I love this place. So swanky and can’t beat the food for the price. The service is great. They don’t skimp on toppings. I want to go at least once a week.

Trying this Pesto Chicken Pizza on Monday It’s delicious. So far my favorite. I went again this weeks and ordered the same pizza. they were out off spinach. no cube mozzarella the Service not to good. I am the only a one in line, stood there 5 to 6 minutes before someone told someone to help me. Maybe this was not a good night

Pyros is one of my go-to places in Memphis for pizza. It’s quick, easy, and has a subway-esque to way order your pizza with nearly unlimited toppings. Pizza is the only thing I get here but it’s worth every visit.

Best pizza place in town. Build your own with as much meat and veggies at one low price.

This pizza was actually cool for a low budget pizza spot. I like the fact you can build your own for the same price. I agree with some of the other reviews about the marginal taste and soggy middle. But I will chalk the sogginess up to the topping selection. For the price and the experience it was a great value. I will have the salad next time and let you all know what I think. This was my first time but I’ll have to come back on a Tuesday so I can get my free drink with my Unilocal check-in!

Dang. That was some good eats! I had passed this place almost on a daily basis for months before finally stopping by to grab some pizza. I wasn’t really sure how it all worked but it was a kind of build-your-own-pizza set up. If this makes you nervous they also have combinations you can choose from. I got the Southwestern with artichoke hearts added and my wife got the Pesto pizza. They were both amazing. I think we both enjoyed the Pesto the most though so if you don’t know what to get I’d say that’s a good starting place!

Love pyros! Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Not overpriced but it can get very crowded and finding a seat at times can be a challenge.

I like that I get to customize my pizza without the extra cost. The crust was delicious. Everything was actually delicious. I can’t wait to come back!

Über friendly people and not your normal pizza. Have it made your way with more variety of fresh toppings the anywhere I’ve seen.

Pyros pizza is fantastic! Build your own pizza from a dozen of ingredients or order one of their originals. If you see a long line, don’t fret! I went during lunch hour and it was super busy, but the wait wasn’t long at all! The employees are so friendly and give great suggestions on pizza.

My family loves the fresh toppings and how you can get as many toppings as you want for the same price. It’s one of the few eating establishments I can take the whole family and make everyone happy. What I don’t love is their inability to keep the sweet tea supply in the dispensers. And lately if there is tea in there, it tastes old. I asked them if they could make more tea, and I figured it wouldn’t be a problem 1.5 hours before closing time, but no one ever made any more. I’m also not a fan of the free style machines. The Coke especially has a weird off-flavor coming from the freestyle machines. Next time I think I’ll just order a beer.

Not only I am a fan of this place. My family loves this place. This is a great place for anyone looking to have the pizza they want. The pizza’s always come out tasting so good. For dessert don’t forget the Sweet Bites!!! They are so good.

After being recommended this place by a fellow Unilocaler, I was so intrigued by their concept. Picture Chipotle or Moes but with customizable pizzas and salads, and you have Pyro’s! The options and combinations are endless(whether it’s choosing the toppings, blending the sauces, half/halfing the sauces and pizza, or just altering their individual choices). With the endless choices, the price is really reasonable. If I ever have a pizza crave and need a quick fix, I hope there’s a Pyro’s nearby!

Going against the grain a bit on this one but I’m not that impressed with this place. Pizza is ok I guess. Don’t really like the stand in a line, get your own drink, search for a table thing. Just not my place but I guess it’s ok for a quick lunch.

Best place for quick and customizable pizza and salads! I love getting to put all my favorite ingredients together and even better — it’s unlimited! The price is extremely reasonable, especially since the snack pizzas or salads are one full meal for me. I also usually don’t buy salads when I eat out, but since you can put literally anything on it at Pyro’s, I love getting salads here. The salads also come with bread and it’s so yummy. I wish they warmed it up a bit, but I’ll take it any way. Friendly service. Lines can get pretty long at this location on Union especially during rush hour times, so heads up. Parking is also pretty limited in the back lot. BUT this is THE place to go for a quick pizza craving fix. I’d pick over Chipotle: D

Ok, the pizza is great. It really is. But I’ve been to three different locations, and I’m finding the same problems. I order pickup each time, and the pizza is always cold. The box is never hot when they hand it to me. The service, at least when you get a to-go order, is terribly disorganized. I always see employees standing around when they could have been ringing up my order. I’ve literally watched my pizzas get cold because employees aren’t sharing responsibilities. And then they get offended when I ask if I could please pay for my pizza and leave.

Fantastic. They are back to cooking it crispy again. Also, I tried their sun-dried tomatoes, and they are tasty! Great service is ALWAYS appreciated! Let’s hope they expand in the future!

Updating this because they did respond to the comments. Would have been great since they do this in the open to not see the dough go on the trash and get used for something else, and maybe harsh because you don’t see the waste in other restaurants. And it is great pizza. And good as vegan. I would go back. Service and consistency way better at the union location than the ridgeway. This is going down to a one because they make their dough too big and trim it on the tray. Then throw it away. No making the ball things. Or how about making your dough balls the right size so food isn’t wasted…

I’m in the fence about the three stars. I hate to lead off like this but… I have been to Pyro’s three times now. The first was at the Ridgeway location and I never got to eat because of the ridiculously long lines. Boo for that The second time was here and I was treated very well. The guy at the front make station took the time to explain the whole process to me and did a great job of making me feel comfortable with the new venture. I found the crust to be very good but the sauce and toppings seemed a little off. There were big giant balls of Italian Sausage that seemed out of place and kind of cheap. The marinara was too sweet and again seemed really commercial but not even really good commercial. I did like the crunchy crust though so I thought hey they will work out the topping eventually. I had water only to notice afterwords they had charged me $.60 for tap water… Really? Who does that? Hmmm… The third visit I was greated by some short kid with shaggy hair and his hat pulled down way too low to see his eyes. He seemed pensive and withdrawn. This is not who you put as lead guy on an open line kitchen. Next up was the final topping guy and the cashier. She started to process my payment and started the timer on my check in deal and told topping dude she was going to the back to do prep work. He then stated that he has been busting his ass on the line all day and he was going to take a break first. This upset the cashier and a small argument ensued. Great experience not happening so far. Pizza comes in about 8 minutes and the food runner weaves through the 6 – 8 dirty tables around me that have been that way since I sat down. I am excited that they changed that awful sausage to something more acceptable as Italian Sausage. It looks pretty good until I try to pick up a slice. Weak, droopy, crust. Not quite done and very little crunch if any. The fresh mozzarella fell of of the pizza as you tried to pick it up. I’ve never seen that before. Not a very good pizza at all really. The sauce is funky, way too sweet. All in all this was a two star visit. I give it three for previous visit and the fact that I think that have a REALLY cool concept. It could be great if the people in operations could execute better. I did not see anyone who looked in charge the entire time I was there. I’ll be back though. Really love the concept!

The Subway model brought to pizza– it works for me. OK, here’s the gimmick, instead of the typical«phone in your pizza order», your pie is built before your eyes.. .in a playful fun way. Sorry to take all the mystery out of this process. This place is actually good and a good time. Relevant local brews on tap add to my positive opinion as c’mon nothing goes better with pizza than a great local beer. Service is helpful and responsive in this trendy Qdoba-styled pizza place. The décor is clean and stylish, service very helpful, and they build a good pizza(if you don’t like it you only have yourself to blame). In time I can envision a move away from fast food pizza into a sit down restaurant, but for now the line remained long and diners appeared happy with this model. Best pizza on Earth? Nope, but certainly far from the worst. Give it a try!(with a lovely MemphisMade or Wiseacre in tow). Approved.
