Buyers beware; on 12/19/2014 we purchased a Kenmore side by side Refrigerator including maintenance agreement from SEARS store located at 4570 Popular Memphis, TN at a cost of $ 1873.62. This year the ice maker stop working, I call Sears and receive a ridicules two week appointment with a four hour window; last week the ice maker stop working again called repair and was given an appointment dated 12/30/2015. A third party repair service called today 12/28/2015 to change my appointment to 1÷07÷2016. I’ve been buying ice for almost two weeks; I called Sears repair and told them what was going on with the third party repair changing appointment to another week; I was told by Sears repair there was nothing she could do and that I had to work it out with the third party repair. When I purchased this lemon of a Kenmore maintenance agree; I thought it was an agreement with Sears to repair my refrigerator not pass it over to a third party. I call the store manager where I purchased the refrigerator; needless to say he never called back. Would like to get another refrigerator or my money back for this lemon.

Well, another retail store goes to s@-t. Without getting into all the ridiculous details of how the store manager(Ron«total goof» Peterbough) and appliance repair«manager» handled a situation just know to not buy anything from this store. It really sucks because Rod in appliances(as well as a several other salespeople) are great and try the best they can. It doesn’t make a bit of difference though because he can’t get any support from the idiots that run the store and repair company. The repair company is called by another name but is owned by Sears. I bought 10s of thousands of dollars in appliances from this store over many years and received absolutely unacceptable service so I would hate to see how someone buying just a few appliances would be treated. My honest guess is that Sears won’t be in business much longer and how the two clowns I mentioned still have jobs is beyond me. There was another person working in the service company upper level that was great and handled previous problems very well but he couldn’t take the company and left. So now it seems to be run by incompetent boobs.

This is in reference to the mattress department. The saleslady was pushy, followed me around, and would not give a straight answer to my questions. It really turned me off. She also talked about me to her co-worker: «That lady wants to lay on all the beds.» How else do you shop for mattresses? Some snippets of conversation: Lady: Do you want to know which mattresses are our most popular? Me: No, thank you. I’m just going to try them out and see what I think. Lady: Ok, let me tell you our four most popular. — Me: How much do I save on this mattress if I don’t get the box spring? Lady: Well you void the warranty. Me: Ok. Lady: And when your mattress is old, I’m not saying your mattress is old, but when it’s old, it can sag. And we will take your old mattress away for you. Me: Ok… I’m confused, can you tell me how much the mattress is by itself? Lady: It’s different for all the sets. I can’t tell you one price for all the mattresses. Me: But… this one? Can you tell me for this one? As an example? Lady: Oh that is an excellent mattress. Very popular. Good choice. — Lady: You can also open a line of credit and get 0% interest for [some amount of time]. Me: Would it save me money today on my first purchase? Lady: You get this 10% discount. Me: Isn’t that for everyone? You have to sign up for the card to get 10% off? Lady: Oh, it’s for everyone. Me: So would getting the credit card save me money on my purchase today? Lady: Yes, you get 0% interest… Me: But would it give me a discount on my first purchase? Lady: You would get $ 15 off your first purchase.

Today was a good shopping day for me at Sears. I had 3 pair of shoes in my basket ranging from $ 7.49-$ 12.50 and they were very cute. Two of them are from the Kardashian brand. Unfortunately, all 3 employees I encountered were rude, loud and unprofessional. The details are too much to get into but all I will say is the employees were more focused on socializing with each other than working. Don’t they know that their store has one foot in the grave. They need some customer service training. They get two stars because of my bargains.
