I love maxi quesadilla, and it’s the best quesadilla I’ve ever had. The steak is really tasty. I think they use special seasoning, but I want to know how they make the good taste. Also jamaica is good. We usually mix orange juice with jamaica. I always eat maxi quesadilla, so I don’t know about other items, but I can give five stars for maxi quesadilla.

Excellent food. Big burritos, delicious tacos, and big big maxi quesadillas are all wonderful. Order at the food truck then pay inside while you wait on everything to be cooked.

This is a little food truck on summer that is next to a Mexican ice cream place. You walk up order and they have covered patio seating or you can take your order to go. There is nothing fancy here but they had some good tacos! Their menu is small but what we had was great. They had homemade sauces set out so you could server yourself I loved them all. Chris had the Mexican Burger and had nothing but great things to say about it. We were in a hurry so have to say this is a great stop to get a quick lunch while out running errands.

Cheap good tasting tacos and ice cream is what this place all about. Tacos are served from food truck, and it is not large. One is about as big as normal soft taco from taco bell, but with more meat and double tortiya. Had pork and chorizo, and it was yummy. Note that green sauce is ghost pepper based. Do it only if you like crazy spicy. After meal, go next door for dessert.

Ended up trying two tacos here because a friend organized a taco tour event. I didn’t even know this place existed until that day. I ordered a chicken taco and a beef taco. They were both excellent but surprisingly I ended up liking the chicken one better. Thankfully it didn’t take to long to get our order because I was hungry and they are small but surprisingly filling. The tacos are only 1.50 a piece. Since it wasn’t too hot outside we were able to sit in the tables next to the truck and enjoy our dinner. I am definitely coming back here to eat the next time I am in the area.

This was the third and last place on the Taco tour for me and I thought the tacos were pretty good. I liked that the truck was connected to outdoor seating. I thought that was nice touch. Also too place an order I had to order 3 tacos. So I ordered three different tacos(chicken, steak and chirozo). Each taco was $ 1.50 a piece, not a bad deal since they tasted pretty good. I would go back and try the other items on their menu.

This taco tour is wonderful now I see why the taco trucks stay so crowded the food is delicious even with a line they were very quick and efficient…

Such fast and friendly service! Thanks to Unilocaler Shaun for the recommendation. I ate my pastor taco before I even made it off the lot. While it was a small taco but filled with meat so I was cool about that. The quesadillas were so good! They had the right amount of everything inside. That cheese was perfect too. The only thing I hated was that I didn’t read the sign that said EXTRAHOT! OMG I am a punk for heat so luckily I tried it before I pulled off. I went back up to the food truck and asked for some sour cream to cool me off and it worked out just fine. I kinda liked mixing the sour cream in the red hot sauce. I felt daring bc I swear I can’t take heat lol. But I will definitely be back again and again. Maybe when it warms up I will get some ice cream too!

Not much to be said here, as I only had their tacos and drinks, but O… M…G…these tacos are great! They are just like I remember from back home in So Cal. Real. Legit. Tacos. They also come at the appropriate price point of 99 cents a pop!(when you but 5, but I wanted to eat sooooo many more). They also sell Mexican Coke and legit horchata. Looking forward to trying much more from this establishment!

Saw this truck on one of the news channels during Cinco de Mayo so we finally made time to check it out. We ordered some carne asada tacos, al pastor tacos, and a torta(basically a burrito, using a sub roll instead of tortilla). Location sucks, we tried to check it out once before but couldn’t find it because the truck was actually parked next to a small ice cream shop(and the truck & ice cream building are similar colors), which you won’t realize is there unless your actually standing in front of it. This second attempt they actually pulled the truck out some, but there’s only 2 spots to park, unless you park in Title Max parking next door. If, you’ve ever eaten at a Mexican food truck in bigger cities, then you know your paying less for your food cause it’s not a restaurant set up and your not being waited on. A single taco $ 2.10, plus tax(and it’s smaller than the palm of your hand). Don’t, get me wrong the tablespoon of meat &2 tablespoons of cilantro/onion mix are actually very tasty, probably even considered really good. But, the distance to get there, parking, and price for a single taco, not worth it and that’s why there getting a 3 star. I’d rather go to a Mexican restaurant that provides chips & salsa, tacos have 2 – 3 tablespoons of meat and it comes with beans & rice and you walk out full or with left overs. We paid $ 22.70 for 6 tacos and a torta(no drinks), this was suppose to be dinner, it ended up being a snack cause we were hungry several hours later. Again, it sounds like a lot of food, but remember the taco is literally the size of a womans palm, not including her fingers. Worth a try, but not as reasonable as a Mexican food truck usually is.

I’ve made it my mission to try every taco shop in Memphis… These are definitely my favorite. The meats have the best flavors around. I like to keep it simple with just cilantro and onion to not take away from that. For $ 2 a taco and super fast service, why would you go to a fast food place for a taco. You definitely have to try this food truck.

i’ve gone this past weekend from a recommendation by a friend and i must say this is one of the best taco stands i’ve had in Memphis. The food service is outside on a truck while there is a drink and desserts place right next to it. I guess they are sharing the stores parking lot together which only allows 2 spaces for customers to park then. We had to park next door which was a cash loan place but we got it to go. they have an outdoor patio seating thats semi covered which will fit about 6 tables i think that can accommodate 4 ppl each. The ice cream/drink store right next door can accommodate around 20 – 30 ppl inside which is air conditioned. i’ve seen ppl order and go inside to eat since it is a bit hot outside now. One major plus thing is they do take credit cards. My friends and i had ordered 2 orders of the steak tacos which came 3 to an order. It came with all the fixings, onions, cilantro, onions, lime. they also gave you some sauces that you can top with, we chose the extra spicy one which had a good kick but wasn”t overpowering. The steak was cooked just right where it was still juicy and not dry like some other places and the tacos were heated just right as well. i wish i had captured some photos but my phone had died that day. Can’t wait to try some other dishes from them next time.

It’s good. I enjoyed it. The place is packed, friendly atmosphere. I hit 3 food trucks on summer in one night. I’d go back and try a few more items. They do take credit cards. Big plus being right next to an ice cream joint. Parking is very limited.

Los Tacos Jarochos has always been one of my favorite taco stops. Especially after a night out partying, when i get the munchies after drinking. They are open late on weekends and all their tacos are good. Another favorite is the carne asada torta. Now it is even more awesome because they have and an ice cream shop. So you can eat inside the ice cream shop and get dessert afterwards. The ice cream is good(though not better than La Michoacana). I’m more into spicy so I get the elote prepared with everything, of course extra chile powder. They also have mango ice cream with chile, sort of like a mangoneada. So if you like mexican food and are around this area, it is definitely worth checking out.

No longer just a taco truck, Tacos Los Jarochos now has an immobile ice cream shop right behind it. That also means some indoor seating. Like it’s more famous neighbor down Summer Ave., Tacos Los Jarochos is now a full service paleteria y neveria. They serve the things you’re used to seeing at Mexican Ice Cream Shops. One thing we noticed that’s quite different is how their Aqua Frescas are prepared. Here, at TLJ, there is no milk or cream base. It’s just fruit, water, and sugar(or there about.) They have your typical flavors of Jamaica, Horchata(which of course, is rice milk based) tamarindo, and others like watermelon and cantaloupe. We’ll be back just for the drinks.

First time I’ve found authentic Mexican food in Memphis. I’ve been here 7 years and have tried numerous places that folks say is really good. Well, I feel like I’m back in California with real tacos. We ordered four different tacos and each was delightful — with just the right amount of ingredients. My boyfriend had a torta(sandwich) and it too was delicious. Yum! And I thought I had to wait till we got to the West Coast or Texas for some serious tacos. And all the ingredients are fresh.

Now have a permanent spot for the truck and an ice cream shop attached. Still ok but nothing to write home about. Just OK. We had several different tacos. Most were excessively greasy and were nothing too special. I live where it’s not a far drive to hit Summer or Macon and its my opinion that there are better tacos available on both streets. I would really say 2.5 stars.
