Mendota Heights Motel

Don’t listen to Sujan. I don’t doubt his experience was bad, but you do get what you pay for. This place is clean and quiet. The owner is a very nice person, very «no-​nonsense» They have DirectTV and a fridge and microwave in the room. The outlets are only 2 prong, so if you have a laptop, bring an adapter, or buy one at the walmart 2 miles away in Eagan for a buck. (the front desk might have them, but I didn’t ask, I was already at wal-​mart anyway) Overall, this place is just fine for the budget travel who enjoys cleanliness. Beautiful area as well. If you want a concierge, room service, and an attached bar/​restaurant, stay somewhere else, and pay for it. If you want a clean, affordable place to stay, with some good tv, wifi, a fridge and a microwave, stay here!

What an awful small business. I checked in at 5am, asked for an hour late check out, paid cash. I got a phone call at the regular check out time by the owner who demanded I leave. I explained that I told his wife since I was arriving so early in the AM I would like a late check out. He refused. I spoke to the owner’s son thinking it was a language barrier, but his son just passed the phone off to his father.

The shower knob fell off the shower
This place is a dump both appearing and customer service-​wise. Steer clear away.
