Well, years passed and I did return to Mendocino and go on a buying frenzy at Safari. This time the clerk was helpful but let me browse to my heart’s content without being pushy. I gained many lovely unique additions to my wardrobe. I will return!!!

I love this store. Never miss it when I’m in the area.

I recently visited Mendocino for the first time, and happened upon Safari as we were preparing to leave town. I wish I had known about it sooner and had been able to spend more time perusing the lovely clothing and accessories. The store is visually appealing, and items are beautifully displayed to suggest coordinating pieces and accessories. The styles are unique and classy, but very wearable. Pricing seemed good for the quality of design and construction. The sales clerk was attentive, and provided good suggestions that helped me to make a selection that I am very happy with. I will definitely go back and will plan to spend more time when I do.

Rosie helped me today. I’m very selective and not easy to decide on clothing purchases & Rosie was very patient, helpful and put some great outfits together for me. The selection of clothing is unique & modern, but keeping within the Mendo vibe. I’m glad I stopped in today…& my dog was welcomed.:)

I love this store. I got 1 complete outfit with the help of an attentive shopkeeper. All of the fabrics and accessories are so well put together.
I am a full figured woman, and managed to find a great pair of palazzo pants, complimenting top and a lil bling. I would like a better selection of skirts, but the North Coast is a windy place, and the few they had ran a bit too small. I will definitely return to this funky classy shop. Since I am not typically a big shopper, I was really pleased with the service and compliments of the salesperson. I wore my new ensemble out to the Ledford House Bistro for our Friday Date Night Dinner, and I felt perfectly comfortable and put together with my North Coast Style.

I love this store. It’s beautiful, and Sarah, the owner, does a beautiful job coordinating clothes and jewelry. She remembers who you are, even if you only make it in there a few times a year. I always get great customer service. This store has something unique for every woman! I never visit Mendocino without stopping in.

I went in there with my wife and mother-​in-​law and parked myself in a chair while they shopped for 45 minutes. I was told by them that the displays were incredibly well done, great merchandise. I had the opportunity to talk to who I assumed was the store owner and she was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. we spent about $ 250 there on scarves and jewelry and I’m hoping she can find a skirt my wife liked in the right size. I’ll be set for Xmas :-) We’re definitely going back when we visit next year.

Lots of neat funky stuff you really don’t find in other stores. Fair prices, beautiful clothes and jewelry, from all around the world.

Let me start by saying that I spent $ 818 in this store. I loved the clothes and said immediately upon walking in that I could fill my closet with their selection. However, the only salesperson there was on the phone & ignoring me. She acted preoccupied & irritated when I asked her questions. I put together my own outfits & made comments, hoping for some assistance, receiving none. The only time she perked up was when she started ringing up my clothing. Maybe it was an off day for her, or maybe she is always resentful of having to work for a living. Whatever… if the owner of the store is reading this, I shopped on November 2, 2009. If she was the owner of the store, shame on her!!!
