I was introduced to Kevin and Shannon by an old friend, Singer. This guy had a great taste in friends and a better taste in tattoos. Shannon did my work and very impressive in his shading and touch. I really wished all of my work was by him. Kevin had the touch to freehand. He was able to sketch out what he wanted right on your skin. I can’t say enough about these guys. I hope to return to get more work done, no matter how far I have to travel!

I was given an appointment a year in advance of my appointment with Big Kev. It was odd to me that I had to wait for an entire year but that is their reputation. Let me say this was my first tat so I was not under the assumption that I wanted what I was set for but a year gave me time to really think about what I wanted and for that I am very happy. Big Kev and Shannon are top of the line above all others and you get more than what you pay for. Anyone that has a complaint must be crazy. The day of the ink I got there and had time to see Shannon working on an officer for the MPD who is a fishing nut evidently. My thought was more like what I had seen on TV where they put a transfer on your arm and go at it. Big Kev made my art my own piece. Not just the picture I wanted. It was a great experience. Very cool place. My wife and I are on for October 2014… a year and a half from the day we set our appointment. YES it is all that!

I’ve had 2 tattoos done by Shannon which I absolutely love and since then I moved away from Memphis 6 years ago but am coming to visit this month and wanted to get a touch up done on my 10 year old tattoo from him. I called the shop several times back in June and left messages each time and never got a call back. Very disappointing!

Have been getting work done at Ramesses for years. Moved to Memphis in 99. Looked around for a tattoo artist, no one really impressed me, too much flash on the wall. Walked into Ramesses and what did I see? all original work, no flash. Spoke with Kevin for 5 minutes and knew this was the place for me. Both Kevin and Shannon are top notch artist. I no longer live in Memphis, now reside in Palm Springs, CA, still find time to fly into Memphis and get work done. If you plan on scaring your body for life, these are the guys to do it,

Hands down the best tattoo parlor in town. With only word of mouth advertising and a Facebook page, these guys currently have a 9 month waiting list. Both Shannon and Kevin are amazing artists first and foremost. They are also very personable and make you feel at home in their shop whether you are having work done or just stopping by to say hey. If you are planning to put ink on your skin, give these guys a call. It’s worth the wait.

I have heard nothing short of wonderful about Ramesses(pronounced Ramsey’s) Tattooing skills since I moved to Memphis. Only did I really, truly believe it once I saw what these guys do. In the way of tattooing these guys got mad skills. They’ve got the waiting list to prove it. Yes, you will be put on a waiting list. I was told it would be about 6 months, which I was prepared for. When my husband and I walked in last Tuesday to see about making appointments, I was shocked and awed to find that we would not be able to sit down with these brothers for 9 whole months. 9MONTHS! That’s like having a baby! Hell fire! So, I have an appointment in May to get my much beloved Beatles tattooed on my forearm. Kevin and Shannon were both extremely friendly and outgoing. We perused their books of tattoos(they are seriously so unbelievably talented in the way of tattooing) and talked with them for about 15 minutes. I explained to Kevin what I was looking for, a silhouette of the fab 4 on my forearm either while walking on Abbey Road or from the HELP! album, not quite sure yet. He asked me to send him some photos of any ideas I get and we could bounce things off one another. He was extremely down to earth, as was Shannon. I would recommend this place for anyone’s first tattooing experience. I know mine was less than appealing, and I can tell right off the bat that Kevin and Shannon go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I also found out that aside from a Facebook page, Ramesses has no other outlet for marketing. That’s right– no website to speak of, and not even a sign hanging on their front door. We had to be guided in by a regular via a phone call. So, these guys rely solely on word of mouth advertising. I don’t know about you, but any establishment that has a 9 month waiting list and works solely off word of mouth– well, they have to be good. Really good. I will, of course, let you know in May how the tattoo comes out. I will be waiting with great anticipation.
