I have been going to Dwight for 30 years and he does a fantastic job on my hair. I have received countless compliments and his cuts make my hair easy for me to style. I won’t allow anyone else to touch my hair — why would I when he makes me look great!

Went to NeoMod to see Vicki last week and she done a great job. Washed, conditioned, Flat Ironed, and trimed my hair. (She did not chop it all off either) I am on my way to all natural. No more perm. for me.

Unfortunately, my experience was not as positive as some of the other reviewers. I went to Neo Mod, the first time Dwight cut my hair without asking, this was after I had been waiting several hours to get my hair done. Hair appointment times means nothing to some people. I gave Dwight the opportunity to redeem himself and grown my hair back out but after he didn’t show up at the scheduled appointment time, I gave up. He even had the nerve to call and ask me to re-​schedule. I can’t even say he’s a great stylist because the short style he gave was nothing brag worthy.

Neo Mod is a funky but great place. If you live in East Palo Alto, you likely already know about Neo Mod. They seem to share personel with Markman Hair on the next block. Markman is more of a guy’s barber shop, Neo Mod is more for the ladies. But I go to Neo Mod, because owner Dwane does a great job with hair. He just has a flair for it — and after 20 years, you think he should. It’s a labor of love. He cuts me in a peculiar bohemian way that I can’t quite explain but is perfect for me — a rarity. Dwane’s not there every day, but if you take a liking to each other, I can guarentee a great cut.
