I’ve been seeing Gretchen for about 15 years now. She is the BEST. I trust her implicitly with my hair. She’s always honest, gives the best and fastest haircut I have ever had and is just a great person to top it off. Love this place and can’t recommend it enough!

New to the area and after looking at the other Unilocal reviews, decided to make an appointment with Hallie Kauser. Was not disappointed! Decided to cut my hair short (which is pretty scary) but I loved what she did. I even decided I wanted to go shorter (of course once I was already home) and she made room in her schedule to have me come back. She was really concerned with making sure I loved it, which is a great quality. Will definitely be coming back!

I get my hair done by Hallie Kauser. She is extremely talented and really understands your style. I am at the point where I just let her do what she thinks is best. I have NEVER been disappointed in her service. Recently, Hallie did a foil-​free balayage treatment on me. WOW. I cannot describe how amazing it turned out. My hair has never looked this good, felt this soft, or been this healthy. I trust her judgement and she is a truly talented stylist. She makes my hair look natural — I went four months without a touch up because it grew out into a natural ombré.
I live in San Francisco and drive to Menlo Park for her services. So to sum this review up: go to Jasko Schroeder, make an appointment with Hallie, be amazed!

I just had my first haircut with Gretchen and she was absolutely wonderful! After getting married last week and growing out my hair, I decided I wanted to donate 8 inches of it and have a new short style. I have donated my hair twice before, but Gretchen has given me by far the best stylish slightly angled bob out of the three cuts. I’m so excited about it! She also took the extra time to thin out my hair in the bottom which makes a big difference because I have so much hair. This cut was generously complimentary since I was donating which I think is just so awesome of Gretchen. Jasko Schroeder is a beautiful salon with a relaxing atmosphere, and everyone from the front desk to the assistant stylist were so friendly. Thank you so much!

I’ve been coming to see Kristina for years. She is absolutely amazing. She listens to her clients which makes a huge difference if you’ve been to other salons that don’t care. It’s hard for me to trust ANYONE with my hair so since I found Kristina, I’m not letting her go. If you want someone trust worthy I would recommend her.

I can’t recommend the salon and Gretchen highly enough. How much do I love my haircuts? Enough to drive from Oakland to Palo Alto /​Menlo Park for the last ten years…
I love plopping down in the chair, telling Gretchen to have her way with my hair, and watching her have fun with my cuts. She’s always spot on with what will look good. The new salon is beautiful as well.

I get my hair done by Hallie Kauser who is one of the best hair dressers in the bay area! She does exactly what you are going for and is perfection when it comes to hair! She has made my hair so healthy over the past year coming to her! I will never get my hair done by anyone else, because she is amazing! I HIGHLY recommend her!

I have been going to Erika Gaetano for over 15 years and I would HIGHLY recommend her if you would like a great cut, color or anything for your hair. This salon used to be located in Palo Alto on Hamilton and Cowper. They’ve moved, and the new space is truly impressive. I have had my hair done by Gretchen for nearly seven years, and have enjoyed beauty treatments by Henrietta for nearly that long. I absolutely love the new space, and will of course continue to be loyal to both Gretchen and Henrietta. They’ve also added nail services to their list. I highly recommend Jasko Schroeder as your go-​to salon; I drive all the way down from Sausalito and it’s worth every traffic-​filled, pain-​staking moment! :-)

I cannot believe that I am the first to review this salon– what a «hidden» gem! I got my hair done by Erika Gaetano and she did a marvelous job on my color and cut. I had been letting my hair go– a complete anomaly for me– and need drastic hair help. She had me walking out of the salon not only looking fabulous– but years younger too (all those pesky premature grays). The atmosphere was warm and inviting and I loved her little corner for her clients. We had a great time chatting amongst ourselves. So excited for my next appointment. Cheers to great hair!
