Yikes… Overpriced and not good. Eat here if you want a bad lunch. Much better Mexican spots around here like El Gruesse in Palo Alto

I’m sorry but if you want to charge those kinds of prices you should have good food. I spent $ 13.25 on a wet burrito which would have been $ 10 at any other mexican spot. It was bland lacking flavor and spice not even worth the calories. I knew about the bad ratings on Unilocal and wasnt planning on eating here until my neighbor had mentioned she ate there. Don’t waste your money there are soooo many great mexican spots in California!

My boyfriend and I visited lulu’s today and we expected to have some very tasty burritos. We were very sadly mistaken. First, they are so ridiculously over priced! We got 2 burritos, chips and gauc, and a soda for over $ 40! Second, the burritos we got, one chorizo, and one pork, were dripping with grease down my boyfriends arm, it was truly the most disgusting thing I had seen. Third, they were really rude, it was quite loud in the sitting area and the lady taking our order did not speak up and so I couldn’t hear her which just made her seem more pissed off then she already seemed to be. We will not be returning and HIGHLY recommend going to the taqueria by Bel Mateo Bowl WAY better and like a third of the cost.

Disappointing, especially for the price. The guacamole and chips were over $ 7, the portion was quite small the guacamole was watered down. Because of this, the avocado flavor was very diluted. We didn’t even eat half of it. The salad was a generous size, but the chicken had no seasoning. For an order of guacamole, a salad with chicken and huevos rancheros the bill was over $ 30. Ingredients were fresh, but there was nothing memorable about the flavors.

Waited about 25 minutes for our food(this more of a fast-food chain so it shouldn’t have taken nearly that long) while we watched about eight people who ordered after us get their food. It was much more expensive than an authentic taqueria and the food was pretty bland. Wouldn’t recommend.

I’m writing this review for my order to go. The one star for the tasty meat I had on my 2 street tacos for over $ 6. The tortilla shells tasted stale. I’m more upset about my over priced red rice. To my surprise, when I opened the back at work to eat my food, I literally got a very small container for $ 2.30(see picture for the overpriced rice). This place is overpriced for the little amount of food they give you. The food used to be good at the place when they first opened, and now that they have a bigger customer base the food has just been okay. Not sure if it’s the same owners from when they first started, but after this trip to LuLu’s I was disappointed with this place.

Phoned in small order for pick up. Told 20 minutes. Turned into 40. Mexicana salad is lots of romaine and not much else. I think this place needs a fresh eye. It seems very unprofessional and the food is always just okay.

Today my boyfriend and I decided to stop by and grab something to eat… While waiting for our food many tables where empty but with dirty plates from others costumes so I asked the cashier if some once can please clean a table for us then you hear her screen for some one to come clean a few minutes later(about 5 minutes) a guy comes out and walks straight passed us and goes out side and cleans the empty tables outside as he walked inside I politely asked him if he could please clean a table so we can sit and he responded with an attitude«I’m going to do it but this is not my job !» I said excuse me and he just got all the plates off the table and said I’m just a dishwasher and Walked away with out wiping the table that had left over food from the previous customers… We spend about $ 40 dollars on dinner and the least thing we expect is good customer service and to top it off we waited about 20 minutes for our food and after all our food is packed to go and not to be eaten here like we said when we posted our order… I love this place and always come to buy food but after this experience I believe I will be taking my business some where else

Delicious, fresh and clean restaurant. Service is quick, polite and helpful. Place can get pretty busy. Call ahead if you’re in a rush, pick up is an option! ;) Prices are hirer compared to other local taquerias but the portions are fair. My favorite is the chicken chopped salad or the street tacos(chicken or carnitas) both are very juicy and flavorful. Hope you Enjoy it too! :)

Ordered two tacos and it took 30 minutes to get the food. The place wasn’t even that busy. I will not go back.

I usually get a regular burrito with mole sauce(not on the menu) most of the time inside and sometimes outside. With the mole sauce the burrito is very good. Their tacos can be good too, especially their albanil and fish tacos.

I don’t understand anyone who goes to LuLu’s of their own free will when authentic, cheap Mexican food is so readily available in surrounding areas. The food here is incredibly expensive and always made incorrectly. My usual routine is to ask for no cheese and no sour cream on my veggie burrito, I get my burrito, cut it open, see that it was made with cheese and sour cream, send it back, receive another identical/incorrectly made burrito, send that one back and then usually by the third try I’ve gotten the untainted burrito I asked for. I have never had this recurring issue at any other restaurant I have ever been to. I get this mess ups are going to happen, which is fine. But messing up twice in a row in the same way? Every time? No thanks, see ya LuLu’s!

I ordered a fish taco and vege taco, and they have me shrimp taco instead. Other than that, the fish was okay. The food was not as hot as I think. The positive side is that they have comfortable outdoor seating.

The most annoying thing about this place, which is a long list, is when they call the numbers and shout out the last number in the order. Two one FOUUUUUUUUUUUR!!!

The food is middling. I’ve gone three times now, hoping to have just been unlucky. Nope. The chicken is flavorless, the rice is bland and abundant in burritos, and the salsas are pointless. The food isn’t TERRIBLE, but again, middling. That’s fine if it’s $ 5 – 7 for burritos but a $ 9 – 11 range is unacceptable.

What is this for? The scene to be seen? It’s a pretty place in a pretty town but that’s about it. Come to my ghetto if you’re looking for food. Thanks Unilocalers for recommending that mini burrito cuz I didn’t feel too ripped off. But dude if all those salsas weren’t free I would feel ripped off. Naw sorry it was free salsa and I still felt ripped off; none of them even tasted good. I can’t even convince myself. Oh wait they gave like 5 chips with that mini burrito… I guess I’ll give some stars for their gorgeous establishment. 2 stars

~Oh where, oh where has Lulu gone? Oh where or where can she be?~ We used to love Lulu’s, but the price for a small bag of chips is craaazy … the service is rude, slow, and the food is good — but not good enough. We used to go to the Laurel street location, but started going to the Alameda one because they would usually give you some chips for free with your«to-go» order. They used to treat you well and they used to serve your food quickly. «Used to» turned into«never» … so I’m doing the only thing I can … Adiós!

Quick, simple, and the chicken is a little tasteless. The service is good in person; they haven’t messed up any changes that I asked for in my food, but it’s nearly impossible to order over the phone. They do get you your order pretty fast however. You get a free horchata, lemonade, or a watermelon drink with the Unilocal!check-in, but those aren’t very good :(
