I guess over the years, it was ingrained in my head that Sears is always a place to come to for home appliances. However I dream of Viking appliances in my kitchen, maybe one day that can happen. Until then, Sears will be my choice. My most recent visit came as I needed a washer and dryer. That is one of those things that I would not eat for a week before I would have dirty clothes, especially in the business I am in. My bright blue shirts usually come home dirt black. On my drive around the city, I saw that there was a Sears about 4 miles from the house– so I knew that would be the place to go. The place was kind of empty, but that was ok, easier to take care of business. I forgot my sales associates name, but she was knowledgeable and friendly. I wanted to go with the cheapest set they had, but I should have known better that they were sold out. So I saw some swanky looking Samsungs(that apparently just arrived the day before), and with delivery, parts, and tax, it totaled to about $ 1500. This is nice, because A) Samsung has each piece listed at $ 750, before all the fun stuff, and B) I was able to save $ 140 off both items($ 699 Sears list, got em $ 629 a piece). So that was cool. When it was time to deliver, I got a call the night before to give me a confirmation and time to deliver, and they were there inside the window. They delivered them and gave us the run down on everything. Overall it was a pleasant experience. The only thing that really prevents me from giving it 5 stars is that some of the departments looked like they could have used some love. Now I have machines that sing to me, and for that, I thank Sears. I will surely come back here if I have any other items I need.

Yuck. Yuck. Double, Triple Yuck! My husband and I randomly drove out this way when looking to purchase furniture. There is a Value City out here, and we stopped in the Sears on our return home. Yes, we thought it odd that the mall parking lot was all taped off, but we assumed that they were repaving it. It was also a Sunday, so there was a large probability that they were closed. We found out later this mall had closed down a while back, leaving the empty parking lot and the Sears. Who knew? This Sears is pretty empty. There isn’t much of a selection at all. Not really in any department, but especially lacking in the furniture department. There were 2 beds, a lazy boy and a night stand. The clothes were sparse and the home goods pretty barren as well. The staff was unfriendly, unhelpful and really just looked bothered to be there. The worst was when we got out of our car. My husband let out a shocked, muted moan. He then immediately covered his mouth, and pulled me in the direction of the store. Directing me not to look towards the drivers’ side of our vehicle. Of course I had to look! How could you not after that spectacle?! Sure wish I hadn’t. There was a dead pit bull puppy hanging out of a hefty bag inside of a rubber maid bin sitting right next to my left front tire. The image still haunts me. When we hunted down a Sears worker and informed him, he seemed uninterested and didn’t do a damn thing about it. So, we found a security guard in the mall parking lot who proceeded to call Animal Control. Absolutely vile. I will not be returning to this Sears again. I still have nightmares about this experience.
