If you want a $ 50 haircut for under $ 20, just ask when Julie is working. She’s awesome and takes her time. I generally only go when Julie is working, but if she’s busy the taller guy(again, probably Steven) is pretty good in his own right. And then the bad: Trang is awful. She used to work a lot more and when I was a kid I would dread getting her, which I always did, because she doesn’t know what she’s doing. And the worst: I have no idea what his name is, but he is the shortest guy that works there — f****** TERRIBLE. If he is the only person working, leave right away. He knows full well what he’s doing, but just doesn’t give a **** if he does a good job. He would look away as he was cutting my hair and when I asked for a trim, but to keep the same shape of my hair he did 2 curious things: 1) used a razor/trimmer for every area of my hair other than the top instead of cutting it with scissors and 2) shaved off my entire sideburn — one was shaved straight and the other diagonal. The haircut was done in 90 seconds flat and it looked awful, he just wanted to get his work done and get the heck out of there. This guy is absolute trash. 5 stars for Julie, –3 for almost everyone else. Save yourself some agony and ask for Julie, my only bad experiences the past five years have been when I don’t request her.

I’ve taken my son here several times and am pleased. He has gotten the same haircut since he was a toddler — 2 guard fade, finger-length on top. You wouldn’t believe how many people have messed up his fade in the past. Every single time here, the various stylists have gotten it right. The only annoying thing is when the dance studio next door blasts the thumping music and it vibrates the whole place. Ok, it’s not the most updated and fancy place — but the prices are very reasonable, the people are friendly and they cut hair the way we like it. Enough said.
